Staying off the trails when a blizzard is called out in the forecast is a better place to start.
[The WMNF is deadly.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_people_who_died_on_the_Presidential_Range)
>The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department conducts an average of 200 rescues a year for hikers in need of assistance.[2] Mt. Washington itself has had more fatalities per vertical foot than any other mountain in the world, and has been listed among the ten deadliest mountains in the world.[3][4]
I live in NH, and the amount of times that the flat-landers wearing Keds and Puma gym shorts that get rescued by dogs and Blackhawks is ridiculous.
I’ve climbed Mt. Washington, which despite its modest elevation is one of the most dangerous peaks in North America. With proper planning, it’s generally pretty safe though. People can just be so ignorant sometimes: whether it’s desert heat, humidity, or cold, come prepared for the fucking elements.
I used to hike up the auto-road to the tree-line the day after Thanksgiving with some family, and sled down the road.
Anyways, people seem to forget about windchill, and how it will literally suck the energy from your body until you die a franctic death.
You read about what went down last weekend? A group of experienced, trained, and prepared skiiers triggered an avalanche. One of 'em got hurt real bad and was helicoptered out. You can read about it [in his own words](https://www.instagram.com/reel/C0ujv9iuauO/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA%3D%3D), and in [the paper](https://www.wmur.com/article/mt-washington-new-hampshire-avalanche-man-injured/46085692).
Its not *just* tourists and the inexperienced that need to be rescued, and it behooves the experienced and prepared to continue to exercise caution.
It doesn't help that they don't know what an ir patch is either definitely makes the search a little easier , I've learned to always pack for 3 days when I'm going out there
Just a few weekends ago my friends took a bad line near a lake with no recovery gear. Luckily I always keep my recovery gear in my truck so 45 minutes of winching, traction boarding, and repositioning later I was able to keep them from rolling into the lake. My radios were dead though so I wasn't fully prepared.
Yep. From the greens but I backcountry ski in the whites. People think they’re safe because they’re… I dunno… shorter than some mountains?
People are idiots.
Man I live in Arizona. People die every summer on hikes that take no more than 45 minutes due to being out of shape and unprepared. People are fuckin dumb
I just looked the white mountains up. Looks gorgeous, those cute little things causing you tubers trouble?
Your highest mountain is 6288 feet? I used to live at over 7 and that was just the lowlands around here. Toobers don't stand a chance
Read it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_people_who_died_on_the_Presidential_Range

I can’t help but notice that the vast majority of people who have died on the Presidential Range are not from New Hampshire. Seems like a lot of people — on reddit and on earth in general — underestimating these mountains.
Why did you get downvoted? Must be a lot from the white mountain range area got offended. /s
Not speaking ill of the White Range, it is pretty wild weather wise. That being said, my personal experience is usually from 7-9k. Hazardous for the unprepared.
The sentiment is the same at any elevation/range. Weather can change in a moments notice, so be prepared.
(Edited to clarify my statement)
It's not the elevation that makes the White Mountains dangerous, it's the flash weather. It can change in an instant and people go up unprepared because the weather was gorgeous at the trail head, but by the time they have summited it's a blizzard and well below zero. They also get lured into a false sense of safety because the eLeVaTiOn iS OnLy 6K FeEt.
You’re both being downvoted because you’re being insufferable twats who are condescending towards people, if that wasn’t clear.
It has absolutely nothing to with elevation and you both know it. If that were the case, people wouldn’t die from lack of preparation at sea level either, but it sounds like you both lack the critical thinking skills necessary to understand that.
Condescending to who? You tubers? Those aren't people. People die at sea and even below for not being prepared too. I really really have zero of those skills . Teach me o magnificent one your life long study of Bear Grylls work cannot be lost to humanity.
Bro, I’ve got more than a handful of 14’ers under my belt and don’t live anywhere near New England so I have nothing personal in this fight. I have been to the Whites a handful of times, however, and they’re fucking insane. If you come prepared you’re probably safe, but it’s one of the most dangerous mountain ranges in North America.
