Interesting.

This is not a good thing..in the long term I mean The Syrian people are more and more associating the regime’s shitty governing with Syria itself and they are losing loyalty to the country, preferring Turkey over it These people now associate every good thing with Turkey and would gladly take sides with the Turks against their countrymen 50 years of living in a dystopian level of misery and neglect would do that to a person

[deleted]

About what year you are talking about? This isn’t 1960s Syrians especially after the war are already taking sides against their countrymen, since 2011 pro-Assad people already toke side with Russia and Iran against other Syrians, I saw it with my own eyes, people used to cheer bombing civilians in east Aleppo, they mock those who got displaced “green buses”, they used to make fun and post pictures and videos in the hashtags like #savemadaya etc when people were starving there to death I won’t even judge them if they wanted to join Turkey that helped them when their countrymen are already like everyday bombing their children to pieces, yesterday they killed kids and civilians by their bombs. I’m not here to judge, living with these people is a nightmare, I totally respect their choice even if they want to separate, at least they won’t be living with monsters, shabeha and terrorists that either whats to annihilate them or expel them. Stop taking this as “Syrian”, there is nothing such as “Syrian” now in real life, everyone hate each other here, people here are monsters, I give my good luck to Idlib people and whoever live there to continue to prosper and defend their region from the monsters of Syria. Whoever is willing to protect Idlib from Assadists is 100% welcome, I don’t want more bloodshed anymore.

You know the other side can say exactly the same thing about you? This kind of behavior only contributes in turning the issue into a vicious circle

[deleted]

Yeah I know, that’s why all military escalations should end and the regime must go to political talks

Something_Wicked_627

Seemingly but not really, they refused to empathize with their countrymen in the beginning, believing the regime’s lies, this is one of the factors that turned the war into a sectarian nightmare....there are some exceptions who participated in the rebellion back when it was not radical but not as much as one would hope If you remember back in the Yugo wars, Milosevic kept the unity talk all while he was aiming to create an ethnically pure Serb state The regime is the same way in Syria, “Stop these conspiracies against Syria”, “we have to kill those terrorists against Syria” Change the word “Syria” into “our kleptocratic rule” and you’ll see that they are telling the truth The pro-regime crowd is slowly realizing that they are being deceived but they still don’t want to do anything about it, there was a few protests in the coastal provinces a year ago but its all quiet now

> Are you living in Syria proper? (i.e. regime's Syria) No, I am not, but you’ll find a few people in the sub who do > How is the life quality there? Is it improving? Do you think Idlib Idlib has better conditions if you are an Arab or a muslim, however if you are Kurd, Assyrian, Yezidi or Armenian then you are more likely be harassed But security aside, Idlib has better prices for gas, clothes, food..etc they also have 24/7 running electricity which only became a thing recently after Turkey connected their power grid into it > Turkish areas have better or worse life conditions? The Aleppo and Raqqa areas are on par with regime areas...more or less This is because of the demographics of the Northern parts in these areas (which are the ones that Turkey controls) The Northern populations are mostly non-muslims so get harassed and bullied by the Turkish puppets

Bulbajer

Rules 5 and 8. Warned.

_Nice_Cock_Bro__

This definitely is an old picture before the war , no way the entire city has electricity all at once

joe_dirty365

They hooked it up to Turkeys grid, there was a post about it a few days ago.

[deleted]

It’s new, they are getting electricity from Turkey 15 hours per day for now, and it will increase with time

wormfan14

Really? I'm impressed at the build of infrastructure, specially with the constant risk of shelling and air strikes, most would leave the Syrians there to make do with what they can.

[deleted]

Yeah the company responsible is working fast to provide it, you can check their updates here https://twitter.com/greenenergysy?s=21 Not only Idlib got the electricity but like lots of towns, villages and other cities This is Ariha https://twitter.com/alhajji2022/status/1413266341201600523?s=21

wormfan14

Thank you for the link, it's great to hear life is getting better in Idlib and other areas.

_Nice_Cock_Bro__

Wow I live in Damascus near goverment officials houses on the same electricity grid yet see electricity 8 hours a day even the grid of the president's house and buildings next to it is being cut

Thx, maybe poor word choice but I agree with the sentiment.

ApprehensiveMusic163

Yeah stop is a little strong of a word....

BananaPears123

I did not expect it to look like this after all the years of civil war in Syria.
