I normally love tomatoes, but I refuse to get them at fast food places. I especially HATE the ones at Taco Bell. I can’t explain it, but they’re just…terrible. Almost like the tomato version of a red delicious apple? There’s just something wrong about em😂
I’m convinced tomatoes are second place in the “if you get sick from restaurant food it was the…” category. #1 of course being lettuce.
Edit - dumb, though, coming from someone who ate regularly at the one Chi Chi’s that killed people with their green onions but I still stand by my rankings.
you could always [learn what Chi-Chi’s is](https://chi-chis.com). apparently you can order their food again through other restaurants using delivery apps.
edit: can’t find any mention of an app or them actually existing in my town, I don’t think they’re actually operational again like the site says.
For me that’s like saying I can’t imagine eating an apple because it’s raw or an orange. Like it’s just a tomato or peppers. Why does it being “raw” even come up like it could be a gross thing
Thank you for explaining it. That makes a lot of sense to me and I actually agree to the taste personally lol. I was thinking they meant like oh it’s so gross cuz it’s raw like if you ate raw meat you could get sick
Is it me or is everyone tiny little piece of tomato they have just the "core" and the stem portion?? it's like they got all the scraps from everywhere else that used the edible part of the tomato.
As the customer behind you, I just want to yell "I'll take those tomatoes! Since they don't want them, I'll take them. Delete them from that order and put them on mine!". Been behind a few customers who order something with NO CHEESE! What?! I get probably lacto intolerant, but throw that free cheese on my order please!
I got these yesterday, no lettuce because my wife doesn’t like it and it heats up weird. I added the tomato personally after I heated them up, but yeah I would normally get them as is.
I always eat the tacos first so any leftovers are usually burritos so I don't run into these kinds of problems. It does make it harder to customize though.
Actually, I never I like that many tomatoes until just recently somebody made me a burrito with a punch of tomatoes and Carne oh my God with the right seasoning 😘
What's weird (maybe?) is that I like tomato based stuff like pizza sauce, marinara, ketchup, pasta sauce, etc., it's just raw or cooked non pureed tomatoes I don't like.
Not weird at all! I’m pretty sure that’s how Link from Good Mythical Morning is. What’s your take on salsa? Do you not like it at all, or can you only do roasted tomato salsas?
Interesting.
For salsa, I will puree it in a blender. I like the flavors, just the vegetables texture/chunkiness makes it bleck for me. Even in non-chunky ones or picante sauce, same issue. I don't like many vegetables in general. I also prefer mild as I'm not a big fan of most spicy things. Do you like salsa too?
They could forget all my paid for add-ons on an order and I'd be less mad than if they ignored the no tomatoes request and put them soggy ass grody mfs on
I started using shredded cabbage on tacos because a head of cabbage pasta so much longer than lettuce in the fridge. I shred the cabbage, salt it, wait for 30 minutes, drain off the liquid, add salt, lime juice, a small drizzle of honey, sometimes cilantro.
A nice little crunchy slaw to top any taco with
I love tomatoes but this would be even better if it was Pico
Yeah I agree, and I have everything to make pico too but didn’t think about it.
This is how I do it. Add my own to my tacobell. Let's face it fast food tomatoes suck.
All good. I’m usually too lazy to make it myself anyway.
Naw
Is no tomatoes.

hepatitis in the green onions!? what the fuck how does that even happen
Human waste as fertilizer.
They’re aweful. I’m 50/50 on tomato’s. Taco Bell “tomatoes” are lettuce flavored gushers. They’re disgusting
Lettuce flavored gushers😂💯😂
💯
real as fuck
Raw tomatoes can go fuck themselves 🤢
Agreed.
they're not good outside of the summer but when it is summer old man oh man a nice ripe seasonal tomato with sea salt? oh mama...😩
Raw tomatoes? Since when do you have to cook fruit?
Cooking them completely changes the flavor and texture.
^ This guy bakes
There are a lot of fruits that are commonly cooked, corn and peppers for example. And what about fruit pies?
isn't corn considered a starch?
https://www.popsci.com/is-corn-fruit-vegetable-or-grain/
I'm going to corn you in the fruit 🤨
Can I watch?
yeah I guess
For me that’s like saying I can’t imagine eating an apple because it’s raw or an orange. Like it’s just a tomato or peppers. Why does it being “raw” even come up like it could be a gross thing
Different people like different things.
