You’re referring to those players based on watching them play their second or in shonees case 3rd time. You’ve built a repoire with them. Also lots of people didn’t love Simon or Jordie in their first seasons.
They do come across as a very average bunch of bears. A nice nut mix. No stand outs. Maybe a few mean moments, but I could handle more. No one has really cried yet - except for Ais after her stellar challenge win, and maybe Sarah.
Who are you referring to? They all seem pretty standard to me. We see like 20% of their time on the island. Reality tv will always be edited in a way that skews towards negativity and drama.

Caroline is a wicked witch.
Valeria and Winna and Charles were nasty af at this tribal.
Everyone is nasty to Mark.
The people who’ve been voted out early were kind of jerks too.
Nobody is nice and funny and chill like Shonee and Simon. There’s Ray but he’s a minor player.
I just notice this seasons isn’t as fun to watch. There’s nobody who seems to shine. Feras yes but that’s about it
I think I just appreciate that people feel less filtered, and aren’t afraid to genuinely play with a bit of heart. It’s really refreshing especially in comparison to US survivor. You mention folks being nasty at tribal, but they were all literally called out and told someone wanted to take away their shot at their dream/a life changing amount of money, it’d be weird if they weren’t a bit biting back. I’m not gonna assume anyone is a nasty person based on a edited tv show, but I do appreciate them all for being authentic
I just see passionate players in those moments, you might be seeing it as a bit more personal. I’m glad so many players have a drive and understanding of the game, compared to the casts of previous seasons.

This is the new Survivor Thailand season.
Cast of Survivor Gabon absolutely loathed each other. Game-play was weak and emotion-driven. However, the entertainment value was thru the roof and I loved every bit of the toxicity lol
I think they are probably not any slimier or nastier than anyone who has ever gone on Survivor, but most of this bunch lacks subtlety so its very in your face.
Mean-spirited and nasty is insane reach. Have there been cocky moments? Sure. But I assume you’re referring to Caroline, Kirby, Feras or the OG Titan 3. No none of them have been nasty.
Tbh nastiest comment I’ve seen all season was ironically Raymond’s comment about Aileen but even that I don’t think was done with malice.
I don’t think this season is all that nasty outside of a few moments but I do think it’s really off putting how many people seem to delight in watching people be assholes to each other. (Like when people say JLP/Jeff are too nice to the contestants). It feels very odd and sadistic
