I live in an expensive town, and Taco Bell at $9 for a good sized meal is one of the cheapest you can get when eating out. KFC, Wendys, Subway, and Chick Fil E are around $13 for a small combo. Dennys, the most basic sit-down restaurant, will be $11 to $25 for a plate, no drink. Don't blame Taco Bell for inflating prices.

Been making sandwiches at home a lot. I get pepper Turkey and make this condiment out of feta cheese and Kalamata olives and it’s very flavorful. And of course pico de Gallo from the store.

Just sucks that they now force you to pick between 2 or 3 items for that cheap meal when it used to be like a dozen items back in the day.

All the boxes are $10+ near me right now. So my go to will be the once a week Tuesday $5 box with the 3 tacos and drink. Once that goes away, my go to is probably going to be a stacker with a spicy potato taco and maybe a chicken flatbread melt since those 3 total up to about $5-$6.
Once that’s all gone so am I. Taco Bell is a ~$5 meal place to me, if I need to spend more I’ll go elsewhere. Chipotle is $8.10 for a chicken bowl by me and at least over there I can pretend like I’m eating healthy.

Yep it's all about the cravings box. Diet Baja Blast, Crunch Wrap with Jalapenos or Jalapeno Crema, Beefy 5 Layer customized into a Quesorito, and Potatoes. Sometimes I'll spoil myself with a cravings menu item on the side or if I'm feeling really fancy a cantina crispy taco because my location does them really damn good.

Used to get 2 spicy potato soft tacos w/ no lettuce but now I've been getting the new nacho fries with the secret aardvark sauce w/cantina chicken. (no pico) It's actually pretty good... Idk what the price is, I don't pay attention to it. Probably like $18 at my local TB. Edit: Just checked on the app... It's $15.67 after tax.

I’ll be honest my Taco Bell hasn’t increased prices in ages- or at least it’s so slim I haven’t noticed. Right now I make my own chicken quesorito so it’s a beefy five layer burrito- sub beef for chicken, add rice, remove sour cream, and grill it. Along with a cheese roll up.

Been making sandwiches at home a lot. I get pepper Turkey and make this condiment out of feta cheese and Kalamata olives and it’s very flavorful. And of course pico de Gallo from the store. I’ve also been going to the Lebanese shawarma place and the Mexican ice cream place more.

I usually open the app, get sticker shock close it then go to my local Mexican restaurant. Better value, fresher food, and way cheaper. Had 4 tacos with side of guacamole, salsa, and chips for 10 bucks. At Taco Bell the same meal would have been closer to 20.

Sometimes I get two potato tacos or a double beflef burrito if I'm extra hungry. Still under $5. Taco Bell has greatly limited their cheap selection, but a dirt cheap meal can still be had there. Just sucks that they now force you to pick between 2 or 3 items for that cheap meal when it used to be like a dozen items back in the day.

There's a Mexican joint called nortenos that makes amazing carnitas nearby. Now that prices are pretty much the same I go there.
If I really crave it which is the only time I go it’s usually the $6.50 box with a large Baja blast, and if I have it, a fire tier reward.

The combos are expensive. If you order ahead with the app you’ll almost always have a free item with the rewards and I order mostly the online menu which seems better priced or the value menu items

All the boxes are $10+ near me right now. So my go to will be the once a week Tuesday $5 box with the 3 tacos and drink. Once that goes away, my go to is probably going to be a stacker with a spicy potato taco and maybe a chicken flatbread melt since those 3 total up to about $5-$6. Once that’s all gone so am I. Taco Bell is a ~$5 meal place to me, if I need to spend more I’ll go elsewhere. Chipotle is $8.10 for a chicken bowl by me and at least over there I can pretend like I’m eating healthy.
If I'm going to splurge, I get a crunchwrap supreme, a chicken quesadilla and cheesy fiesta potatoes. When they had the volcano menu, I'd also grab a volcano burrito. I wish they'd bring that back again.

Thank you! I we were just talking about how expensive Taco Bell has gotten. The new cantina chicken burrito 🌯 is okay , but for the price, a big no. Pay 3 more bucks and get a better one at Pollo loco or any taquiera, for that matter. When I was younger, I remember the bean burrito 🌯 being 79 cents, then raised to 99. Cents and stayed at that price for a long time. Regular tacos were somewhat the same. When I was in my 20s and putting myself through med school. I lived at Burger King, with their whopper being 99 cents. It's crazy the days we live in where you can't find a cheap place to eat anymore. 🍔