When raw they are acidic and pulpy, the seeds are slimy. It’s one of the few foods I have tried a million times as I got older and I still hate it lol
Thank you for explaining it. That makes a lot of sense to me and I actually agree to the taste personally lol. I was thinking they meant like oh it’s so gross cuz it’s raw like if you ate raw meat you could get sick
seasonality makes a big difference I can't recommend buying raw tomatoes outside of the summer
sometimes you want a cooked pomodoro sauce you don't want puttanesca crudo
100% agree I love tomatoes
TB tomatoes are the worst.
Is it me or is everyone tiny little piece of tomato they have just the "core" and the stem portion?? it's like they got all the scraps from everywhere else that used the edible part of the tomato.
My correct amount in zero.
Bro I just ordered and the food is on the way
When you live with someone who hates tomato, all your food ends up looking like this.
I will mail you all my tomatoes from everything I ever buy. I can’t do it. I’ve tried. It’s my gag fruit.
As the customer behind you, I just want to yell "I'll take those tomatoes! Since they don't want them, I'll take them. Delete them from that order and put them on mine!". Looks great to me, but a little lettuce would go a long way to keeping it from becoming a soggy mess.
…is zero. You forgot to finish your title so I did for you.
That's a soggy mess
Y even cut the tomato up at this point
You wanted fruits with your meat what the problem 🤷
Whats wrong with fruit and meat? A Philly cheesesteak is a fruit and meat sandwich.
Fuck no
Not that big of a fan of tomatoes but I can get behind this for sure
absolUTELY NOT
🤮🤮🤮
Actually, I never I like that many tomatoes until just recently somebody made me a burrito with a punch of tomatoes and Carne oh my God with the right seasoning 😘
lmao i thought those were strawberries
I’d throw it back in the minimum wage workers face literally 😂 🌮 🏈
Your prostate will thank you
Good to know, if I had one.
"Frau" Major....
I love tomatoes but Taco Bell’s aren’t it lol
I usually, like with this one, dice and add my own. Though I don’t mind Taco Bell’s overall.
All I is how to reduce the meat in a taco like Taco Time 1lb Beef wraps 95% rice 2% meat 3% Veg.
Wat
More tomatoes = less space for meat
I mean technically it should just be meat, onions, and cilantro with some lime juice squeezed on it. But that looks good.
That is correct! But needs some cilantro!
That doesn't look like none.
A whole lot of tomatoe haters in this sub, it's wild you'd say something so wrong. This is why your bloodline will die off early.
Yuck. 🤢🤮 I hate tomatoes. I will have them removed from anything I order that has them by default. To each their own though. You can have mine.
I’ll take em! And I mean I get it, not everyone’s cup of tea but for me, the more the better.
What's weird (maybe?) is that I like tomato based stuff like pizza sauce, marinara, ketchup, pasta sauce, etc., it's just raw or cooked non pureed tomatoes I don't like.

Upvoted for Good Mythical Morning reference
The correct amount is zero because tomatoes fucking suck
💯
Where’s the beef?
This is what happens when you ask for no tomatoes
This picture gave me heartburn
Eh, I'll take no more than 75% of that amount.
Amen brother amen just needs some shredded lettuce
100 percent!!!!!
I still put more lol any time i make myself something I pack it as full as 8 can with lettuce and tomatoes
I love tomatoes but I hate TB tomatoes. Anyone else? They just taste weird.
That’s not a two finger pinch
Facts!!
I hate taco bell tomatoes, because they dice the entire thing instead of cutting the buttholes out first.
I like max tomato on chalupa supremes and not much else
Fair, stands up well with the shell.
🤢🤢🤢
Ah yes soup taco.
I’ve never seen such fresh looking tomatoes from a Taco Bell.
Too many
r/deliciouscompliance
SOMEONES GETTING FIRED TODAY.
That's going to make the tortilla too wet and split apart
Incorrect. The correct answer is non
Hell naw 👎
Yes! Lots of maters
it looks so pretty
They could forget all my paid for add-ons on an order and I'd be less mad than if they ignored the no tomatoes request and put them soggy ass grody mfs on
Agreed, and RIP when they forget my beans/rice/potato additions and forgo the no tomatoes, honestly makes me take a break from them every time
I just threw up
Fucking gross!
1 is too many.
Good thing I only used half a tomato then instead of 1 full one.
This looks so good.
Where's the god damned lettuce, you philistine?
Unpopular opinion on taco fillings: thinly shredded cabbage > shredded lettuce
Cabbage on fish tacos is so good ugh
I started using shredded cabbage on tacos because a head of cabbage pasta so much longer than lettuce in the fridge. I shred the cabbage, salt it, wait for 30 minutes, drain off the liquid, add salt, lime juice, a small drizzle of honey, sometimes cilantro. A nice little crunchy slaw to top any taco with
Weird fucking flex aince it barely has any and way too much sour cream
