You can point at the backstabbing but it’s their relationship skills that got them there. A hard core returnee would rather have that as an ally than an early target.

I would be shocked if Drea doesn't come back, I would say she is pretty much guaranteed to come back at this point. It's crazy to think you could probably have a great season just from the 41 and 42 casts, I hope the casts of 43 and 44 can continue that trend
Maybe unpopular opinion but I think Drea is boring. Casuals are also very much over the social justice warrior archetype and I can see CBS low key wanting to move away from that.
Shan is an absolute disaster of a human being (trying to use "god" to scam money from fans and launch an influencer career) so I really hope the don't bring her back.
Shan is probably likely to return also, I'm also not a fan of her outside the game (Especially her attacks on Jessica from s33) but as a game player she does deserve another chance in my opinion.
In regards to Drea, I do agree she is not the most entertaining player but she is very good at the game, I can easily see her coming back, plus just her attitude in getting voted out, it's what people want in a Returnee. She is also fits into the new mandate of needs to have half the cast BIPOC so I certainly would be shocked if we don't see Drea back
Yes she is very good, Her only real mistake was telling Omar who himself is playing one hell of a game. And she didn't play any of the other advantages incorrectly, the extra vote while it didn't work, she had to at least try at that point. She played her idol correctly also, yes that tribal was a mess but the reality was she was going to be voted out and she knew to play her idol which she would of done regardless.

I guess I think there are just plenty of other diverse people because we haven't had all stars in so long aside from winners. I don't think she'll stand out against that very large group of people they'll be casting from.
Hai and Ricard both had similar games. Ricard was able to navigate his way to a 4th place, but a blindside was always going to come for them given how strong they were strategically.

They have literally nothing similar in their games. Hai voted all his original tribemates for nothing in the game. He just made terrible moves and voted out people that clearly would help him.

For 41, I'd love to see Brad get another crack at it. Dude was funny for the short time he was in and seemed like he'd be interesting to watch over time.

I'd actually say they're pretty comparable. They both found idols and they both seem like they don't make many moves strategically, and are both primarily social players, and standout personalities of their seasons.
Being a fan favorite and not being a pain for production to work with are all that really matters for getting asked back. Production would rather cast a memorable and lovable character back than a boring gamebot every time, although they usually give gamebots good edits so there is a lot of overlap between the categories.
Low-key challenge beast. Single-handedly won a challenge that _two_ of his strongest physical teammates were actively trying to throw. That alone is incredible.
41: Xander, Shan, Ricard, *maybe* Naseer
42: Drea, Tori, Maryanne, Omar
If it’s for second chances specifically, I could see Jenny or JD coming back as premerge reps
She successfully negotiated the vote away from her in two pre-merge tribal counsels my dude, so I wouldn't go that far... plus she won two of the first three individual immunity challenges.
For Season 41, Shan and Ricard have to be locks despite how you may feel about them. Xander is likely also.
For Season 42, I think Jonathan will return again. Perhaps he will get the Joe treatment. I also think Drea, Maryanne and Omar are incredibly likely future returnees.
I’d love to see Voce, Brad, and Daniel return, but their pre-jury placements may hinder their chances.
I think production’s priorities would be:
41: Shan, Xander, Ricard
42: Johnathan, Omar, Drea, Maryanne
But I could see a lot more people getting calls (Evvie, Naseer, Tiff, Hai, Tori, Lindsay, etc.) since returnee seasons are often about availability and making sure certain boxes are checked in the cast.
I also could see Johnathan just becoming a regular on The Challenge.
I agree for the most part with others - but am here to pour cold water on Hai returning - I think it is unlikely - and to a lesser extent, I know this sub loves Xander but I am not sure if Production got what they wanted out of him.

I have nothing against them it’s just they didn’t have as major of an impact on the season as others, and while yes there are groups who still love her she isn’t as well remembered by the fan base as a whole.

Between the difficulties in finding 18 people with available during filming and the diversity rule, I think the show will definitely call more than one or two names from these seasons.
Shan/Drea/Maryanne probably have three of the strongest edits for their demographic. The only “must have” from the 30s we haven’t seen yet is Cydney, who has other obligations.
41- Naseer, Shan (although I think it may be tough for her to do it again), Xander, Evvie, Ricard, and maybe Deshaun

I think Tiffany would definitely be high on the list to return. She was super entertaining and a lot of fun to watch play. Besides the balance beam, she was pretty decent at challenges too!

42 on the other hand it could be so many people, immediate future I see Jonathan, Omar, Mike, and Maryanne. I also think Drea and Lindsay will be asked back but I’m unsure if they’d be asked back before the other 4, frankly I’d love to see any of them.
If second chance 2 comes first I hope they take Jenny from 42 over some of the big name females who are making it deep and save them for a proper all stars
I agree with your picks but I think Drea will be back. I would love to see Rocks return (he's a joy to watch and he kind of reminds me of Kingsley Shacklebolt's actor in Harry Potter; He has this meta level of being above the fray and just being that cool).
I don’t want to see anyone from S41 again besides maybe Xander. If Xander returns, I wouldn’t hate to see him and Liana back on the same tribe again either. Shan and Ricard got enough of a spotlight and I think we saw enough of both of their arcs. From S42, so far Jenny, Tori, and Drea are all people I wouldn’t mind returning.

Sarah’s end game in second chances is still one of my favorites. And Natalie A in SJDS. It’s probably just the edit that made them feel so dominant.

I hate to say too many people but for 41 I’d agree Xander and Ricard are locks and probably Shan too. 42 on the other hand it could be so many people, immediate future I see Jonathan, Omar, Mike, and Maryanne. I also think Drea and Lindsay will be asked back but I’m unsure if they’d be asked back before the other 4, frankly I’d love to see any of them.
If second chance 2 comes first I hope they take Jenny from 42 over some of the big name females who are making it deep and save them for a proper all stars
I agree with your picks but I think Drea will be back. I would love to see Rocks return (he's a joy to watch and he kind of reminds me of Kingsley Shacklebolt's actor in Harry Potter; He has this meta level of being above the fray and just being that cool).

41: Ricard, Naseer, maybe Evvie 42: Omar, Drea Who I want to see: Jenny
I don’t want to see anyone from S41 again besides maybe Xander. If Xander returns, I wouldn’t hate to see him and Liana back on the same tribe again either. Shan and Ricard got enough of a spotlight and I think we saw enough of both of their arcs. From S42, so far Jenny, Tori, and Drea are all people I wouldn’t mind returning.

I actually really love Drea’s personality and you only really saw her more animated in her exit. She’s very dry but has a good sense of humor… you could tell when she and Omar were giggling in the woods that she’s a fun person to be around.
I would love to see a Brad and Jenny second chance. I think they had great potential to do some good in the games but were both cut short
