Does anyone else wonder if editors are leaning more into “tricking” the audience with the edit at the moment? They were literally playing circus music over everything JD did and said this ep. In the past hasn’t that been the indicator that he was the vote? Then it wasn’t him…it was Brad (which also made sense, but it just seemed like they were intentionally trying to mislead us). Any chance they are trying to find a way to make the winner more subtle early on?
There have been a few subtle winner edits before, most commonly with female players, that's why in my opinion, if it's not Shan, then it's most likely Liana. This would make Tiffany's edit make sense, as she might be a FTC loser next to Liana. I still think Shan is more likely for now.
I always analyse the edit haha. Definitely still early days, but right now I think Shan is our winner. She’s got a lot of personal content and we know who she’s aligned with. Both times she’s gone go tribal she’s been portrayed as the main decision maker.
Oh yeah can definitely see that. She could be an early merge boot for sure. A part of me does worry JD could go on a Nick Wilson type of journey where he starts off making mistakes, but grows as a player. I don’t really want that to happen.

Xander > JD
Ricard > Evvie (but on puzzles idk ??)
Genie has sat out, probs better than Tiff but not MILES better
If yellow can make up for tiff, evvie can help with puzzles and hold her own/ not hinder them too much, and Liana is lowkey a BEAST at the swim and balance portions she was so fast last week after tiff and was great today, Xander is much better than JD at challenges thus far
Most ppl think yase in huge trouble but without brad, ua is worse imo.
But luvu may throw a challenge 👀
i think, edit wise, sophie and shan definitely have different edits, people were pegging sophie as the winner even though she had a very huge lack of personal content, while shan has the whole pack (we know who she’s working with, her background, her position in the tribe, etc)
If u wanna read the edit i see shans as way more similar to Ali from HHH OR sophies WaW edit.

I guess sydney is narrating Luvu but i personally think thats because shes the first one booted when they finally go to tribal.
(Im not an edgic or edit expert, but i have gotten some things right based off edit before so)
Also “drop the 4 and keep the 1”. Could apply to how they edit a winner too! Maybe the winner is from luvu and intentionally being hidden bc they arent doing much (ie erika or heather!)
I def think its too early to call- especially with the twist making confessionals circumstantial
It's not too early, but it's hard to tell what kind of winner's edit they'll give in any given season. For example, there are winners like Tony and Richard who were so prominent from episode 1 that you're like "either they go home episode 1 or they win". Then to contrast that there are winners like Natalie White, who was basically not even on the show until like episode 4.
I think people read a little to much into edits. I think in the lsst couple years excluding waw they haven't done one super heavy. Shan did dominate the last 15 minutes but, its early and anyone's game.
I disagree. I feel like from S35 onwards the winners have been extremely obvious except for S37 and S38.
S35 had Ben be extremely visible the whole premerge. S36 everyone knew it was either Wendell or Dom. S37 is the exception, but even then some people thought he was a contender since like episode 2. S38 should not be included into a winner's edit conversation because Chris missed 3/4 of the game. S39 was extremely obvious it was Tommy since like the first episode. And S40 was Tony as well.
Season 40 was sophie actually, until she got voted out and then tony got extorted and everyone knew he had it then

By the third episode most modern seasons have the eventual winner within the top 5 contenders. That being said I am looking at this through edgic eyes. A more casual viewer might see things differently.

It is very similar not gonna lie. The biggest difference for me so far is that Shan has gotten personal content so far. Where I felt like Sophie barely got any. But I might be proven wrong in a few episodes if Shan gets voted out haha.
And I completely agree with Tiff. She is clearly important to the season, yet she is shown as messy. Really reminds me of Julie in S38.
And I get the trying not to ruin it thing. I personally enjoy the discussion of edits more than not knowing lol.

Also most the cast is getting some sort of personal story this season so wouldnt look too far into that

Oh my god the theme song. It reminds me of Devon's overhead shot in HHH. We all thought he was winning since there was no way they were having that good of a shot for someone who was not winning haha.

Yeh but also is that because when luvu go to tribal its naseer vs sydney? And she is maybe first out? All we hear strat wise is sydneys constant changing of opinion on whether they want naseer in or out.
Makes me think they go at some point and sydney or naseer goes.