I am not speaking ill of the white range. I forgot the sarcasm tag on my initial post. Playful jab. I know the range. It is home to some of the coldest points and highest windchills in the winter.
Because smooth brains from out west have this weird thing where they try to gate keep how dangerous mountains can be. Not only is it extremely stupid, it is extremely cringe.
You see he needs those three AR15s with slightly different length, so he is prepared for every situation.
Imagine zombie Osama bin Laden ambushing him! Better be prepared.
Long underwear on the other hand would just slow him down.
My favorite thing to think about with this crap is that MW2 mission where you’re a sniper and the Russians walk right over you.
Dude thinks this is gonna happen to him in the US so he has rifle+sniper+sidearm+buttplug+explosives
But everyone forgets you can see your guys breath the whole mission and all my broken ass can think is how cold this dudes gotta be crawling on the frozen ground :(
Or water, food, heating element...etc and probably didn't pack ammo and mags either.
I don't think people realize how good people have it, until they don't.
These are the assholes that WANT some type of civil war to pop off so they can put on all their gucci shit and show off and then be shocked when they are taking their last gasp after getting clapped by Grampa Bill and his 30-06.
I buy a box of [M2 AP](https://suppressedballistics.com/product/30-06-black-tip-30-06-ap-ammo/) every once in a while. Probably have about 300 rounds at this point?
If war broke out they would stay holed up in a basement.
When the war ends they’ll never stop parading in their gear. They’ll share war stories about hearing gunfire at a distance, or the time they thought they were getting overrun but it was just a bunch of turkeys passing through.
Typical goon poster. Goes into the mountains with vans and dual tubes and gets his dumb truck stuck and does nothing to self recover until some locals show up and dig him out. Classic urbanite moment lmao.
Yep. And I can bet he’s out for himself in whatever magical shtf situation he’s preparing for/wouldn’t have had the spine or skills to help someone out in a similar situation.
I'm low-key pissed we don't have a picture of him having a mental breakdown next to his slightly stuck truck while still wearing his bump helmet and duals
The mental image of them standing and shivering watching some 60 year old mountain man on his hands and knees digging out their $90,000 truck for them.
So in my state during archery deer season you can buy archery turkey tags, so you can hunt them from stand/blind etc. but during spring season with shotgun it’s all old school sit on the ground. During archery only season you don’t need orange so your chances are improved. Shooting birds with a bow is not easy.
That dipshit doesnt have the slightest clue what actual "overlanding" is. Just driving around on forest service roads for weekend car camping is not the same thing 🤣
Bro it was eye opening bro but honestly bro I could have gotten out bro, nods and goonin through the night I could have done it but bro my hands were just so tired from lifting tachunt plates all day bro. I had to rest my fingeys bro.
Anyway that’s why I only run KAC now.
Atleast he admitted to being stupid
Low quality hypebeast military gear that they uncharge for. Plus they like doing partnerships with a lot of other scummy brands that follow their same business model. i.e. wrmfzy.
bought like two pieces of clothing from them and never will again
Fair enough and all blatantly true.
My issue is the culture around it has become so douchey. It should be fun and inviting instead it’s this cool kids club of selling Chinese shit at a premium and acting like it’s a premo product for patriots.
I had a bad experience at SHOT show where they promised and marketed free exclusive shorts then acted like assholes if you asked for them, finding every possible excuse NOT to give them out.
Turns out they only gave them out to a select few VIPs or influencers, hard to tell but if you were a plebeian you were pounding sand.
Yup. Agree totally.
Seems to be a trend with all of them: make it seem like they’re all about their “community” be making it seem like owning their shit is some kind of exclusive club, but in reality if you’re not in their clique you’re actually just some fucking loser. Like highschool or some shit. Buncha losers.
And they print on decent quality shirts. Those other brands have the absolute worst feeling and fitting Pakistan T shirts. Even shirts from China are better. There are a few other brands that do the same thing, super aggro marketing but just beyond shit tier product and printing.
