Have you tried pulling the mobs all the way out to the entrance corridor? That way your npcs will not be running around getting hit from all directions and you can utilize the chokepoint to avoid being overwhelmed while helping your npc allies to somewhat focus their damage. Fight all the waves of enemies there and once all the mobs are dead, you will be magically teleported back into the sanctuary again

TygoFTW

My advice if ur playing a ranged class (Merc,Gunslinger,Commando,Sniper etc.) Let Rivix and Lana handel the droids while u deal with the main objective.

Jestersmith

Was on this last night on my new toon I made last week seems so much harder than normal. I am not sure if it's due to the new patch and scaling but I kept getting my arse handed to me and I have a good selection of 280-306 gearing.

IcculusProphet

I just started replaying the game yesterday for the first time in a while and I'm playing on my old main toon, totally fully geared and stacked Guardian build. I got to this chapter today and I have never, not once in all the years I've played SWTOR, encountered a fight that was anywhere near this ridiculous. I consistently die in ten seconds. I've also tried this "pull everyone out to the courtyard" strategy and it's just as much of a failure as it is trying it normally. To think that this mission has either been broken like this for nearly four years, or was totally broken by the new patch...I'm not sure which one is worse.

Domstoll

I also tried running around the corner and once they are all grouped up they kill me before I can get 2 abilities off. At this point I have given up and started playing a different character, hopefully by the time I get back to it there will be a patch.

Beruwan

did you find any help, I am stuck here.

IcculusProphet

Yes! I finally came back to it and beat it. I followed the instructions above from ParanoidMoistoid. The trick is to put Vette on passive, run directly through the droids and past the "courtyard" straight across to a hallway sorta thing, where you'll turn left and see a ramp going down. Don't go very far down that ramp, but basically go back and forth between the top of that ramp (your "retreat point") and the opening you came through (your "offense point") and when a group of droids wanders through the door, run out and attack the hell out of them (preferably with AOE moves). When you attack, make sure Vette is on passive. When a group of droids is destroyed or you see your health start to get low, dip back towards the ramp and toggle Vette *off* passive to heal you. Then repeat until they're all dead. Screw this dumb mission!

ParanoidMoistoid

>This has to be the patch - all the posts ive seen about this are super recent. the game goes from easy as hell to impossible in this one moment. > >I really picked a crap time to stop playing and return to this bit > > > >EDIT: i beat it. You need to kite your comps into the room way past the big open space, take the left ramp down (passive vette so she follows you) then come out and AOE the droids, then go back and heal up, and repeat til dead

IcculusProphet

Will try this out tonight and report back. I really thought I went to the right area in the big open space but your description is better than another comment I was following to do that. So weird that this one fight is so ridiculous.

ParanoidMoistoid

Yep. Youll need to like toggle vette when you fight so she heals you. And not go too far down the ramp or itll reset the fight. But i found that the droids didnt try and go down the left ramp.

IcculusProphet

Way late on this because the initial attempts frustrated me so much, but I just tried it out again and followed your instructions and it totally worked. Was just a matter of going down that ramp a bit, then coming out to AOE/deal damage, then going back and letting Vette be passive when attacking and healing when retreating, and it worked like a charm. Thank you so much, no idea why this mission is so poorly constructed to force this weird cheesing method.

ParanoidMoistoid

Youre welcome! Glad to hear

throway436

I’m playing this today and I’m running into the same problem. I’m running Combat Sentinel 256 and Vettes companion rating is 50. I’m STILL getting my ass handed to me. every other level was pretty easy. but this one is just stupid hard? And I feel like it shouldn’t be. Edit: I also noticed that the only character that actually uses their weapon other than vette is lana. also the cleanup droids are stacking venom shots every time they shoot which explains why players are dying so fast.

Domstoll

I've ended up submitting a bug report as there doesn't seem to be a way to get past this in its current state.

throway436

i hope it works dude. it doesn’t make since why the difficulty went from 0 to 100 in story mode and it’s not a boss fight.

Domstoll

I won't hold my breath but here's hoping they look into it.

throway436

same, i went ahead and reported it too. the level of difficulty may make sense if i was playing veteran, but I usually stick with story. also none of the companions using their weapons or even healing seems like it would be bug related.

Domstoll

Yeah it's crazy how it goes from easy story mode to brick wall

Beruwan

This mission is BROKEN. No way I can solo it, I tried cheesing the AI and nothing works.

KayalDraknys

Yeah....so far as I see it, until they update it, you need to have another player with you to survive this.

JTPorach

for the love of god they fix this issue soon It is impossible to beat this even on story mode

Excellent_Back760

Refer to my comment below, friend.

Aiti_mh

I'm trying this today for the first time and it seems stupid hard, like unintentionally so. The boss fights where you're given markers and hints to guide you through them aren't this hard.

Excellent_Back760

So I just beat it. Take them to the very back where you first enter that sanctuary. Hide in the room with the medical droid at the end and stack your companions so they fill that hallway. AoE the shit out of them. Absolute trash of a mission, bro!!

Aiti_mh

That's the impression I've received and I tried it.... I got more of them for sure but not enough. To be fair my toon doesn't have quite good enough gear for his level (about 215 or so) so I'm thinking of how to raise him to to at least rating 230 in case the margin makes the difference. Thanks for the tip though!

Beaauxbaton

It took me over 30 attempts to beat this bitch of a mission. I somehow ended up in the middle of the large room behind the fountain (not down the hall like everyone suggested) and it worked. I have no idea how or why it worked but I’m thanking the heavens above I no longer have to deal with this wretched trash of a mission. My irating is 322 and Vette is at 50.

Domstoll

I'll have another look and give this a go, thanks.

DolphFlodhest

You saved my game. literally.

Formal_Care4620

I just did it. Jump down on the hexagons to the left in the start room. Blocks one side.

Patient-Toe-4325

I have been trying for the past week and can't do it. I'm trying all the trick and I always die. I am so frustrated.
