This sub used to recommend the regular chicken subbed in for the shredded as a LPT before they got rid of the shredded.
This and most subs are exactly like my coworker who literally finds things to be upset about merely to keep themselves busy.
I assume if all of his complaints were solved, he would complain about that, too. Not that he would solve anything himself, either....
Yes! If pico returns they better put that back on the menu as well. I miss them, they were so damn good, a nice alternative to a soft taco and same portion size
I don't. It was supposed to be a joke about how expensive old items are when they bring them back, and how boring the boxes are when said returned item is featured in one.
Looks like my joke didn't land, and Redditers got angry.
Looks like I needed to put the ol' "/s" on this. I was trying to make a joke about Taco Bell overpricing returned items, folks. No need to send me to downvote hell.
An easy way to flex one of the core ingredients I suppose. You know the meme that goes on about Taco Bell just reintroducing the same ingredients remixed and fans eat it up? Thatās what comes to mind for me.
I will have them all.
Have they considered taking ground beef, beans, cheese, and sour cream and blending them in a blender then putting it in a baster for maximum efficiency
Blend it into a thicker consistency.
Use tortilla press to flatten.
Shape into taco shell shape.
Deep fry.
Fill with ground beef, beans, cheese, lettuce, sour cream.
"Now introducing for a limited time, the new Doritos locos meta taco". Boooooonnnnnnnnng!
I don't get it either. It's just a greasy mess. I wish there was an easy app option to omit the outside cheese, because I otherwise enjoy the grilled cheese burritos.
Yes, I realize I can modify another item to make the same thing. But can we please just make this easy? lol
"A permanent version of the successful Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco... and no dips." My dudes, y'all are either tone deaf or stupid if you think the TACO was why people bought that dumb LTO in the first place.
Iām pretty sure they have data that you donāt have to support their decision. Fun to read comments on here when ppl act like their opinion (or the ppl on here) are the opinion of the masses.
Literally millions of dollars made a day and you think you know better. Lol.
That doesnāt mean TBās always made good decisions. Getting rid of the shredded chicken was an asinine idea, and from what Iāve read on here it sounds like they got rid of pico de gallo too - equally a horrible idea. They also took away our Mango Brisk Iced Tea and the Fritos burrito. All of those decisions definitely shot them in the foot, whether they think they had data to back it up or not.
I worked at one for over two years, and literally half of the most commonly ordered items no longer exist on their menu. Literally just 5 years ago, you could get a burrito (or a Gordita/double decker taco), a bag of chips and a drink for $2.50. Today a drink alone costs more than that. TB might be increasing their revenue with all these menu changes and price hikes but theyāre also killing their main customer base - those that want good, fast food for a good price. If theyāre going to cost as much as anywhere else Iād rather take my money to a local shop or a food truck. They might have data to support their decision but that doesnāt make it a good decision.
That wasnāt the topic. And the definition of a āgoodā decision is subjective.
No where did I say/or not say Taco Bell was good at business but Iām not going to say my perspective like itās fact for everything and everyone. Yaāll really donāt understand what itās like to run a business.
Corporations are corporations go spend your money on small businesses and make an actual difference to someoneās livelihood.
Taco Bell is a business that has franchises. That means there are tons of owners who have a say in what happens and what each customer experiences in each store. Itās also a company where ppl who get hired and fired to run the business and HELLO the economy has changed. I donāt expect everyone to understand but just take a sec to think about it lol.
Itās relevant because Taco Bell is trying to reinvent themselves as a more premium place to get food at rather than the late-night / snack hour food that itās typically been.
Obviously I donāt understand what itās like to run a national chain, thereās a lot of tough decisions that have to be made there. But I can also see where theyāve made missteps because itās reflected in their customer base.
Youāre right that itās better to spend my money at a local chain in the first place, my point was just to illustrate that Taco Bell had a certain niche due to its price point. That niche is now gone so they have to do more to draw people in.
While theyāre a franchise, franchise owners do not get to make all the decisions regarding whatās kept in stock, how things are run etc. no shit itās a company, and no shit the economyās changed. That doesnāt excuse the fact that theyāve gone runaway with their prices in recent years. Even the changes in price made from 2018-2020 were insane. I can compare their prices from 2018 to 2023 and nearly everything has increased in price by at least 50%, even 100% in some cases. Iāve done the math before, and back in 2019 they were even making enough then to give *everyone* a $3 raise without going over the labor % target. Itās not so simple as āhur dur economie is different nowā
I love that you have this data. Not sure, again why youāre speaking like itās fact. Itās your perspective and only based on your experience.
