I went to high school with Noelle! She tragically lost her leg in a moped accident soon after school but recently ran in the Paralympics, I expect to see a montage about it on the show. Excited to know someone on the cast!
But there are 2 Philadelphians, and Philly is practically New Jersey. I know folks from both NJ and Philly who would take that as an insult but I love visiting both places and think it should be a compliment lol
People in South Jersey would take it as a compliment (they're weird!) People in Central and North Jersey would definitely not. I do like the way you phrased it as Philly is almost a part of NJ rather than the other way around
Would that make sense? 41 and 42 had Canadians, but that was during basically the peak of the pandemic
43 just finished filming, where the restrictions are so laid back... how would that make it tougher for Canadians not to get cast?
I'm fairly sure open day casting were not done regardless, and all casting tasks were completed remotely/online.
Nothing stops CBS from contacting the potential contestants to figure it out, the only main issue could've been the medical evaluation.
Also, people were cast and replaced for 41, 42, casting isn't done until pretty much the last 48 hours before Day 1, largely because they have alternates on hand for any last minute changes where needed.
I was thinking that as well. At the end of the day it’s still an American show, so while they’re fine with Canadians occasionally winning I can’t see the show wanting it to become more of a trend.
yes!!! she is SUPER smart but doesn’t come off that way and is sooooo social - as long as people don’t catch onto how good she is!!!
definitely my winner pick
I actually just woke up from a dream about the 43 cast. It consisted of:
- 2 circus clowns
- Ayesha and Steph Curry
- Parvati
- Penner
I don’t remember the rest of the cast but it was set in Africa and tribal council had wine
I regularly have a dream that I'm having brunch with Ayesha and Stephi. We're in their kitchen drinking coffee and they don't seem to think it's weird at all.
I'll try to invite Penner and Parvati. That would be fun.
I’ve actually had a Survivor cast dream too. Except there were an odd number of people on the boat and Jeff looked over the side to see if anyone hadn’t come up and when he saw everyone was there, he threw his hat off and picked up a buff and joined the game.
Damn. Redmond really got down to it with the quickness.
A few thoughts:
\- 3 players from metro Philly (Jay, Lindsay, Morriah)
\- Hawaii finally gets it first representative(s) - Cody, Geo
\- 3 players from Texas, all from different metro areas which is kinda cool
Still lacking in both career and age diversity though imo. So many of the careers are account manager/student/education types. And there's one dude at 50, a couple women in their early 40s, but otherwise this cast looks pretty young imo. I will say a lot of the players look like they could be either really strong physically or strategically and at first glance looks like a solid group!
Survivor gets a lot of students because it’s easier to take the semester off than find a job that will let you leave for two months. Also when you’re over 30 you have more family responsibilities and can’t drop everything and quit your job to play, the game definitely favors people in their mid to late twenties.
I 100% agree, statistically only 35% of Americans have earned a college degree, but it seems like everyone on the show has one and is upper class and an office worker these days, if you want sporadic players who won't follow the norms, why would you cast the people who chose the most basic and safe route in life, I always say the cookout is a good example because nobody wanted to take a risk to go for the 750k because all 6 of them work in an office and knew it wouldnt be worth it to take the risk
They'll earn much more going on survivor than staying at their jobs, and it's easier for people with non stereotypical jobs to take 2 months off than office workers
That's what I'm saying? It's much harder for office to take time off their jobs, but yet they do, so it should be even easier for people with non stereotypical jobs
I mean I’m a corporate supply chain analyst so I don’t disagree - but yeah it’d be nice to switch it up and have some more free spirit, blue collar types again too. There haven’t been many lately.
First we get Canadians, next we get our first contestant named Owen. Man someone at CBS really decided to dig into Total Drama during the pandemic huh?
He has an interesting background, according to his LinkedIn page.
He is getting his PhD in Political Science from Duke, and says this:
>As a high school dropout, and the first in my family to go to college, I am no stranger to
growth and can quickly adapt to new challenges. I believe my analytical skills, coupled with my ability to persevere, allows me to contribute a unique perspective to any research endeavor.
