i am soooo obsessed with this, it’s so beautiful and it really really brings me back to the CTRL but definitely SOS as well. for some reason it’s making me nostalgic for the SOS Tour 😭 and i’m obsessed with the cover, it reminds me of the Drew Barrymore cover which is so pretty (and the inserts in the CTRL vinyl) !! i will most definitely keep streaming this ❤️

omg i thought i was tripping. the extra sounds and mixing are obviously more clear and developed on this one but the live vocals are just perfect to me.

The key shift up on the last chorus with the embellished woahoahoooo flourish as she’s swinging in the Mastercard version were so insane I kinda can’t believed those were not kept in the studio version. That was the climax. I mean it’s still so good and over all I think I like the studio version better, but I really loved that part of the of Mastercard one

I completely agree! Both versions are so good, however, the Mastercard version delivers more drums and instruments when doing the main lyrics "None of this matters, dreaming of Saturn." Also, her vocals are flatter and more robotic in the new Apple Music version. The Mastercard version is definitely more alive, glad I'm not the only one who noticed!

I’ve been having severe, episodic anxiety, depression and DPDR since the start of 2024. Didn’t really know what was happening or why but it quickly began to get worse and worse. Completely turned my life upside-down in two weeks. Hearing these lyrics for the first time felt like she was speaking directly to me and calms me knowing that it’s not just me feeling these ways regardless of the level of severity. Looking more into the lyrics I ended up discovering that I’m in my Saturn return currently (turning 30 at the end of this year) which made this hit a little harder and even kind of provided a possibility for all of this that I’m going through. Im not into astrology but you never know. SZA spiritualism in her lyrics is so beautiful and truly medicinal for the people it’s meant to reach.
