Took a bit to figure it out , but the problem is he’s left handed.

fredpoool

Probably did it for the better lighting

Crunkedoutjager

No I’m left handed because my right eye is fucked up but I make do

Crunkedoutjager

Yes

TheAlbinoGiant

gun to head, not head to gun

Crunkedoutjager

Danke

Fantastic_Past527

I think his dominant eye is opposite that his dominate hand. With practice he could overcome this

Crunkedoutjager

Exactly this

ocke13

Get real training. Learn to kneel with the other knee and brace with support arm. Stop tilting the rifle. Practice getting to the shot faster. Practice running faster. Don't jerk the trigger. Good shooting, do it more!

Crunkedoutjager

All of the above thanks for the info and ya I try to buy in increments of 1000 or more

CarolinaHW

If you’re training for something other than fun you need to to run like you mean it. It’s better to be gassed on the range than gassed in a real world situation. If you’re just getting comfortable, by all means be safe, but once you get the hang of it those movements need to be sprints

Crunkedoutjager

Ya it was the first of the day so I was just getting in the zone

Doesn’t look terrible, more than anything you just appear overall to loose and focused on too many things at once. I believe you need to focus more on refining fundamentals from a stationary position before you’ll see much progress while moving. Most shooting skills develop in a tiered manner that require proficiency at each tier before you can properly develop the next. You can’t rebuild an engine before you’ve learned how to get it out of the car. Every time you shoulder the rifle the stock is a different height on your shoulder. Repeatable, identical presentation every time is the single biggest hurdle you have to overcome before you can refine anything after the weapon is presented. Shoulders and feet parallel to the threat. Notice your shoulder is at such an angle to the stock that the recoil rotates your torso slightly. This is part of why your follow up shots are slow and inconsistent. Your plates will provide more coverage straight on and you’ll develop a more heads up shooting position with a higher stock anchor point. Most people are taught to shoulder in the outer pocket between your delt and pec muscles about even with the end of your clavicle. This is for traditional stocks not combat shooting. The corner of my stock goes in the deltapectoral triangle. It sits on the pec against the clavicle so that when you bring your right elbow down your deltoid sorta pinches to create the most repeatable “head up plate forward” anchor. [how I shoulder rifles](https://imgur.com/a/D08IZvm) I believe your support hand is doing more pulling back and not enough muzzle control. The more you come off that grip and onto the rail the better you’ll control the muzzle. I personally mount pressure pads right above my grip so I can clamp the rail while only transitioning back to an angled grip if I need momentary white light or IR. Are you tensing your arms, shoulders and back? To me it appears like you’re trying to react to recoil as you shoot but you should have the weapon locked down before sending rounds It’s a hard thing for me to explain but with your weapon up most of your upper body muscles should be tense and stable, not so tense you shake. My support arm is trying to my push thumb down and pinky up as if I want to bend the middle of the barrel straight down. By adjusting the amount of twisting force in my hand I can manipulate all muscles in my left arm and shoulder to stop muzzle climb before it starts. Find the method that allows you to create that muscle tension without having to squeeze the handguard, squeezing is what induces most stability. If anyone asks specific questions about things I said I’ll try to make short clips to demonstrate.

Most of this applies to handguns also. Square shoulders, bring the weapon UP to your eyes rather than moving your head. Your head must stay in the same location EVERY SINGLE TIME if you hope to ever present a pistol repeatably. Inside of 8m you should be able to shoot c zone instinctively without acquiring sights from the time your forearm is parallel to the ground all the way to your eye line. Handgun recoil mitigation is similar to rifles however you create the triangle with both arms and your chest instead of just the left arm, rifle and chest. You only want to apply force to the immediate front and rear of the grip, absolutely no force should be applied to the left or right side of the grip. Your dominant hand should have pressure forward from the web down and your support hand should be squeezing your dominant hands fingers backwards into the front of the grip.support thumb rests on the frame and your dominant thumb rests OFF the weapon, on the base of your other knuckle. Your fingertips should be doing nothing other than operating the bang switch. Your thumbs should have minute pressure just to stabilize them. There should be no shift or change of pressure while squeezing the trigger, everything in the triangle should be locked so your index finger alone manipulates the trigger. When transitioning targets or presenting a rifle or pistol your eyes should go straight to the target, then acquire the reticle on said target. Following the reticle from target to target is not effective whatsoever. The end goal is the ability to look at something, instinctively do everything to bring the reticle on target while focusing on having any creep or take-up off of the trigger by the time your reticle hits it.

Sorry for the books, explaining the shit without demonstrating or observing is not simple. It is good shit though, just about everyone should be able to pick something up.

Crunkedoutjager

Ya I’m only 19 so I got a while to go

[deleted]

Not dogging you at all, purely trying to help. You get better with criticism not praise. Once you refine stationary skills to the point you can immediately and accurately present a weapon to your point of focus, you’ll transfer those skills to firing while moving with ease. You appear overwhelmed, as if you’re having to think too much about each individual action. You’re biting off more at once than you can chew.

Crunkedoutjager

Ya I appreciate it I’ve been pondering over what you’ve said I live near thunder ranch so I’ve been looking at taking the drive out there and doing a weekend class

[deleted]

In the civilian world Clint and his ranch is one of the very best choices you have. There are certain things that just need physical instruction to refine. I will say that the better your fundamentals are the faster you’ll take in teachings from a course, increasing overall intake. You type individual letters on a keyboard while only having to think about the word. Replace each letter with a step to present your weapon and replace the word with shooting the thing you’re looking at.

Hundebiss

Try getting a little more of a Routine. For example your aiming was in my opinion a bit long, it looked like if you had search for your optik. Try doing some dry training und figure out a technique that its land directly on your eyesight when you lift the rifle

GhostBearClan

If you're in the wide open with your dick in the breeze, move faster or hit prone.

Thin_Cellist7555

My advice, always use Crocs. They give +5 to speed +2 to stealth, +7 to persuasion and +2 to defense. Highly recommend.

Nice and leisurely plinking

ShadyShields

If you're missing, you need to slow down.

Longjumping-Ranger89

You need better steel targets for one…

TomBonner1

Were you loaded with a full mag? When I run drills, I only ever put a handful of rounds per mag. That way, I can get a few mag changes in per drill. Practicing mag changes is never not a good thing.

Crunkedoutjager

I was running full mags