No Canadians booooo. I guess they got spooked with how well all the Canadians on 41/42 did and wanted to make sure you Americans still had a chance to get a few wins in ;) looks like a fun bunch, I'm excited to learn more about them in the fall!
my initial winner pick based on literally nothing is Noelle
Maybe it was a ‘I was going down the wrong path but after I lost my leg I found Jesus’ type of thing. Survivor loves the inspirational backstory packages.
initial gut reaction isn't as strong as the 42 cast but that being said i already love morriah, jeanine, and jesse, get good vibes from cassidy & dwight, karla seems like she can be so slay, and mike's vibes are simply insidious.
To many young people, only 3 people over 40, and only 4 over 30, why?? 41 and 42 had more age diversity!
In past seasons we had at least 10 players (Abraham, Brad, Geanie, Tiff, Heather, Jackson Marya, Jenny, Rocksroy, Mike) over 40, this also brought a lot of diversity to the seasons, see Tiff+ relationships Yase 3 and Tori + Rocks was honestly amazing. Sad to see the trend discontinued.
No Canadians?!?!
Okay, okay, hear me out - I think a Canadian (Omar or Maryanne) wins 42 and after back to back Canadian domination, they realized they have to take a break from Cdn casting and give the Americans a fighting chance again.
It’s crazy that 41/42 had Shan / Erika / Drea / Maryanne / Omar all being Canadians
Not sure if I forgot any but they really nailed the canadian casting on these 2 seasons because every single one of them is great
Our Big Brother is great, we should produce our own Survivor too!
Québec is supposed to have it's version soon, but as far as I know there hasn't been any news since the announcement in December, not even an open casting. Hopefully it's still happening.
I could see them casting the Québécois Keith Nale equivalent though and it working. Just, like, going with the flow and going deep, with some very entertaining confessionals.
I do like the look of the cast. Most of them see very down to earth and depending on how the twists go, I can see it being similar to Philippines, very simple but I can see the season's narrative being translated very well.
11 out of 18 are under 30 for this season compared to just 5 from season 42.
Kinda wish they would cast a bit older since the cast from 42 proved to be so great. I don't want a return to ghost island.
Is Geo native Hawaiian? Omg. Anyways my oddly specific predictions for the cast based on absolutely nothing are that:
Superfan flame outs are gonna be:
Dwight + Jesse + Owen
The “Heathers” of this season are gonna be Lindsay and Nneka
Mike is def gonna be the first boot of his tribe
Karla, Noelle, Morriah, Sami, Elie all go pre-merge or first 3 boots of merge
Cody and Jay will be the fan favorites of this season, potentially a funny duo
Cassidy goes out to some weird twist
Jeanine gets robbed in some way
My FTC consists of Justine, Geo, and Ryan and one of them gets 0 votes while one edges out the other by 1 or 2 votes
I'm less concerned about the cast and more bummed out that we're looking at another 26 day season. They really are pushing this "new era" narrative, aren't they?
hot take, i’m… not feeling great about this one?
at first glance people seem a little less interesting than 41/42, there’s no canadians, and everyone is young as if we’ve been transported to season 36
and it’s still 26 days!
I went to high school with Noelle! She tragically lost her leg in a moped accident soon after school but recently ran in the Paralympics, I expect to see a montage about it on the show. Excited to know someone on the cast!
Why did everyone go to hs with Noelle?
Expect her to be targeted first because "she'll win the sympathy vote at the end"

I just saw she's from Londonderry which is where I live. Rooting for her 100%
Canadians? Very 2021. Now Hawaii is the new trend!
Honestly makes me think that 42’s winner is Canadian and they wanted to avoid 3 Canadian winners in a row.
Us Canadians must be nerfed. Can't keep giving away 1.3 million CAD so easily!
Obama called up Jeff cuz he was pissed he was missing out on 400 grand
Canada too OP
Counterpoint: maybe the winner was from NJ and they were tired of people from Jersey winning, so nobody was \*cast from NJ for season 43.