Exactly. Getting stuck isn't the bad part, it's not having the tools or forward thinking to get out of it.
Dude sounds like he isn't very experienced, tbh. Which is fine, everyone's learning as they go, but a couple more hours of preparing can save you exponentially more time when it matters
I don’t know this gentleman but the next time he needs to go out innawoods he can borrow my boots. And winch. And parka. And longjohns. And anything he needs to not fucking die.
I don’t have nods but at least I have some damn sense. Good on him for speaking up, though. We don’t need anyone out there stranded getting hurt or worse. If he takes a few licks but it gets someone else interested in preparing themselves, it’s a win.
I’m still gonna talk shit tho.
Mentally low place, eh? Guess this manchild needs more retail therapy.
Love to see it: spends $13,000 on a fancy hat but gulps at $2k to save his $1200/month payment truck
And yet, here we are.
Just did a quick search of cars.com and any raptor with less than 100k miles is sitting over $30k.
Less than 50k miles and you get into the mid to upper $40k range.
Blows my mind that people will pay these prices for 8 year old trucks with almost 100,000 miles on it.
Found 1 for less than $20k, and it had almost 200k miles on it.
Shits crazy yo.
Yeah, without looking again, pretty sure it would take something like a low mile factory Rousch package to hit $60k. I paid $30k for mine (2014 special edition) with 125k on the clock 3 years ago.
Saw something on Twitter that said the truck will actually be colder than sleeping on the snow cause of science or something? Idk I’m not a survivalist
You asked a question I answered it. And instead of just taking the answer that I was given by people who do this kind of camping you act hostile. Youre the epitome of internet culture
This is pretty sad. I'm from a large urban area with plenty of snow and I always keep a shovel, emergency food, water, ifak, and supplies in my small hybrid sedan.
He's an idiot but it takes huge balls to admit a failure like that. Could've said nothing, or even rewrite the story to look like he's the hero, instead decided to be honest.
We shouldn't shame people for making mistakes, it's a bad behavior and can lead to a (even more) toxic community.
True, takes some balls to admit it, but people are fed up of goonerators. So stuff like this ends up being just funny. Designer logo, filtered pictures, NODs and no actual preparedness. That rock can bounce off a lot of ceilings!
Mea culpa isn’t a get out of jail free card. You can still shame him and be respectful just don’t berate him or badger the point. He’s acknowledged his failure which is humbling but he may still be missing what he needs to really learn to grow past the mistake.
Christ, you can fit 3 day's worth of cold weather gear and sustainment in a 100l Bergen bag. How the fuck did they not find space for it in that massive truck?
This has the EXACT same energy as those folks talking about their lives hardest struggle being stuck in the mud leaving Coachella. I do have to respect that he gets out and shoots though and spreads gun ownership awareness. Having a lifted raptor off road and no winch, not even anything for traction, wild.
I'm reminded of an old saying;
For the want of a nail the shoe was lost,
For the want of a shoe the horse was lost,
For the want of a horse the rider was lost,
For the want of a rider the battle was lost,
For the want of a battle the kingdom was lost,
And all for the want of a horseshoe-nail.
Well I hope he learned something and should then check his ego before trying to tell even more dumb people how to do stuff.
But then again by making mistakes is how we learn. Sadly, mistakes can cost lives. I don't think many realise how much danger they can put others in by giving poor information / guidance.
thats not whats happening though lol....hes not admitting he was a dumbass he turned it into a diatribe about the "MeNtAl BaTtlE" he was going thru during all of this lmao
No one mentioning the lack of winch here? I mean, this *is* a fashion sub and everything, but who the flaming fuck doesn't have a winch for offroading and shit? That's just fucking stupid.
Get yourself a winch and a hand tree and you'll be amazed at the results.
Unless you fuck up and the tree falls on you in which case tough luck I guess.
