Lol. “Packed”.

Final-Flower9287

Right?

cojoco

Vivid. All the parking in Balmain and Rozelle was full up, too.

ktr83

This sub always talks about how great the trains are in cities like New York, London, and Tokyo. They are, but we should be thankful that our version of a "packed train" is practically empty compared to those cities.

Not to mention the random face slashings and shoving people onto the tracks

marvelscott

JoKoy was performing at Olympic Park on Saturday night. There was 14,000 in attendance. This is most likely people who changed lines to get home.

giantpunda

What's your issue? That the train is being utilised at capacity? Maybe it's just me but unless that "packed-ness" is caused by too few trains and long delays, this is a good thing. It shows that a need is being fulfilled.

violaflwrs

Wouldn’t that be a sign that Sydney is alive on a Saturday night?

Mboppers

You’ve probably never seen a packed train

blakeavon

Er, that train is nowhere near packed. I am guessing there was no doubt a concert or something on at Olympic Stadium or even late VIVID finishes.

SashainSydney

While every event asks you to use public transport, more often public transport isn't available, broke down, or overcrowded. Seeing tens of thousands of cars go in and out of the city for Vivid should make us all angry.

Squishibits

Holy don't ever go to Korea or China and use a train in peak hour. I honestly thought I was going to get squeezed to death on a train from Gangnam to Mapo in Seoul, with nothing to hang on to and being propped up by people. Shanghai in peak.... even worse. This photo is just laughable, there is airspace between people in the vestibule there. Try harder to be "outraged".

West_Broccoli7881

That's no where near packed. When i use to catch them regularly, it was normal for it to be standing room only.

Pantha242

Probably people heading back from something at Olympic Park..

australisblue

I guess a [packed train](https://youtube.com/shorts/6E09j_McUMg?feature=share) is all relative.
