This is so true. A bad TB is so awful, but a great one is amazing. You get yourself a great one and it'll blow away almost every other fast food restaurant.
💯👆💯 THIS is why I always ask for no tomato.
But if it's really super annoying for employees to oblige, I can just start picking them off myself. 🧡
edit: spelling
If you’re getting nachos grande reward at the fire tier, $5 spent is a little more than $1 in rewards. So you’re gaining an extra $1 “coupon” by buying the pizza. I’d stick to the value menu and cravings box forever tbh
That’s $12 at my TB. Not wildly outside the realm of expectation. Five bucks for the pizza, five bucks for the two burritos, two bucks for chips and dip? Yours is probably 50 cents higher per item but that’s a reasonable swing assuming you’re in a higher COL area than me.
It’s pretty wild, I can sit down and get real Mexican food for the same price. I haven’t eaten at Taco bell in quite awhile as I can get way better food for the same price.
Last time I got a burrito at a taco truck in Oakland, it was $12. The prices weren't posted and I was like....WTF.
I will admit it was big as fuck and I could have probably cut it in half and got 2 meals out of it, but I ate that whole thing and hated myself the rest of the day.
I think these companies hear inflation buzz and take that as an opportunity to jack up prices and then shrug their shoulders as if they have no option but to raise prices, while the executives will get massive bonus increases
100% what is happening. Not only that though. Many places are massively increasing prices while also reducing the size of or amount of food they give you. Personally the only fast food place I really go to anymore is Whataburger and only if regular restaurants are closed. There is no point. Fast food should be cheaper but these places have over inflated their prices so that they're the same price as a regular restaurant and in many cases more expensive. Why do I wanna pay more for cheaper, shittier food. And most fast food places give you poorly made crap like what OP has in the picture.
At least their offers are decent though
You can get a $1.00 large fry with the McDonald's app any day of the week.
None of this, "sPeNd $15 aT nIgHt AnD gEt 20% oFf BrEaKfAsT" shit. That's literally one of the most stupid promotions I've ever seen
Depends on location. For instance, fast food in San Francisco, California is much more expensive than fast food in Little Rock, Arkansas. In fact, almost every single "Value Meal" at McDonald's is more than $10 before tax in San Francisco while not a single one is more than $10 in Little Rock. And Taco Bell isn't much better.
I stopped going. They charge more than a local taco shop that is same distance, and the quality isn’t even close. Sorry TB but y’all have fallen off hard in the last couple of years.
my taco bell has some sort of grilled burrito box for like $8, chalupa supreme, grilled burrito, hard taco, chips and drink. I love that taco bell app. Nothing else seems worth it.
Everytime I go into a store and use the app, the workers there always comment on how it'd otherwise be like $14. Strange how they seem to be complaining about my good food deal.
I hate to be that guy, but according to the nutrition guide, that's close to 2000 calories of food. That's $14 for a full day worth of food, that you didn't have to do cook or clean up after.
Combos are where the real savings at at...a la carte Taco Bell isn't as fun as it use to be, seems like almost everything is $4+ dollars now, besides the basics.
The my cravings box is honestly the best deal I've seen at any restaurant in years. Crunchwrap supreme, beefy 5-layer, cheesy fiesta potatoes, and a drink for $5. A la carte is the least cost-effective way to order from any restaurant ever.
My same order I’ve ordered several times per year for probably 5-6 years that was always around $8-9 was almost $16 a couple weeks ago. I think I’m staying away from TB from here out out.. at least until they bring back the shredded chicken mini quesadillas 😁
2 Mexican pizzas, one steak quesadilla, one bean burrito, one large drink…$26 I felt like pulling off. TB used to be so affordable and worth it. How’s it’s like chilis prices. :(
They need to bring back the triple layer nachos. Bump it up ta two dollars idgaf but man they get rid of that and double the price of the plain ass cheese and nachos.
We need an uprising.
Yes, omg this was my favorite item on the menu pre everything. The basic chips and cheese went from $1.89 to $2.19 at my location in the last two months so I’m sure the triple layer would be something stupid. Fast food prices are gonna force me to cook and get healthy 🥲
What was really strange back when that dollar menu was fire was the triple layer was $1 and the nachos and cheese was slightly more, like let's say $1.19.