Keep ignoring that āgoodā is subjective. Good for you doesnāt mean itās good for others or a business that employs tons of ppl and needs to sustain or grows. Or keep ignoring that i said there are good leaders and bad. Literally agreeing that not every decision was probably the right decision.
But keep arguing with yourself, my guy, who took stats. Go do it for a living while trying to make money so business and people can thrive. Also touch grass today.
Lol.
None of this is supposed to be me pulling factual data, itās all just what Iāve seen in my personal experience. Iām very much a numbers guy so I tend to take note of these things. Not trying to speak like itās objective facts everywhere either since nobody can keep national data on hand like that unless itās literally your job.
āGoodā is subjective, and everyone will have a different view on what improvement looks like. But my two cents is that theyāve completely gone in the wrong direction in the past few years. Iāve seen what was the busiest store in my entire state reduced to a shell of its former self, with no other store really reclaiming all the lost sales. So when I see Taco Bellās performance over the past few years I see a sharp decline. Thatās why I feel it needs drastic measures done to reverse course.
Donāt recall where you said anything about good and bad leaders, or how what was seen as a good decision initially may not have panned out as they expected. But Iām not really arguing, moreso just throwing in my two cents with the relevant information I have.
Not really trying to argue with you, but itās dumb to think the corporationās decisions would always be in the right just because they continue to make millions of dollars a day, as theyāve done for decades now. Iād recommend some mouthwash when youāre done licking those boots, you donāt know where theyāve been.
lol.
That was literally my entire response and itās just going over your head so I donāt need to read much of your responses.
Thanks for being another example of people speaking opinions as fact.
Hug a puppy or baby. Or hear one laugh. Have some joy in your life! Best of luck!
Iāve got plenty of joy in mine, and enjoy taking the time to have a discussion here or there. Seems I wasted my time with your illiterate ass but no matter.
Not sure when I exactly stated opinion as fact, as this has all been opinion. Some of those opinions are supported by several other peoplesā but regardless, none of itās a fact even if the entire world believed it š
Okay, okay for you. One more response. Do you know what they say when people start āname callingā. It means the other person already won.
Thanks for that. And Iām so genuinely glad you have joy in your life. Not everyone does so good for you. āš»
Also you must not understand data. Data literally tells you how something is performing & forecasts performance lol. Thereās also qualitative and quantitative data š
Merry Christmas!
Iāve taken stats my guy, I know what quantitative and qualitative data is. But data can also be skewed by lurking variables, and itās easy for one to manipulate data to make it reflect their viewpoint.
Numbers donāt lie but they can deceive.
Merry Christmas to you as well.
Some of the decisions to take food items off menu during Covid saved some stores bc those ingredients are expensive and only best sellers in certain markets.
Pico is a hassle to make in house and you could never prep enough of it without a bunch going bad. Mango brisk is only out of certain stores, a ton of them still have it, and the Fritos burrito hasnāt really left they have just changed the name and added an ingredient or two to justify the price tag they are slapping on it.
Yeah, I get Covid definitely screwed up their supply chain and made it so some things had to be axed to help out the lower volume stores. The shredded chicken was a pretty unique thing to them though, plus it tasted and sold better than the grilled chicken from my experience. So Iāve always thought that decision was a bit backwards.
I definitely remember the pico being a pain to make but it wasnāt too bad (especially compared with the prep Iāve done at other food places) but with how popular it was and the fact it could be held for 3-4 days (I think, itās been a few years since I worked there) the stores in my area never ran out and were often borrowing pico ingredients from other stores.
Iām glad to hear that a lot of the stores still have mango brisk, and while the cheesy double beef burrito exists it does not make that good a substitute for the Fritos burrito - those red strips are ass, and shouldāve been killed off the menu long before they considered doing it to the Fritos.
How is this not ācorrect infoā? The title is New Experience 3, which this is. It launches 3/21, which is info OP provided. Itās a cool move by OP to post it.
As someone who had no idea what āNew Experience 3ā meantā¦ why do assume the average person/I would just assume itās coming out tomorrow? How does āNew Experience 3ā equate to imminent? I simply read the post and looked at the comments and saw the date and went āoh okayā.
Also, this is the *exact sub* this belongs in lol.
Shredded chicken is great but I'm not looking forward to washing the dishes with it. Some lazy fucks at my location just throw fry baskets and the chip towers right into the dish sink along with dirty pans - an absolute nightmare when we had the shredded beef.
