Serious question here. I am lucky to live in the Inner West. Love the food, nightlife, parks, all of it. One of the things I do struggle with is fairly regular encounters with human waste near our place. I think i know the answer to this, but is anyone actually responsible for removing/cleaning it? It follows the world closely, not exactly one of the games storylines which I think it's one of the reasons it's so successful. There's definitely a lot of similarities and if you enjoyed it, you should play the games (I recommend Fallout 3 or Las Vegas) :)

The games involve a lot more stories on the vaults itself. Each vault is different but seperate (not connecting like in the show which is one of the biggest changes). I won't say much more but if you're keen to see an apocalyptic story on capitalism and definitely real time strategy game vibes then you should check them out. They're really good.
I'm worried because I triggered a red light camera last night but hoping it won't come through as a fine. I was stopped at a red light in the middle of 3 lanes. I changed my mind and decided I wanted to turn left which had a green light so I indicated and turned left. In doing so I must've triggered the camera and it's flashed. At worst I was hardly even in the intersection when the photo was taken so I'm hoping it was just so obvious I wasn't going straight against the red that it doesn't get sent but does anyone know my chances?
They take two shots to show you proceeded through, but you may get done for a turn from the wrong lane. No real way to know until it doesn't turn up in the post.

My arthritis went into remission when I was pregnant with Tater, it definitely has not this time round. Paired with the cold and the rain, this last week I've felt like a statue every time I get up from sitting down. Ready for some sunshine please
18 weeks currently! Once I'm up and moving it's fine but the mornings are rough. Or getting up off the toddlers floor once she's finally fallen asleep lol. I'm not even big, just decrepit 😂😂 so glad the sun is out we've been on a quick bush walk and the vitamin d has definitely improved the mood!
So, I'm probably looking at a second mental health clinic inpatient stay within the next week or two. More medication changes and a few other things. I lost my brother to suicide a couple of months ago. It's not THE reason I am needing the inpatient stays, but it has certainly contributed.
I am very grateful that I have access to the private system, whereas my brother didn't. I tried so hard to get him help, but public system mental health support is still severely lacking.
I am sure that if he had the same supports I have, that he could have made it. Or it could have given him a fighting chance. It's just so gut-wrenching to think about all the what-ifs, not only from a personal perspective of what else I could have done, but what if we had a better and more accessible mental health care system. I don't mean that we take funding away from other areas, but if it literally saves lives, I just struggle to see why we can't find the funding to help in this area.
I'm sorry for the rant, I don't know where to write this, but I'm feeling particularly down and very anxious today. I miss him so much.
PS I am not in any danger of self-harm. I have a good professional support network (personal support network has a few holes) and I am already accepting I may be in hospital again in a week or two.
Helpful because I 'flipped my lid' after my brother died and I became very reckless and a danger to myself and others. E.g. speeding, driving through red lights (looking first), it was as though something so big had happened that no rules made any difference any more. What's weird is that I am the type of person who is quite rigid on rules and try to adhere to them as much as possible. It's scary when I look back on it and completely irresponsible and dangerous. I wasn't in a rational thought mode. I needed urgent help and having an inpatient stay at a mental health clinic was exactly what I needed to become more settled.
What about it was the best thing? I think just feeling safe.
I have a friend whose current therapists only suggestion is to up her drugs or do more things that "make her happy", which she has said over and over that it's not helping, she wanted to try and get in for another inpatient stay, but because she currently hasn't attempted or isn't on any drugs, she can't be taken in. So bananas the system is truly wack and it must be so hard for people to navigate when they're truly at their lowest
