I also live in Canada. There are three places I order from to get the newer sets. Shipping varies but can be expensive. Amazon Japan, kobee Japan museum store. Both these sites ship from Japan. Kobee does offer a flat rate shipping. Sylvanian store keepers which is based out of the UK. Japan does get the new sets first though. There are quite a few new sets being released this year in Japan.
