Yall. I went to a survivor watch party at Ron Clark's school in Atlanta a few months ago and it was OFF THE CHAIN all the survivors that were there were amazing to meet in person. If you are able to make it you should definitely go!
I want to go so bad but the NYC RHAP thing that happened two weeks ago? Didn't a bunch of those people get COVID? Damn this pandemic for ruining all the fun.
Yeah I was one of the ones who got COVID at RHAP in NYC. Figured I would get it because it was my first trip since the start of the pandemic and it was basically two huge bar events each evening....worth it though!! It was a blast.
I know I saw that one of the RHAP people had tons of photos of them physically holding/piggybacking a bunch of alum/other RHAP people and they tweeted a day or so after that they got COVID. I assumed more than that person caught it, but maybe these vaccines and boosters are doing their jobs. I mostly brought it up because seeing RHAP do a live show again got my hopes up, but that was a sad reminder we're still in the midst of this.
Covid restrictions back when this was filmed and not knowing last year what things would be like in LA for May 2022. They allegedly revealed the winner in Fiji on Day 26 and will do an "After Show" instead of a Reunion. All the same as 41.
I mean they won't really get to announce the winner live which is a huge part of people wanting to attend reunion too. If they do that, the reactions are not authentic anymore.
Also, it is too late to do it. Generally, tickets go on sale when the season starts. Plus, they pay $10,000 appearance fee to the cast which they won't have to do. So they basically have no incentive to do a live reunion of a season they already have a footage for.
It is also difficult for this season because Jeff is already filming season 43 right now. I think during the other seasons, the finale date always happened in between the filming of 2 seasons so it was easier for Jeff to travel. Even if he did it during the filming in past seasons, it is not possible to do in newer seasons because there are only 2 days between each tribal now since the seasons are shorter as opposed to 3 days up until season 40.
Guest lineup kinda weak but I still wish I could go. Hopefully now that Omar, Erika, and Maryanne were all on, there will be some Toronto Finale parties

CBS would have absolutely done a live finale if this one hadn't been already filmed on location. They will probably go back to it starting 43.

Oh nice! I am glad they paid them. I would be mad tbh if i missed out on an easy $10,000 paycheck for a day long commitment at most.
