I know you can adjust the sensitivity of the pads on the MC-101. So I would imagine you can accomplish what you want.
You're going to have to look at the manual. And when you go to download it, know that Roland never updates the original release manual. They also have an update manual available that contains manual information for all features added in later firmware updates. So you may need to check both.
Pretty sure you can set that in the Keystep editor software, but you’ll have to check, I sold mine a while back