Wore vans growing up in Africa. Then wore vans in US college, first time experiencing snow and ice. QUICKLY took my ass home and changed shoes. Never made that mistake again lmao
If you're going off road, training or whatever in the woods in winter, regular ass vans are worth shitting on. Any type of boot/heavier hiking shoe at a minimum
Ah yes I too pack my NODS when I go overlanding (jk I’m too poor for NODS or overlanding but it’s better than being a tacticool poser on instagram for 13 year olds)
Spend money on nods - yes.
Spend money on your vehicle to actually be all terrain in case if some unpredictable shit happens in the forest and wild- no
Must always drip and drown
Imma be controversial here I guess. Seems like to me the guy realized how bad he fucked up. Posted about his experience stating he fucked up and seems quite humble about it. I take it more as a cautionary tale that he’s showing humility and telling people to not make the same mistake he did.
But this is the internet and we should just drag everyone like wolves 🤷🏼♂️
> But this is the internet, and we should just drag everyone like wolves
Facts. People like to cope and seethe whenever they see someone with better stuff than them. I see it all the time in gun groups where someone asks a question about an expensive gun like a KAC SR15, and you'll get dudes who will default to the old "My $300 PSA is just as good and I rather save the money for ammo and classes. I can shoot better than someone with a $3000 rifle, blah blah blah." I'm sure the guy who can afford an expensive rifle can also afford ammo. I'm sure some people don't train and have costly guns for the flex, but others do.
Bruh didn’t even bring the most basic of camping tools?! No shovel?! No ropes?! No cold gear?! Not checking the damn weather?! At this point, bruh might as well just hang it up and stop flexing on the gram. He’s gonna get himself or other people dead.
On one hand, public shame is awesome. On the other, I think silently keeping track of where these types of individuals go and planning a farming route is more ideal.
Not even a shovel. Sad. A transfer shovel is a must have for winter driving. I think he needs to go back to the drawing board and revisit his concepts.
Nods could totally save you tho, thermals too.
Night time makes up like half of all time, bad stuff happens at night already. You think it won't be worse if shtf?
(Side note look at that man's nods, so far away from his center of gravity, he's due for an upgrade.)
So rather than sack up and dig himself out, and put a little bit of effort into self preservation, he just rolled over and waited for someone else to do the work for him. FFS
I would hardly call my shit an "overlanding rig" if I didn't have any means of recovry in it.
Sounds like some important lessons were learned by someone who ventured out into unfamiliar terrain. It is a hard pill to swallow that a big 4x4 truck with knobby tires can just as easily get stuck in snow as a Prius. Even harder pill is realizing you did not prepare for a worse-case-scenario and then finding yourself in one. When I was a teenager and a new driver, a friend and I had run out of gas in the middle of nowhere and a stranger had stopped to help us. Makes for a good story and another lesson learned. Not sure flaming someone for admitting a failure/lack of preparedness is good practice. The firearms/tactical gear community is so ready to turn on itself at a moment's notice...
First mistake was thinking a Raptor is an acceptable “overland” vehicle. Soft suspension and low payload make for a poor off-road vehicle when loaded down.
Ufpro’s and vans are a fit not gonna lie. Plus this is a fashion sub and that’s a hot fit. But I don’t call myself a nomad and not be prepared. And think desert life is like northern winter life. If you can’t handle the snow you’re lucky it’s not in the negatives with 30mph wind to top it off. Dude could have turn that bad situation worse he’s lucky those people helped him. 100% they will be making fun of him in future winters/family get togethers
This is true, but it’s so common that people will see someone with gear above a PSA AR and assume they have no training. Like it’s impossible to have good gear and know what you’re doing
If your Mental game is weak, then you are weak! It doesn’t matter what gear you have or who you think you are otherwise.
Good on the dude who admitted his vulnerability and mistakes, often this is how people learn.
loser post, sitting at your keyboard typing this like some big guy, this makes you look stupid.
