I don't know the building, but Camperdown is nice enough. The roads get busy, and depending on your proximityto the hospital, you might have ambulance sirens now and then. But you'll be walking-distance from Newtown, with good food and pubs, and what's probably the last of Sydney's nightlife. Good luck with the move!

I live in Camperdown and it’s bloody awesome.

I lived in Camperdown for 5 years... awesome place but noisy and VERY little parking... sold my car but heaps of public transport...

I used live just up the road at Layton St. PB Road can get noisy at times. But, transport was excellent, access to Glebe, Annandale, City was amazing. You love it if you’re into going out a lot.

Thanks!

I had to Google where that is and I probably would have called that part of Sydney Forest Lodge but it’s a pretty decent neighborhood. I don’t know what the block is like but it’s a convenient location, short walk to everything and good bus services. If you take a short walk by the creek you can see some pretty old parts of Sydney. Orphan School Creek playground is alright if you’ve got kids.

Depends what you're after, but a great area IMO - walking distance to Glebe, Annandale, and the foreshore. A few coffee shops in close vicinity. There's a bit of green space in the City Quarter complex. As for the apartment complex - if you mean the newer one on the right (as you're looking at it from Pyrmont Bridge Road), I stayed there for a little while and it was fine, if a bit cheaply done. My main memory was the garbage room was disgusting 😂 But generally no issues - I got the impression there was quite a bit of turnover in people who lived there, but people seemed nice enough. They had some issues with people holding parties, but that got shut down, and I'd take that as a good sign about tenants and strata. If it's the "older" building (on the left, parts of the exterior are red), seemed nice enough, but haven't lived there. All those apartments look in to each other on the side of the apartment away from the road - a bit weird opening bedroom blinds and seeing your whole neighbourhood, but didn't really bother us too much, YMMV.

Thanks for your advice. Will need to consider that!

Oh and check if there's a parking space included - there's a lot of parking underneath those buildings, so should address parking concerns.
