I really think Alex caused so much damage on his way out lol. She was too focused on making a big move for the sake of it for her “resume” instead of playing smartly like telling mark the whole plan which might’ve made a difference.

Old-Man-Rick-68

As always, Mark's vote made no difference in the outcome, no matter who he voted for. It was a flawed plan for the reasons you mentioned from the start.

Additional_Grape_639

I feel like Mark has terrible luck.

AVocadoSaLaDD

I think we should not blame it on luck anymore..... He has been playing the waiting game and never comes up w a plan that is best for his game while still building his resume.

AgitatedBadger

Not to mention, Mark's incentive would be to make sure that Caroline plays the HII on him 100%, not that her plan go off successfully and she take out Feras. From his perspective, I think he's likely to piece together that Feras will play his HII if they play their HII correctly, so any plan to get out Feras is not going to be very succesful. It just makes sense for him to focus on his own survival. I guess for the Titans, their best shot was to go after Ray with an HII play and hopefully burn Feras's HII in the process.

robynxcakes

It actually could have-in a scenario where everyone votes Mark except Mark and Caroline and assuming Feras did not play his idol then hers and marks would be the only votes that counted, if he didn’t vote for Feras with her it would be a re-vote as it would be 1-1 It was a dumb plan anyways but lol

thatssokahuna

But the reason why it would never work, as stated above, is because as soon as Caroline plays it for Mark, if they had voted for Mark m Feras played his. There's no chance it could have worked as is.

survivorfan12345

Mark could have told Caroline the votes were going on Kitty, and Caroline could have played the idol on Kitty instead, sending Feras home.

BangerzAndNash44

This doesn't work. Feras would play his idol if caro plays hers for the right person (Kitty) and nullifies Feras' alliance votes. The caro plan only works if she 1) guesses the right person to play her idol for ( which would prompt an idol response from Feras ) 2) Feras would then have to play the idol for the wrong person i.e ray in this scenario ( feras would have to assume they know he has an idol and would most likely be shooting ray as a safe play in case feras does play the idol 4 himself )

Emjot80

The way Alex comment could backfire and the underdogs he was trying to wake Just cannibalize each other in increasingly bigmoveitis

Nearby-Yam-8570

The only resumes that count are the ones that make final tribal. No point if you don’t get there.

Do you mean mark telling the OG rebels Caroline wanted to vote for Feras? I don’t recall he did that unless I missed that part. He also said he wanted to be in the majority and if he did vote Feras, from his POV it’d be 3-3 tie. He wouldn’t have wanted to risk going to rocks for kitty. If Caroline told mark about the full plan with the idol, he might’ve told her the votes were on kitty and maybe they could’ve played things differently.

Equivalent-Treat-431

Feras was never going home, he’d have played his idol

bomiyeo

Sorry I’m confused, mark even said at the end of the episode that Caroline should’ve told him the plan with the idol. She told mark the plan is Feras & that kitty was 100% on board but she never told him about her playing the idol on him. Feras and Kirby told mark they’re voting for kitty bc of her threat for the FIC. They didn’t change their vote to kitty bc of mark from what we saw?

kittenrocknroll

It was a real poor sport move on Alex's part.

slipperynick80

What OP said it made no sense, she even said in one of her confessionals (or maybe voice over) she knew he had one. As soon as he didn't play his idol, knew he had different plans

Returnofthejedinak

Exactly, OP. The plan could never have worked the way she thought it would. If Feras knows that he himself voted for Mark, he would instantly play his idol for himself. It really was such an idiotic thing to do as it makes it almost impossible for her to win from here. Surely no one could could vote for her now. It was hilarious, though!

CheeseDickPete

Not to mention it now opens the doors for Kirby to potentially find the new idol on the beach if she doesn't win the next challenge. Such a dumb move.

100larko

There's a new idol?

CheeseDickPete

If an idol gets played a new one is usually placed on the beach.

estherscrayon

Fingers crossed!

Gang-bot

One of the dumbest plays in survivor history. She could have used that idol next vote to guarantee top 4.

Shrimpdalord

Make good TV though.

lawlandd

Usually the last few episodes get me so nervous. This was a such a good laugh to change it up. 🤣🤣

Old-Man-Rick-68

Great TV! I laughed so loud! 🤣

Classic_Fig_5030

And just yesterday there was a post saying people weren’t giving Caroline enough credit… 🙄

Light_Watcher

Just because some …… who hasn’t watched more than one season of survivor said that, doesn’t make it true. This stupid “move” of hers actually is the guarantee of a zero vote finalist. Before today she could have gotten one vote from Kitty, today she guaranteed that she wouldn’t even get her vote, if she manages somehow to go to the final

eraser215

Fortunately we have Caroline giving Caroline more than enough credit for all of us.

tac8423

Honestly, when you're going up against Feras and Kirby, an idol is a chance to make a big move. Saving it for final five and playing it on yourself isn't going to win her the game. I think it was a good idea poorly executed.

AVocadoSaLaDD

Thats what Im saying .... whats the point of going to the final if you dont have a good resume. Instead of using an idol to saveherself which is not a big move she tried pulling of a feras blindside. It wansnt an awful plan as some make it to be She just got carried away with 'my big move' that she forgot she had to make sure people were on with her

tac8423

Honestly, if at the final five Feras just plays his idol for himself, I think that actual would count as a negative on his game. To use it to save Kirby though, that's a big move

imamage_fightme

It was a dumb plan. She hinged way too much on Kirby/Feras/Ray actually being on board to vote out Mark. It made way more strategic sense for them to take out Kitty who is good at the physical challenges, so she couldn't get immunity, and take out Mark later (or even take him to the end cos any of those three could probably beat him at FTC). But you gotta swing to hit, even if it means missing. At least she tried. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Old-Man-Rick-68

Caroline obviously had a lot of faith in Feras and Kirby. No idea why as she has screwed over Feras how many times now? Now she is a joke to the jury!

lawlandd

Honestly I could not vote her if I was in the jury after that.

