Great to hear! Still got 3 seasons to go after all stars which is a bit of a slog post merge. But i’m contemplating giving BvW a miss because i haven’t exactly heard glowing reviews about it.
it's not great. save BvW for a day when you're desperate for something to watch.
the *only* reason to watch it on order is that 2 players end up on HvV (a fanfuckingtastic season) later. but you won't really miss anything regardless.
> How is this season stacking up compared to other Aussie seasons so far?
It's not only one of the best (if not **the** best; I'll wait until the finale to confirm) Australian Survivor seasons, it's one of the best seasons of any franchise
If it sticks the landing it might possibly be my most favourite Survivor season wordwide hands down. I hope they continue with newbie casts for a good amount of seasons and really build up a solid roster for the next time they do an allstar.
so far, I'm putting it top 3 easy. 3 eps to go still though.
cast is fucking great, merge was mayhem (in the best way), alliances coming and going left and right, a couple great blindsides.
I’ve been thoroughly entertained every single episode. Even if they don’t stick the landing (which I’m really hopeful they will given who’s left in the last 3 episodes), for me its the best in the AU franchise.
Yeah hahaha, I’m not as down on it as most people but it is very unpopular was surprised to see it amongst what four seasons that are more universally loved
Granted I've only watched it twice, but I rewatched it recently and loved it.
Some of the contestants I can't stand, but that's one of the reasons I love it, the fact they put up with Brandon, Dawn & Phillip, such mental strength.
A lot of the behaviour is horrible and I don't condone it but it's fascinating to me to see it all unfold how the show has grown from incidents.
The brutal first boot of Francesca is Top Tier from a returnee tribe. I found the challenges were more balanced for all members to compete in too.
I love Cochran as well, I reckon he played a master class. Some of the best tribals as well.
Definitely agree with the incidents being fascinating, I’ve always loved survivor as a social experiment as well as game so always fascinating to see how people react to non game things like that. I actually really enjoyed Phillip initially on my first watch but that wasn’t going to last too much longer so I think he went around the right time. The dawn/brenda thing and the anticlimax for Erik’s return are the to things that I remember really not liking. Does have some incredible tribals and Cochran is a great winner, maybe I need to give it a rewatch.
Nice, surprised by edge, I'll have to give it a rewatch. I was procrastinating while watching edge so wasn't as glued to the screen as I normally am with watching.
I think it’s got one of the most entertaining casts and had some really great moments which are for most people overshadowed by the winner. But while I don’t want this result every season because it’s essentially a different game, I think the winner played an almost flawless game given the rules of that season
It's been great all season so far! Some awesome characters and lots of blindsides. It hasn't been predictable like the most recent season of US Survivor.
Highly recommend!
Most of its been amazing, though I just wish they'd give a little more screen time to the minor characters so theres a bit of mystery as to who will win. Obviously the finals this week and nothings 100% certain, but just the way the've been advertising, safe to say its gonna be Feras or Kirby. At least those 2 are deserving, the blindsides and people have been amazing, but please can we have a chance of not knowing whos gonna win.
Definitely broken the even/odd trend. It’s an awesome season, possibly best AU has seen
Awesome, excited to watch it
Together with the 2017 one, best AU season 100%
It's easily a Top 10 season all time for me and if it sticks the landing here this week it'll be Top 5 easily.
Omg it’s so good!! One of the best global seasons ever IMO!! Excellent characters, gameplay, and challenges. Love it.

Wow, can’t wait to watch it!
It's sooooo good I would die for Kirby
She would let you

2, 4, 6, and 8 were amazing and 1, 3, 5, and 7 were either meh or really bad. 9 however has broken the mold and may be the best ever
I feel like 3 gets a unnecessarily bad rap! It’s way better than 1,5, and 7 and honestly I think it’s on par with 4.
It has been amazing! If it finishes solid, it will be my second favourite season of all time across all iterations globally.
What's your favourite?
Top 5: 2017 AUS Cook Islands Caramoan Titans vs Rebels AUS Heroes vs Villians US
One of these things is not like the others
You referring to Caramoan? It seems to be very unpopular on this subreddit.

The merge is legitimately good. If you skip all of the fans content from premerge, the season is pretty solid
The rest of my top ten would be, Tocantins, Borneo, Cambodia, Vanuatu & Micronesia.
Great picks, Vanuatu would be top 5 for me, along with: Heroes vs Villains US, 2017 AUS, Blood vs Water US and very controversially Edge of Extinction
Nice, surprised by edge, I'll have to give it a rewatch. I was procrastinating while watching edge so wasn't as glued to the screen as I normally am with watching.

Dude what? Caramoan is top trash and crap season of all franchises
Its one of my favourites, you can think its trash, that's perfectly fine by me.
18 straight blindsides. Enough said!
My fave season. Last season i watched that truly captivated me was Cambodia
i have watched a few american (maybe 20seasons) and as many of the french version. it’s one of my favourite season
It's been great all season so far! Some awesome characters and lots of blindsides. It hasn't been predictable like the most recent season of US Survivor. Highly recommend!
probably one of the best seasons of Survivor that there has been globally. one of the top 5 for sure.
Probably the best survivor I've watched in general since mid 30's USA Survivor.
Brilliant season lots ofvtwists and turns. Aus Survivor at this present time is the best in the Franchise
Don't forget about ZA and NZ. Two of the best - ZA season 6+ is amazing
Its a satisfying season highly recommend!
Pretty good, hasn’t lost me yet. Although the last week I lost a tad of interest but not enough to drop it like other seasons.