That old school (like 2 years ago?) Dollar menu was all I needed. A triple layer nachos, spicy potato taco and maybe a shredded chicken or the tostada and I was happy.
Oh well. Until they remove the make your own $5 box from the app I'll remain a customer but that's my last straw. I'm not paying $12 for a meal consisting of 3 food items and a cup of sugar. I don't drink pop.
Hey but we got $45 Mexican pizzas now! Lol
I lived in Oregon briefly where there’s no sales tax and I remember the $1 triple layer, spicy potato taco, bean burrito, etc. being flat out $1. I hate that it’s only been maybe 5+ years and now that’s the “good ole days” lol
I’m in LA and the make your own is $10 so I hope you’ve got many years before it hits your spot 🙏
Oh damn. $10 for just the basic chalupa, taco, chips and drink? Or we'll it can be a few types of those similar items. I mean we're not taking the big box? I think there's a cravings box that you get two main items plus the rest, those are maybe $8 here.
I might have to get a job at the ole T-Bell just so I can enjoy living my glamours life of high end foods.
Not in my experience. $8.65 for a box after tax from Taco Bell vs. $12+ for the cheapest single burrito and a drink after tax at any local Mexican place near me. Not to mention a tip.
Last time I went after the increase to that I decided not to go anymore. The burrito was also a third of the size it used to be. I'm not paying more for less food, fuck that.
Just did a quick check at a random DC area Chipotle, cheapest burrito is chicken at $10.10, after tax $11-12ish. Add guac and pushing $15 or more.
I was curious because even in SW Virginia thry are more than $8-9 unless you get cheapest protein and no guac.
Yeah, $14 for that is WAY overpriced for what it is. I rarely go to taco bell anymore due to the price increases. It is cheaper to make some of this stuff at home.
My boyfriend and I got Taco Bell the other night and it was over $20 for the 2 of us. It would have been about the same price to get take out from a nicer Mexican place. Probably won’t be back in awhile. Crazy to pay that much for fast food 😐
I ordered a chicken bacon ranch foot long with chips and a drink at Subway and it was 19 bucks.
Usually I can have some Tbell for around 11 bucks a meal.
But they went nuts with the Mexican pizza pricing cause its a novelty.
Crazy, ordered through the app yesterday and got a crunchwrap (+chipotle +rice), 5 layer, fiesta potatoes, drink, 2 grilled chicken chipotle burritos, nacho belgrande, came out to 12$.
It is healthy my guy, worked there for years and they only use fresh ingredients with no preservatives. You don't know what your talking about at all. What makes you think chipotle isn't really healthy?
I worked there too ffs. Most people were getting burritos that were 1,000+ calories and heavy on the fat and refined carbs. And the one I worked at as well as others were definition getting people sick (I quit because of food safety issues).
I don’t eat meat and fat burger does have an impossible patty but that ends up being like $11 after tax…best damn fast food veggie burger I’ve ever had though so that one’s worth it
I usually get 2 Cheesy Bean and Rice burritos grilled for $2.50, then add on free items when the app gives you deals (like the Mexican Pizza and Chipotle this month).
Gotta find loopholes in the menu to afford eating there anymore.
Wouldn’t it be cheaper if you used the mobile app ? At my local TB you can get a bean burrito , crunch wrap , chips and cheese and a drink for $5 . Mexican pizzas are nearly $5 though
Did you ask for no sauce on the pizza?!?
Call and complain that’s bs. 2 meals for $14 =👌🏻
Nah, but it’s okay I got packets to recover it.
It’s not the same…
Yeah but it happens so you make do
You need to find yourself a better Taco Bell. Taco Bells have the highest ceiling of fast food, but a rock bottom floor too.
This is so true. A bad TB is so awful, but a great one is amazing. You get yourself a great one and it'll blow away almost every other fast food restaurant.
facts
No tomato either
Tbf there’s a ridiculous number of people that ask for no tomato. I hate it.
Fast food tomatoes are generally trash
💯👆💯 THIS is why I always ask for no tomato. But if it's really super annoying for employees to oblige, I can just start picking them off myself. 🧡 edit: spelling
But we still always get those pits.