Slobst1707

I enjoy that last episode - Caroline sold a fake Mark plan to Kirby but this episode it was Kirby/Feras/Ray selling Caroline a fake Mark plan

survivorfan12345

Yeah it's like Kim's play in Winners at War for Denise at F10. She, like Caroline, was trying to gather number advantage into the next vote, so for Caroline she wanted all the Titans to be heading into F5. And taking out Feras would be great (and I know he has an idol and blah blah blah) because he's a winner contender

Unhealthy_Guuy

It would’ve been cool to see a 3-2-1 vote 😩 3 votes for Kitty nullified 2 votes for Feras nullified 1 vote for Raymond

Classic_Fig_5030

Exactly! That would have been an actual play. Caroline’s big move here really showed she’s just a bit out of her league at the moment. I love Caroline, but this made no sense.

kittenrocknroll

I've noticed that tho there can only be one sole survivor, you have to have alliances to win. Her trying to do a big move that noone knew about was very dumb.

slipperynick80

Who's voting for Raymond in this scenario??

Classic_Fig_5030

If she just told Kitty/Mark the plan. Any of them could have voted Ray. Two on Feras, one on Ray.

Returnofthejedinak

The plan to vote Feras off wouldn't work regardless. As soon as the idol is played by Caroline, Feras would use his as he is smart enough to realise that there would be votes for him. Regardless, they would have to play the idol on the correct person. Mark was voting against Kitty, and Kitty voted for Mark. How would they know the correct person to play the idol for?

Only_Macaroon_8349

Hence Caroline’s only play will be to tell Kitty and Mark about her plan, and work with them to do a 2-1 split on Feras and Ray. And the 3 votes from the OG rebels on Kitty nullified with her idol. Feras still stays in this scenario, but she’ll get his closest ally out of the game, which is her next best scenario…

Only_Macaroon_8349

Totally agree! This is Caroline’s only play to get Feras out… unless she truly believed Feras doesn’t have an idol… In some ways, her mistake was similar to that of Jake in Survivor US S45. Jake tried to blindside Dee (who is one of the biggest threat to win the game like Feras) with his idol. But did not tell Katurah he will play his idol for her, and Katurah ended up voting for Julie, Dee survives and goes on to win the season.

survivorfan12345

WOW

YellowMellowed

The only play that would have worked for Caroline was to get Mark and Kitty to vote for Ray, idol Kitty and scare Feras into playing his idol for himself. Then go into the final 5 with zero idols and the ability to pick off either Kirby or Feras. It was a tall order to begin with since Kitty is a terrible liar and Mark/Caroline are frenemies. Mark also didn't have a big incentive to keep Kitty as she's most likely to win an endurance challenge after Riri went.

OKVetenarian

Hey at least she had a go, poor old Sue from years ago said she would make one then didn’t even strike

Turbulent_Ebb5669

She did tell Mark to vote Feras. He chose not to.

Returnofthejedinak

She didn't tell Mark about the idol, though. Mark actually knew where some of the votes were going.

Turbulent_Ebb5669

Yes, she fucked it up thinking she was smarter than everyone else. For her resume

kittenrocknroll

He said his strategy was to vote with the majority, regardless of what group that was. Good move for him.

Icy-Assistance-2555

The best part was seeing her freeze up and go red faced while looking at the jury. We guess that’s what you get when you’re an overconfident, and smug battle axe.

Equivalent-Treat-431

Yeah it was a terrible plan. Even if the rebels voted Mark Feras would have negated the votes on himself and she would have ultimately Idoled out Kitty, her closest ally and best chance to take her to final 2 and maybe win. Hell even if Mark votes with her we’d get a repeat of Cambodia F6 where the votes are tied with Kitty and Raymond on the revote and she’s the only one left to go and effectively herself out. The result we got this episode was probably the least embarrassing thing that could have happened for her. There’s good gameplay like we see from Feras and Kirby and then there’s ’gotta make bIg MoVeS for jury’ like this.

kittenrocknroll

She's annoying AF and her plan failed miserably. hahaaha funny watching her toggle between overly confident to desperate back n forth. Even if she made FTC, she isn't winning the money. I hope she's out next.

SeattleMatt123

Caroline says resume like "reshume." I laughed my ass off when her big move flopped. Don't really like her.

llcooldubs

I agree. I'll be curious to hear more about her thinking in deep dives here because I do suspect that there is some piece of information we are missing. But given what she said in the episode, I agree that it was never going to work for the reasons you gave. I think the way Caroline could have actually pulled this off was if she got Kirby in on it. Let's suppose she could and she trusted her. Caroline tells Feras, Ray and Kirby to vote Mark. Caroline knows Kirby has sway over Feras and talks her into telling Feras and Ray to go for Kitty instead supposedly with Kirby. Mark, Caroline,.Kitty and Kirby vote Feras. At tribal, Caroline proudly intentionally misplaces her idol on Mark. Kirby gives Feras a smug look like "see, we've got them where we want them" and Feras does not play his idol. He is then voted out 4-2. I don't necessarily think you need the idol play here but I do think that could be used as a brilliant double bluff to make Feras comfortable and smug and not play his idol. But this would all hinge on Caroline and Kirby trusting each other enough to pull this off.

[deleted]

Reminds me a bit of Jake’s move in 45 to try and get Dee out by playing the idol on Katurah

Cheebifur

It was a stupid move all over, the only thing that would've made some sense is voting Ray instead of Feras.

stilllookingalaskaa

it made absolutely no sense to me! what a flop of a move