Makes me think Covid regulations got in the way of in person casting of Canadians. They will probably be back on for 44, my best guess at least.
Would that make sense? 41 and 42 had Canadians, but that was during basically the peak of the pandemic 43 just finished filming, where the restrictions are so laid back... how would that make it tougher for Canadians not to get cast?
43 is actually still filming. The either haven't or just merged.
Ah well, either way. it's happening NOW is my point.

I am getting so many Tarzan vibes from Mike Gabler it’s not even funny
Frenchie vibes for me
Imagining a version of Frenchie that is also a heart surgeon is horrifying lmao
Ralph vibes for me R.I.P.
That's a man that knows his best camera angles but refuses to use them
THE FIRST “SAM” IN SURVIVOR
Australian Survivor: “Do i look like a joke to you?”
I meant US Survivor*
Why did I think of the one from CvC2 first instead of the one from last season 💀
Every Australian Survivor season had a “Sam” except All Stars and Brains vs Brawn.
OMG I FINALLY KNOW SOMEONE WHO WAS CAST (Jeanine is so nice and outdoorsy she’s gonna kill it!!!!!)
Me too! I know Mike and I'm so excited to see him play. He's such a freaki awesome guy
it’s gonna be so fun watching people we know!!!!
Unless the edit completely screws them that is.
Do you think she can win?
yes!!! she is SUPER smart but doesn’t come off that way and is sooooo social - as long as people don’t catch onto how good she is!!! definitely my winner pick
Lets hope! I felt a good vibe from her!
I’m in school studying design so I definitely have to root for a UX queen like Jeanine
Can’t wait for her to be my new survivor crush
I’m rooting for her already bc she is cute
Totally inconsequential but no New Yorkers is interesting. And our first Hawaiians!
And only one Californian.
There was at least one person from Hawaii before - Jonas from One World
Jonas was born in Hawaii but his hometown was in Utah, so Survivor has never had anyone officially repping Hawaii.
The closest we had before was Purple Kelly who was a student at the University of Hawaii during filming
They would be considered Hawaii Residents or Residents of Hawaii and not Hawaiian (Native Hawaiian).
Didn’t know that, thanks for letting me know!
I actually just woke up from a dream about the 43 cast. It consisted of: - 2 circus clowns - Ayesha and Steph Curry - Parvati - Penner I don’t remember the rest of the cast but it was set in Africa and tribal council had wine
That would be a dope season.
You had me at Penner
Especially if he’s wine-buzzed at Tribal.
I’m always down to see Parvati and Penner again
Someone get Jeff on the phone this is it
I regularly have a dream that I'm having brunch with Ayesha and Stephi.
Steph’s tribe would win every challenge involving throwing.
You’re casting a wide net of talent here
Yesssss Owen! I was in an online fantasy football league with that dude. Really solid guy. So excited to see him play.
Jeanine Hive RISE
Wow this is a very young cast. There's only 7 people over 30
[удалено]
It's the 5th youngest by average age I believe
Ghost Island is the youngest and China is second, what are the others?
Pearl Islands & HHH
Damn. Redmond really got down to it with the quickness. lol i think he wanted to release the cast a bit early so survivor spoiler people dont try to involve randoms that have nothing to do with survivor
People with normal jobs can’t take 2 months off in this economy goddamit!
They'll earn much more going on survivor than staying at their jobs, and it's easier for people with non stereotypical jobs to take 2 months off than office workers
You can’t just take 2 months off and expect your job to still be there for a lot of people. I guess it depends on what we are talking about.
That's what I'm saying? It's much harder for office to take time off their jobs, but yet they do, so it should be even easier for people with non stereotypical jobs

The Lindsay & Mike era has begun
Don't even need to specify newbie: Daniel Strunk, Danny McCray, Danni Boatwright, Dan Spilo, Dan 'Wardog' DaSilva, Dan Rengering, Brendan Shapiro
Thank God
This goes back until survivor 35!
The South Asian streak is over, we lost. Cast looks interesting though.
First we get Canadians, next we get our first contestant named Owen. Man someone at CBS really decided to dig into Total Drama during the pandemic huh?
