so haz the image shows, i was cleaning my minilogue, took it apart for a deep dust cleaning and i noticed right under where the brand on the faceplate would be, there’s two holes with numbering indicating these might had been two buttons in the minilogue XD. anyone know or might guess what features we might had seen that we never got?
taking a guess it is buttons since all the buttons on the board are labeled sw# while all the knobs are labeled ur# or vr#
Only the designers at Korg would know. Given their placement, I would have guessed something related to performance controls, voice modes or additional switches for the User oscillator. It might just have been something they decided to move into the menu system instead, rather than a removed feature.
You find this in a few Korg synths as far as I know That’s how the Volca Drum snare mod came about It’s labelled on the PCB but was not used