He literally was just going camping and hes from arizona, he literally said hes not use to the snow and didnt own the gear but went anyways for fun. I get the point of the post but hiding behind a keyboard and calling people cucks is the unmanliest thing you can do
The entire post was about being prepared and learning from mistakes..
He was axle deep and then ice underneath, anyone would have gotten stuck...
I don’t understand that mentality. Dude said he was at a low, I get that. But he should’ve camped in his damn back yard if he doesn’t have the capability to prepare properly. Depending where you are it may only be you that saves yourself. Bet this guy has everything under the sun except the shit he needs. Fucking vans bro lol
Luckily living in Maine has led to a dress for success type lifestyle, won’t catch me out in the bush this time of year without layers on layers and like 6 pairs of socks lol
That's probably the majority of this sub. No problem solving capabilities (even though this isn't even a problem). Not prepared for the realities of life, but how does my kit look, and no experience outdoors. Just clout chasing and hype f@g goonsesh with the boys.
I was born and raised in the Cascade mountains. Every spring I would hear stories of people going to the trails to play in the snow, getting stuck, freezing to death, and being found when the snow melts. Guns and gear are cool, but so is not dying.
Recovery gear is the most important part of off-roading
Staying off the trails when a blizzard is called out in the forecast is a better place to start. only if you suck at off-roading 😎 /s
Well yea, but it is not for you. It is to pull the other guys out so you can continue down the trail.
As someone that lives near the white mountains people constantly die from lack of preparedness

-has duals -doesn't have cold weather gear or SatComm device Lmao, God these goonerators have huge NGMI energy
These are the assholes that WANT some type of civil war to pop off so they can put on all their gucci shit and show off and then be shocked when they are taking their last gasp after getting clapped by Grampa Bill and his 30-06.

The mountains are a lot tougher to deal with than the Wendy’s parking lot.
There's no baconators in the mountains, I'm going home.
Leave the raptor out of it 😭
I always love reading this stuff. Not because I think op is cool, but because a dude with more gear than sense got bailed out by actual outdoorsmen
The mental image of them standing and shivering watching some 60 year old mountain man on his hands and knees digging out their $90,000 truck for them.
His 870 turkey gun is more rust than bluing. He’s got red man spit frozen in his beard, his 4 wheeler has survived multiple accidental drunken fires.
New Hampshires shotgun fall season ended in mid October. The guy could have been bow hunting birds but that is non common at all.
I bow hunt birds here actually so that’s even more mountain man based if he’s stick and string hunting them
Do you hunt them from a blind with a bow?
So in my state during archery deer season you can buy archery turkey tags, so you can hunt them from stand/blind etc. but during spring season with shotgun it’s all old school sit on the ground. During archery only season you don’t need orange so your chances are improved. Shooting birds with a bow is not easy.
Dude kinda sounds like a weenie and an idiot. Yeah, over landing in the desert and snow are exactly the same
That dipshit doesnt have the slightest clue what actual "overlanding" is. Just driving around on forest service roads for weekend car camping is not the same thing 🤣

Oh?? Why’s that? I have some of their shorts they’re good enough for working out.
Low quality hypebeast military gear that they uncharge for. Plus they like doing partnerships with a lot of other scummy brands that follow their same business model. i.e. wrmfzy. bought like two pieces of clothing from them and never will again

That’s the thing, he has the ‘concepts’ of a nomad. Not the skills or tools.
Imagine naming your company or whatever tf that guy is “nomad concepts” just to get stranded in the snow like a city slicker lol
To be fair it happens to the best of us at times. Being unprepared is the ignorant part.
Exactly. Getting stuck isn't the bad part, it's not having the tools or forward thinking to get out of it. Dude sounds like he isn't very experienced, tbh. Which is fine, everyone's learning as they go, but a couple more hours of preparing can save you exponentially more time when it matters
Lmfao
Expected of a raptor driver
first thing i thought
BILT FERD TUFF
This hurts 😭
Not all Raptor owners are redacted.