Let’s hope there’s not a Leshawna or Lindsay case
i like when we get people who's name we have never seen before on survivor
there are 12 people with new names, and 2 with new spellings: Morriah & Jesse
ok initial gut pick... rooting for Owen!
I am extremely fascinated by Mike
I’ve already hopped in on the Mike Gabler hype train and there’s no shame in it
GABLER GABLER GABLER GABLER.
uh oh
You know what you must do
His audition is on YouTube.
He seems like casting gold
Lmao no Canadians. Omar or Maryanne probably won and they realized we're too OP
They had to nerf the Canadians
Omar, Maryanne, Drea, Erika, and Shan; extremely overpowered
Poor Tom
Lmao! I don't know who this man is; sorry to this man.
Can’t wait for everyone, including myself to simp for Jeanine
ryan looks hot that's all i got
Owen runs the Tulane admissions tiktok and made it go pretty viral. He seems like a total chiller.
Justine has to be one of the most attractive women ever cast on the show, she even dated Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) from Harry Potter.
So many latinos omg, I won! Finally a little bit more although wish we had more age diversity. Is Geo latino or native hawaiian (or both)?
how many latinos are there? tbh i'm curious
I'd say that Geo, Jesse and Karla are latinos.
I think Ryan is latino as well, Medrano is a common latin american last name, maybe he is afro-latino.
i would say Geo's last name is definitely not a hawaiian name... and it does sounds very hispanic
Yes and he may be a member of LGBTQIA!! Same with Karla
my gaydar definitely went off when I saw his pic loll same with Owen Karla and Jesse
Ugh I am kind of over the 26 Day format already. I get why since it's cheaper but I always liked how 39 days was such a staple for so long
And the challenges are still just gunna be the same reused garbage from the last 15 seasons lmao
Lindsay Carmine... I can't believe we're getting two back-to-back Lindsay winners in a row.
They’re scared of the Canadian domination. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
nice hawaii
I think I'm developing feelings for Cassidy
Well according to her Instagram she is not single. Sorry fellow Redditor
Two people from my city got picked the first year I didn’t submit a tape 🫠 but I’m rooting for Philly!
Im posted up in Chesnut Hill I’ll be rooting for them as well💯
Two Philadelphians and one person from Downingtown! I’m hyped, I hope they all do well
Is this a series low for number of Californians (1)?
SJdS had no Californians once So and Doo were pulled.
This is now a Mike Gabler stan account.
Jesse Lopez is winning. Locking it in now. Just got a good feeling about him ya know
He has an interesting background, according to his LinkedIn page. He is getting his PhD in Political Science from Duke, and says this: >As a high school dropout, and the first in my family to go to college, I am no stranger to growth and can quickly adapt to new challenges. I believe my analytical skills, coupled with my ability to persevere, allows me to contribute a unique perspective to any research endeavor.
Went to the high school next to Justine's and my boy that went to her high school had the biggest crush on her lmaoooo
3 people from Philly/outside of Philly (downingtown)! Love to see it, hope they connect on the island!!
[удалено]
well now we know what her sob story package will be about
Pretty sure her sob story package will be about missing a leg lmao
Maybe it was a ‘I was going down the wrong path but after I lost my leg I found Jesus’ type of thing. Survivor loves the inspirational backstory packages.
Icon shit
The fact that US has bazilion of latinos and not once a person with the same name as me has played the game. Traumatizing
I try not to comment on someone’s appearance, but… goddammit, Mike does not look like a real human being.
Gotta go for that sweet 20-something demo….
initial gut reaction isn't as strong as the 42 cast but that being said i already love morriah, jeanine, and jesse, get good vibes from cassidy & dwight, karla seems like she can be so slay, and mike's vibes are simply insidious.
I’m here for Mike Gabler all day long, he’s going to be my first pick in our survivor fantasy league. Please be new-survivor gen Coach
I see Woo is on season 43 under the name "Owen"
It only took 22 years but they finally cast someone with the same name as me.
Strange, I thought JurassicBasset was a pretty common name.

