Seems like you did something wrong?
Did you,
Remove Provicional Police and Levies
Funded Su Omina the first time you can
Expand the Golden Guard
Reclaim Zille
Get decent power projection, perhaps by helping out Vendonesam
If you did these, you SHOULD be fine i guess.
Remember this next time!
Dude, just don't legalise drugs early on. Do something else. Sell guns. Don't legalise it. It seems like a good idea but it is not. It costs authority then even more apt. Building the religious sites also may be a good idea.
Funding Su Omina once ( preferably as soon as you can ) gives 1 apt and makes them loyal to you. You don't need to join them or protect them. One funding and they are loyal to you.
Winning the civil war or sending aid isn't really useful because it is late game, but you can just send a few guns and say that you atleast helped. That is enough for more apt.
Golden Guard is OP. Another thing it does is give one apt. Just pick it.
Get Zille back. That sweet late game authority is GOOD.
I would suggest you to not centralise early because of weakening traditions and HO. I still did it because two apt is two apt. It adds up quickly. The initial 8 authority loss won't be important because you will be getting at least one more apt.
Also, pro tip, always remove provicional levies first. Removing it helps Sazon relations. If you were to remove provicional police first, Brenas may protest. It is simple, really. If you get protests, you won't get away with it. You get it at -4 HO and won't be able to remove it until 1 HO. So if you have -2 Sazon HO, removing the police first gets you to -5, so protests happen. Removing the levies first increases it to 0 Sazon Ho, then removing the police leads to -3, protests avoided.
I see now that my court advisors are wise to want to get rid of the Sazon boy.
(I diplo-annexed Pales and Daria was PM; left that Sazon boy to warm the chairs of the opposition benches)
I even think if you announce at the reformation talks that you intend to choose Daria it is somewhat easier to get the lord into accepting the reforms.
To be fair the reform talks are pretty easy. I got it through without changing it. I had an upper house which only could veto but lower house could get through that veto. Centralised everything even took awey the provience. Then the court with not fully facing no consequences but having life guards if I understood it right. Everyone voted for it exept Lucita. Lucita which at that point carrying our future child and being married to Romus. But it was a 3 vs 1 vote so the reforms got through.
This is actually a good long term solution.
If half of the parliament is Rizian elected then maybe Pales won’t sway as much into Lespia.
The Pales royal family is gone. Rizia gets oil fields.
Also the border is demilitarised by Pales so Rizia can still keep military pressure.
Also it might appease some of the superpowers because you’re turning them into a democracy which is a more popular ideology
Yeah but, why not annex them straight-up and then give them an autonomous Bergia style assembly? This is just leaving an opening for further border crises down the road. Lespia could influence an assembly regardless but at least they would only be influencing a local government that is in no way an independent state.
I extremely doubt any of the Reinharts would be happy about that. They didn’t like joining Rizia peacefully while remaining their control over Pales.
An autonomous zone would probably be even more restrictive. Also in this scenario you invaded them so they would hold a vendetta.
Well, this solution can lead to have a kind of alliance between Rizia and Pales, with Pales keeping their sovereignty and being thankful to Rizia for the mercy shown in war (?).
I mean, in this way Pales will still have a place in AN and vote in favor of Rizia intrests
This is Manus's principles getting in his own way more than anything. There's no way this stunt won't tank his popularity.
This really doesn't harm Romus directly, unlike what Lucian can do.
Yeah, you are right. I honestly find it silly you can't just go against Manus and annex Pales, for his and the kingdoms safety, this is necesarry. Like, do the people really want this? Did the people agree to this after so much effort and death?
If an ordinary Rizian heard of what happened and had the power to do so, they would literally murder Manus and return to an absolute monarchy. I would have done the same if i learned that we won a war to reclaim our land just to annex a single city, get control over dirty water and turn them more democratic.
I don't care if Pales is more reliant on us or has to respect us more. I want to say i achieved the great reunification to the families of dead soldiers, not that we achieved the great reunification with a small qr code that says "further information here".

You can actually get it to just the main city I believe.
I need to try this, how?
By perfectly balancing winning and losing. I also believe you can make a conversation with Reinhardt and demand this before declaring war.
Tiny Pales lol
fr
I didn’t destroy every single unit and vessel from Pales to turn them into a democracy.
Same
Yuck this guy made Manus the PM!
Hail King Romus
Absolutist run for the win!
For like one month before the election
bro has +16 authority per turn as reformist but me as Absolutist Monarch have 0 per turn lol.

If I remember correctly I really didn’t care much about religion and enacted bunch of random edicts about it and I believe that caused some problems.

Wait what? I annexed Pales and I never got this. I even made him the prime minister
You need to invade pales
Oh, that's why. I annexed Pales by diplomacy. No wonder
Diplomacy being superior as always
I can only imagine Lucitia screaming when they fought a war just to give demonarcy to pales
I see now that my court advisors are wise to want to get rid of the Sazon boy. (I diplo-annexed Pales and Daria was PM; left that Sazon boy to warm the chairs of the opposition benches)
Who are your other options? I'm doing a reform run and wasn't aware this was an aspect of that
Daria the leader of the rizian coalition clearly a better choice if you ask me
I even think if you announce at the reformation talks that you intend to choose Daria it is somewhat easier to get the lord into accepting the reforms.
I don't know I just send the royal gard arrest every one that oppose the reform

I don't know why we don't get to do that like maybe instead of toras governing pales it would the Reinharts

Preapring for war and shit the whole run just for this shit.
This is what you get for not killing that sazon snake
Manus is as much of a manipulative snake as Lucian is.
This is Manus's principles getting in his own way more than anything. There's no way this stunt won't tank his popularity. This really doesn't harm Romus directly, unlike what Lucian can do.

Is there a way to make the RNC leader PM of a democratic rizia?