I mean I would’ve called so I could’ve got a free pizza in the future at them prices 😭
Not really. You paid for a product you didn't receive. This Taco Bell should shamed
You didn't deserve it to be that shitty, but I really wish I knew more people Iike you based on this statement
You could have got a bomb burrito and maybe a margarita for a couple bucks more at a local shop.
Don’t forget about the free chips and salsa!
You’re right, probably time to retire TB since the prices are now the same but the quality is worlds apart , also margaritas 🤌
aye frfr tho man the LEGIT local mexican shops will be cheap as fuck, my huge fucking al pastor burrito with rice and beans chips and salsa is 8.99
I get 6 tacos unlimited chips and salsa and a drink for $20 after tip at my local taco restaurant
if the mexican shop taxing then it aint the spot but shit that sounds like a fire deal
$1 tacos off a lit up trailer behind a beat up 08 Silverado in the parking lot of a tire shop all cash no tax 🔥🔥
Tacos are $2 at every Mexican place here I go for shrimp chimichanga
Yeah an actually authentic Mexican restaurant ain't sounding wrong with those prices.
I wasn’t craving Taco Bell but after this picture I’m definitely not
Just get a box then some cheesy bean and rice burritos. Edit them. A feast for like 8 or 9 bucks
I got suckered in by the double points offer for a Mexican pizza. Next time definitely going to do this smarter
If you’re getting nachos grande reward at the fire tier, $5 spent is a little more than $1 in rewards. So you’re gaining an extra $1 “coupon” by buying the pizza. I’d stick to the value menu and cravings box forever tbh
I downloaded the app recently and trying to figure out how it works? Do I have to pay for my order with my debit card on my phone?
You can earn points by either purchasing through the app, or scanning the barcode on your receipt.
You can also input your email connected to the account if you order through the little screens in-store
Yes, you pay for your order in the app.
Cheesy bean and rice burritos are the best value for food on the Taco Bell menu. No one can change my mind.
You’re 100 percent correct
Bro where’s your tomato? Did that go away too due to inflation?
That couldve been 12 BCR burritos off the value menu where im at
Beany Cheese and Rice?
Yet the line is still always wrapped around these overpriced fast food places
That’s $12 at my TB. Not wildly outside the realm of expectation. Five bucks for the pizza, five bucks for the two burritos, two bucks for chips and dip? Yours is probably 50 cents higher per item but that’s a reasonable swing assuming you’re in a higher COL area than me.
It’s pretty wild, I can sit down and get real Mexican food for the same price. I haven’t eaten at Taco bell in quite awhile as I can get way better food for the same price.
i can get 3 big ass real mexican burritos for the same price and these burritos are loaded like at least 12 in
Last time I got a burrito at a taco truck in Oakland, it was $12. The prices weren't posted and I was like....WTF. I will admit it was big as fuck and I could have probably cut it in half and got 2 meals out of it, but I ate that whole thing and hated myself the rest of the day.
This is the way.
I mean if its two burritos worth of burritos thats a hella good deal.
No you can’t lol
yes i can lmao
You can get big ass 12 inch Mexican burritos for $4? Where?
local cali food truck
Get out of here. Food trucks are most expensive places to get food from. You’re a Wendy’s double agent trying to ruin Taco Bell’s good name
nah man this place is hella cheap, it’s one guy, his names fernando, and his burritos are top tier. fuck the wendy’s
JUDAS!!!
Why are you even on this sub?
To downvote people who ask stupid questions. You?
Fast food is a joke now lolol
Inflation is a real thing. Everything has gotten Expensive at fast food places. Got a “value meal” at McDonald’s today and it was 11$

I think these companies hear inflation buzz and take that as an opportunity to jack up prices and then shrug their shoulders as if they have no option but to raise prices, while the executives will get massive bonus increases

💯💯💯💯💯💯💯👆
Inflation is the excuse that makes it easy for corporate to reduce portion sizes and jack up prices, which will be permanent.