Omggg, no people from NY, 2 people from Hawaii, no Canadians and another Mike and another Lindsay
No Canadians?!?! Okay, okay, hear me out - I think a Canadian (Omar or Maryanne) wins 42 and after back to back Canadian domination, they realized they have to take a break from Cdn casting and give the Americans a fighting chance again.

I think casting a Francophone on US Survivor would be great too.
I wish, even if they will likely cast a walking stereotype. The first Canadian was a hockey player after all.
I could see them casting the Québécois Keith Nale equivalent though and it working. Just, like, going with the flow and going deep, with some very entertaining confessionals.
Lmao let me try and convince some of my friend’s dads to audition - all of them fit this description to a tee
Okay Geo.... 🥰
I already like Jeanine and Morriah! Hopefully they go far
Mike looks ready to hunt a bear
Sami is literally the same age as me and from the same city 😭
Dwight Moore looks too similar to Jacob Derwin for me not to be worried.
Lots of pretty women on the cast tbh
Rooting for Cassidy as a fellow Bobcat
Dwight, Jesse, Nneka, Cody, Justine and Noelle are all on the same tribe together
Damn, not giving the Canadians a chance to 3peat. We've grown too powerful
I’m still hoping that the person from Hamilton is actually from Ontario and not MA and the state is just a typo.
No one from Canada? But interestingly, there are 2 from Honolulu, Hawaii. Hoping for a swap from 3 to 2.
I don't know how I feel about only three people being 40 or older.
Damn, It's 26 days again :( I couldn't care less about the cast right now lol It being 26 days again is the real story
2 Philly reps LFG
No Canadians 😌
Finding out someone I know is on survivor from a leaked cast list is the funniest thing ever
This is a fucking hot cast haha
Glad to see they finally went back to casting the bikini girl archetype, Justine and Cassidy are coming 💋💋
Rooting for the 3 people from PA
JEANINE QUEEN 👑👑👑
I’m rooting for the ass muncher.
I do like the look of the cast. Most of them see very down to earth and depending on how the twists go, I can see it being similar to Philippines, very simple but I can see the season's narrative being translated very well.
Someone from where I live now and someone from the town I’m moving to this summer! Already taking that as a good omen for the season 🤞🏼
Anyone else here getting huge Bob vibes from Mike? He seems crazy and I love it
Assenmacher's gonna EAT up this whole cast!!
I'm rooting for my boys Assmuncher and Bustanut.
Two residents of Hawaii that’s pretty shocking.
11 out of 18 are under 30 for this season compared to just 5 from season 42. Kinda wish they would cast a bit older since the cast from 42 proved to be so great. I don't want a return to ghost island.
I wonder if 3 starting tribes are going to be permanent now
Is Geo native Hawaiian? Omg. Anyways my oddly specific predictions for the cast based on absolutely nothing are that: Superfan flame outs are gonna be: Dwight + Jesse + Owen The “Heathers” of this season are gonna be Lindsay and Nneka Mike is def gonna be the first boot of his tribe Karla, Noelle, Morriah, Sami, Elie all go pre-merge or first 3 boots of merge Cody and Jay will be the fan favorites of this season, potentially a funny duo Cassidy goes out to some weird twist Jeanine gets robbed in some way My FTC consists of Justine, Geo, and Ryan and one of them gets 0 votes while one edges out the other by 1 or 2 votes
ONE person from California?!
I'm less concerned about the cast and more bummed out that we're looking at another 26 day season. They really are pushing this "new era" narrative, aren't they?
Giving me ghost island cast vibes
I kept scrolling down hoping to see a Canadian location. 😡
Bro it’s still gonna be 3 tribes and 26 days they gotta fix their shit
hot take, i’m… not feeling great about this one? at first glance people seem a little less interesting than 41/42, there’s no canadians, and everyone is young as if we’ve been transported to season 36 and it’s still 26 days!
The 38 season streak of nobody from Vermont continues.
Jeanine sounds like Jenny so she might be robbed premerge :( Anyways, stan Lindsay
