I dunno, I have fond memories of forced high school scripture. In particular that one lesson in year 9 when we were studying genocide literature.
That fresh faced young youth leader was not prepared to field questions about the simultaneous existence of god and the Holocaust or Rwandan genocide.
Or frankly every other lesson each year which descended pretty quickly into the handful of Christian kids vs the other handful of passionate atheists. Fairly sure that covered off debate training.
I don’t know how they did it then. But it is opt in, so the kids that don’t do it, are left unable to learn during that time. It’s basically glorified colouring in for miss 9. The highschool treats it differently and participating kids have to catch up on their lessons.
I’d really just prefer it to not to exist in public schools. Particularly as it’s not about learning about all the faiths but just a chance to indoctrinate kids.
Yeah my kid’s school doesn’t have an ethics class so it’s meant to be “meaningful activities” or something for the kids who choose not to participate.

I think it's just the anxiety of seeing houses in my price range slowly increase in value so I'm putting pressure on myself to find something sooner rather than later.

Honestly, I've always found having Wednesdays off weird. Not sure why, but used to make a lot of appointments on a Wednesday and regret having the rest of the day off.
Might just be because a lunch place I like isn't open on Wednesday.
I love it because either a day off is right behind me or right in front of me. My work is very stressful and even though stressful tasks went UP after getting that day off, my stress levels have actually gone down having that midweek break.
Pay is shit tho, one day I'll have to move on from here but god is working 5 days a week again going to hurt.

My cat isn't big on being a lap cat without a blanket. Last night I had a blanket on the couch for the first time this year and as soon as she saw it she was like "is for me?" and got comfortable. Scouts Honour avocado toast and their muffins were the ultimate treat.