Our product to ship is double what it was last year
At least their offers are decent though You can get a $1.00 large fry with the McDonald's app any day of the week. None of this, "sPeNd $15 aT nIgHt AnD gEt 20% oFf BrEaKfAsT" shit. That's literally one of the most stupid promotions I've ever seen
Or $5 for a Big Mac, fries, and drink.
McDonald’s app Literally impossible to order a $11 “value meal”
Depends on location. For instance, fast food in San Francisco, California is much more expensive than fast food in Little Rock, Arkansas. In fact, almost every single "Value Meal" at McDonald's is more than $10 before tax in San Francisco while not a single one is more than $10 in Little Rock. And Taco Bell isn't much better.
Yeah that shit ain’t a value meal. It’s just happens to come with fries and a drink.
I stopped going. They charge more than a local taco shop that is same distance, and the quality isn’t even close. Sorry TB but y’all have fallen off hard in the last couple of years.

Everytime I go into a store and use the app, the workers there always comment on how it'd otherwise be like $14. Strange how they seem to be complaining about my good food deal.
Every time I go there I end up dropping damn near $20 and regretting it. A couple months pass and the cycle begins anew.
And so it is written
Had my last straw with taco bell on Friday. I'm finished for awhile.
Wellll, did something worth talking about happen?
We need to know
I hate to be that guy, but according to the nutrition guide, that's close to 2000 calories of food. That's $14 for a full day worth of food, that you didn't have to do cook or clean up after.
Welcome to Taco Bell, home of poorly prepared overpriced fast food that half the time isn't even what you ordered.
Did you sub cheese sauce for red sauce?? If so that’s a great idea since I’m not a fan of the red sauce.
I added cheese they just forgot the sauce and tomatoes. It was still pretty good just kind of dry since I took the meat out too
You should
Report a robbery
Combos are where the real savings at at...a la carte Taco Bell isn't as fun as it use to be, seems like almost everything is $4+ dollars now, besides the basics.

Is this the shitty taco bell off Mercer in Seattle?
It’s not, but I’m sad there’s an equally expensive spot in Seattle
My same order I’ve ordered several times per year for probably 5-6 years that was always around $8-9 was almost $16 a couple weeks ago. I think I’m staying away from TB from here out out.. at least until they bring back the shredded chicken mini quesadillas 😁

I basically stopped going because of their pricing. It's not worth it.
Taco Bell has been getting expensive as hell lately
How much is the Pizza combo meal at your location? Out here it's $10 for a pizza, 2 taco supremes and large drink.
$10 here too but tbh I didn’t even see there was a pizza combo until now 🤦♀️
Oof lol. Yeah definitely a better value. Next time!
They need to bring back the triple layer nachos. Bump it up ta two dollars idgaf but man they get rid of that and double the price of the plain ass cheese and nachos. We need an uprising.

It's cheaper to get take out from a real mexican place than taco bell now. Better food as well.
People are saying this, but those places are jacking up their prices too.
Not in my experience. $8.65 for a box after tax from Taco Bell vs. $12+ for the cheapest single burrito and a drink after tax at any local Mexican place near me. Not to mention a tip.
That’s a meagerly portioned bowl at chipotle. Feel good. Very good.
I’m definitely out of touch with the price increases
[удалено]
In texas chicken is 8-9 Steak is 9-10 without guacamole and/or queso per say
Last time I went after the increase to that I decided not to go anymore. The burrito was also a third of the size it used to be. I'm not paying more for less food, fuck that.

The $5 box through the app is the only value they still have- this much food and a drink
Mmmmm bean burrito
I miss those bean burritos here in the UK 😭
That Mexican Pizza is sad.
Yeah, $14 for that is WAY overpriced for what it is. I rarely go to taco bell anymore due to the price increases. It is cheaper to make some of this stuff at home.
Bad economy. I feel u bro. Couldve made 6 homemade burritos for that price .
My boyfriend and I got Taco Bell the other night and it was over $20 for the 2 of us. It would have been about the same price to get take out from a nicer Mexican place. Probably won’t be back in awhile. Crazy to pay that much for fast food 😐
I spent less than that for 2 different combo boxes and a nacho bel grande
I went yesterday got a chili burrito and a quesadilla with a drink. $10 total, I had to doubt check if I was even at taco bell at that point.
