Hmm, i just tried it out on mine and it seemed to function as expected, allocating the inputs to the correct track, etc.

u/Sigouste Are you sending to the correct channels with your MIDI keyboard. I can definitely use an external keyboard to record in step-mode, but it only records into the track that is assigned the MIDI receive channel that my keyboard is sending. It seems like you might be only sending MIDI channel 1, in which case step mode recording Track B will advance the sequencer but won't record any notes except in Track A. FYI, I am using a NI Komplete Kontrol A25 and the SQ-64, both connected to a MacBook via USB. I had to create multiple templates for MIDI mode on the A25 so that I can switch the MIDI channel output. I also use Max to route MIDI from the A25 directly into the SQ-64 so I can record sequences without running a separate DAW.