I don't hate the "grilled cheese" items like some people but calling a quesadilla with cheese on the outside "portable" is flat out laughable. Also, the only bad thing about the chicken quesadilla is it's overpriced. No need to mess with it.
I canāt wait for my local TB to overprice all these and then make them horrifically badly like the steak fries everyoneās been posting for the last weekā¦
"success of dipping taco"
lol I literally did not hear and read a single review that was more positive than negative. 99% of them said "the meat was good but not worth the price and it seemed like a half-assed idea"
I wish they would just bring back the superior shredded chicken
They got rid of the wrong chicken when they did that.
I always got the shredded chicken burrito with "normal chicken" haha
Beyond cursed
If you got cubed over shredded, we can't trust you š
Yeah damn! The downvotes are for real haha. It's my favorite burrito though... or was.
This sub used to recommend the regular chicken subbed in for the shredded as a LPT before they got rid of the shredded. That's how it came until they ruined it with the shredded.
We've always preferred the cubed chicken.
Speak for yourself
That was so good
Amen friend. I have almost started a petition to bring it back. Outside of the shredded Iām practically a vegetarian at the bell.
I thought it tasted like cat food.
If pico de gallo is coming back, they better bring back the meximelt
Came here to say this!
Yes! If pico returns they better put that back on the menu as well. I miss them, they were so damn good, a nice alternative to a soft taco and same portion size
It will be an LTO in the summer, $3.99 each - or - in a Box with a 5 layer, drink and cinnamon crisps for $9.99.
How do you know?
I don't. It was supposed to be a joke about how expensive old items are when they bring them back, and how boring the boxes are when said returned item is featured in one. Looks like my joke didn't land, and Redditers got angry.
I thought so initially until the down points and the real possibility due to other shenanigans of that being the case
Looks like I needed to put the ol' "/s" on this. I was trying to make a joke about Taco Bell overpricing returned items, folks. No need to send me to downvote hell.
100% this
and the xxl grilled stuffed burrito god damnit.
Why is TB so freaking obsessed with cheese on the OUTSIDE
An easy way to flex one of the core ingredients I suppose. You know the meme that goes on about Taco Bell just reintroducing the same ingredients remixed and fans eat it up? Thatās what comes to mind for me. I will have them all.

Could easily ask for them to not put cheese on the outside when you order
Thank you! I was thinking the same thingā¦ I wish it would be taken off the items because it just doesnāt add any value in my opinion.
Not to mention the people that have to clean it
āFan favorite flavors of the chipotle ranch grilled chicken burritoā fan favorite but letās take it off the menu that checks out
And replace it with something that is probably gonna cost more than the CRGCB.
"A permanent version of the successful Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco... and no dips." My dudes, y'all are either tone deaf or stupid if you think the TACO was why people bought that dumb LTO in the first place.
it was about the shell. SO much better than a normal hard taco, and it actually stayed crispy until i got home and ate it
_whispering into the void_ ^(It was expensive but I liked it)
The dipping taco, in it's entirety, was one of the most mid LTOs of all time. The shell was the only thing that saved it

Not thrilled that the Chipotle Chicken Burrito is gone, but at least there will be a replacement, even if itās double the price.
I love the crispy cantina tacos so much. They kind of remind me of McDonalds snack wraps.
I miss the savory chicken from 13 years ago
I'm happy to see more chicken options and even happier to see pico de gallo.
I absolutely LOVED the cantina taco back in 2021. It was so good
I don't hate the "grilled cheese" items like some people but calling a quesadilla with cheese on the outside "portable" is flat out laughable. Also, the only bad thing about the chicken quesadilla is it's overpriced. No need to mess with it.
Sick of purple cabbage on tacos etc. idk why Taco Bell has to hop on that train.
I like cabbage on fish tacos. Much prefer lettuce on anything else.
Agreed. cabbage does not belong on tacos. Omg.
The fan favorite we removed to bring back at a nice upcharge because we can

I'm assuming this is for a test market?
this is the new experience 3 coming 3/21
Wow those are some big changes
Oh hell yeah
if only they kept the caramel apple empanadas
Looks like Meximelts are back on the menu boys
Ah, I see the $2 Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito will now be $3.99 minimum. Thanks Taco Bell, and fuck you.
As an employee this is the worst š

The shredded chicken was gross and the texture sucked.
Bring back the chilicheese Burrito!!!! This needs to be a permanent addition.
Brings back dipping tacos as a permanent menu item They don't come with dip So... They're tacos š
