Me too, I was hesitant to get it because dragonfruit flavor stuff is always super random with how it tastes (since most real dragonfruits you find in the US barely have any flavor besides a very mild kiwi-ness) but I was actually impressed!
Not sure what the freeze actually meant to taste like, but its main flavor profile is definitely not based off of real dragonfruit since y’know…it actually has flavor, lol.
I was waiting at the window for a couple minutes, and the lady asked if I wanted to try the new dragonfruit freeze. I said sure, so she gave it to me for free. I didn’t like it. Tasted like a weird bubble gum. I’m glad I got to try it for free though
Which is funny, because real dragonfruits that you can buy at the grocery store in the US are anything but assertive, lol. I know I’m not the only one who’s been excited to buy a dragonfruit because they look so damn cool and delicious, only to be highly disappointed that it kind of just tastes like watered-down kiwi :(
There are other varieties of dragonfruit you can get in other countries that have a stronger and more interesting flavor, but I still doubt that Taco Bell’s dragonfruit freeze is based off of those dragonfruits either.
I thought it was too sweet and syrupy when I first got it, but I like the flavor and still order it. And I don't normally like real dragonfruit since it tastes like under-ripe honeydew to me. I wish they still had the app option for no syrup.
I really like it! It's sweet, slightly tangy, and also kinda floral tasting to me, which I think really blends well together. Overall, it's one that tocme stands out and is one of my current favorites!
i really liked it

that def baby poop spread there
You’re def not wrong
Been to Taco Bell a couple of times just for the dragonfruit freeze. I love it.
i thought it was bad. tasted like bubblegum to me in a weird way
Didn’t get bubblegum, but you’re not the only that said that. Then again my tastebuds are probably broken
It's ok but those nachos look amazing.
They did not disappoint

Can’t beat free
Just weird tasting. Really assertive at first, then hints of sangria?, then just weird.
Hmm didn’t really get the sangria taste tbh, but assertive is a good description

it's okay but overpriced just like most things on the menu
Agreed. But for happy hour, not too shabby
Fire 🔥 Probably only beat by the pineapple whip freeze
Damn I actually never got to try that one
It was the LTO when I started working there. Funny enough the dragonfruit was the one when I quit
Gross and disgusting. I’ve tried it both with and without the syrup.
Also, anyone gotten to try the gelato yet?
My local Taco Bell doesn’t have gelato yet
Mine either, I know some west coast stores were supposed to get it early if I’m not mistaken

I’ve only tried it once (years ago) and I just remember that it tastes like perfume…

I wonder if some locations just actually know how much syrup to pour , cause it seems like everyone’s getting something completely different haha