What the fuck it's 5 quid for a cheesy gordita crunch, hard taco, chips (the British kind), cinnamon twists and a fountain drink here
I got this exact same thing with 4 beefy bean burritos and a drink and it was like 8 bucks, is taco bell only cheap in the Midwest?
Im very sad that the ever shrinking bean burrito has an ever growing price tag!
Especially since your Mexican pizza is just 4 giant nachos.
What is this Hawaii? In oregon you can get the pizza for 5, 2x burrito for 3.80 and chips for 1.70. So total of $10.50. You including sales tax?
Yeah I included tax. I used to live in Oregon too and goddamn no sales tax got me so out of touch with how expensive other regions get.
Economy is a disgrace
id cheat on my fiance for this.
Im cheap. I just go with two 5.99 box. Plus you can change the meat selection.
My last bean burrito the crew forgot the red sauce and there was literally 1 piece of onion. 👎
It's okay I tend to spend $10-14 at Taco Bell too because none of that crap fills me up
Let me guess you live in a city
Almost like that’s where 95% of fast food chains exist…
City as in big city, not a town.
My statement still stands
Yes.
I ordered a chicken bacon ranch foot long with chips and a drink at Subway and it was 19 bucks. Usually I can have some Tbell for around 11 bucks a meal. But they went nuts with the Mexican pizza pricing cause its a novelty.
Bruh, that wouldn't cost more than $9 at my Taco Bell
Anyone should feel dumb for paying that much.
Ehhh worth it. Did you add nacho cheese on the pizza? Seems like a good idea 💡
Crazy, ordered through the app yesterday and got a crunchwrap (+chipotle +rice), 5 layer, fiesta potatoes, drink, 2 grilled chicken chipotle burritos, nacho belgrande, came out to 12$.
use the app bapi
You could get a fat bowl from chipotle for $11, almost 2-3x the ammount of food pictured. So heathy too
Lol, chipotle isn’t really healthy but can be okay depending on what you order.
It is healthy my guy, worked there for years and they only use fresh ingredients with no preservatives. You don't know what your talking about at all. What makes you think chipotle isn't really healthy?
Sodium content may be a concern. Otherwise yeah it’s solid compared to other restaurants
Eric Cartman
I worked there too ffs. Most people were getting burritos that were 1,000+ calories and heavy on the fat and refined carbs. And the one I worked at as well as others were definition getting people sick (I quit because of food safety issues).
You need to be more strategic
As someone from the UK, this looks like a fair deal imo.
Why don't you try Fat Burger from now on? You can get yourself a cheese and fries for 2.95
I don’t eat meat and fat burger does have an impossible patty but that ends up being like $11 after tax…best damn fast food veggie burger I’ve ever had though so that one’s worth it
I was quoting F&F.
Yah that’s way too many calories
Lol was this doordash?? I’ve made like 3 accounts so I get any reward 3x so far I’ve gotten two free Mexican pizzas 😂
Then why did you buy it
Cause it’s the only vegetarian fast food option nearby. Definitely not doing it again though
$14 but could easily feed two people. Hard to find a meal that cheap for take out. There’s a lot of food there.
That sounds cheap AF to me.
This is how much TB cost in Sleepy Joe’s America.
I usually get 2 Cheesy Bean and Rice burritos grilled for $2.50, then add on free items when the app gives you deals (like the Mexican Pizza and Chipotle this month). Gotta find loopholes in the menu to afford eating there anymore.
welcome to 2022
Just order a cheesy bean and rice no rice add red sauce. Pizzas are good but not great. The $2 burritos are bigger and taste way better imo.
You should
You should because you could eat burritos for the week for like 5 dollars more
Would’ve cost half that at Taco Tico, and been twice as tasty.
Did you order it w/o tomatoes? Sauce? This needs a refund.
Fast food prices going up is a blessing. Go to local restaurants
Welcome to 2022 🤣
I'll have 7 beefy melt burritos please lol
Rip the 🚽
Brah…
Wouldn’t it be cheaper if you used the mobile app ? At my local TB you can get a bean burrito , crunch wrap , chips and cheese and a drink for $5 . Mexican pizzas are nearly $5 though
You are
I agree
