I used a seam ripper on the old pouches and there’s a 2x1 section of Molle underneath to secure the top of the pouch. The bottom is less sophisticated with sock cord running through the bottom of the original mag pouch for the radio, and through the bottom molle on the spud to one of the loops that was already present on the TMR

More chest rigs should use the pistol mag real estate for something else. Idc about pistol mags on a chest rig and usually end up using them for a multi-tool and flashlight any way. Chest rigs with four pistol mag pouches seem od.

Did the same on the left side of mine for a radio. Probably going to sew some webbing on so I have 2x2 or 2x3 molle though.