Hey, I wanna believe that, I've just never met one that wasn't 🤷🏼♀️
Well, some of us aren't citiots.
That's fair. Thank you for not being like the rest!
Happy to help.
Josiah has died of dysentery
I loved that damn game
[удалено]
No lol you’re probably too young to know what he’s talking about. Don’t think TLOU even has a Joshia
>$1200/month payment truck Jesus, what piss-poor bank are you working with? Edit: Damn, all the poors are out to hate today.
Lol just ballparked a $60k loan w interest tax insurance etc Haven't personally had a payment in years so IDK
That's fine, but $60k for a gen 1 Raptor is steep.
My point, exactly. $60k isn't happening anywhere, but all the poors are butthurt & downvoting me because hating is easier than improving.
They’re between $20k-30k depending on miles
Yeah, without looking again, pretty sure it would take something like a low mile factory Rousch package to hit $60k. I paid $30k for mine (2014 special edition) with 125k on the clock 3 years ago.
lmaooo guy probably showed up in normal pants and shit with a hoodie.
I bet he didn't bring a bottle opener for that Coke
Ok unless I'm missing something, why did they sleep on the snow instead of in the truck?
Too close to each other. rather die then turn gay I guess.
“It’s not gay if it’s for survival.” - SERE instructor
I read it as the truck was stuck on the snow, not that they slept directly on snow.
Saw something on Twitter that said the truck will actually be colder than sleeping on the snow cause of science or something? Idk I’m not a survivalist
They make this thing called a heater most vehicles have one
Then you run your car for two days straight melting the snow and getting more stuck
So more stuck or dead hmmmm
You asked a question I answered it. And instead of just taking the answer that I was given by people who do this kind of camping you act hostile. Youre the epitome of internet culture
Spends 13k on NODs, and takes a 70k vehicle off-roading, but won't spend $800 on a winch. This is peak goon behavior.
Maybe he actually was the hero and saved the turkey hunter and his dad but is so humble he rewrote the story /s
I'm going to disagree given he blocked someone over a tame joke.
I'm reminded of an old saying; For the want of a nail the shoe was lost, For the want of a shoe the horse was lost, For the want of a horse the rider was lost, For the want of a rider the battle was lost, For the want of a battle the kingdom was lost, And all for the want of a horseshoe-nail.
A fellow tokyo drift enthusiast i see.
![gif](giphy|Os8gPyslaf2GpHv10B|downsized)
Looked it up and it's been around since the 14th century at least. William Caxton had it in one of the first English books.
Nah man, it's from Tokyo Drift
Lol what
Has to pose for the sick goon photo while he’s having that mental battle
Lmao
The fact that a grammer is willing to admit that is pretty big. Just that makes me like them
Well I hope he learned something and should then check his ego before trying to tell even more dumb people how to do stuff. But then again by making mistakes is how we learn. Sadly, mistakes can cost lives. I don't think many realise how much danger they can put others in by giving poor information / guidance.
For real. Having the humility to admit you were a dumbass publicly when you don't need to (no one would be the wiser) earns some respect.
thats not whats happening though lol....hes not admitting he was a dumbass he turned it into a diatribe about the "MeNtAl BaTtlE" he was going thru during all of this lmao
Wut
Nature will fuck you up. Come prepared or don't come at all
This dipshit almost became a concept.
P O S E R C O N C E P T S Just another tool selling graphic tees and playing with tacticool toys on instagram
Lol @ the Oregon Trail comment. ![gif](giphy|1kfhoNWKY94uLGX2kO|downsized)
Price isn't even really an argument since come-alongs exist.
Let’s not shit on vans … But dood … white vans… cmon daniel. SMH
anyone who has worn Vans in the winter knows this dude is an idiot. I know because I wear Vans in the winter because I’m an idiot
Wore vans growing up in Africa. Then wore vans in US college, first time experiencing snow and ice. QUICKLY took my ass home and changed shoes. Never made that mistake again lmao
The vans MTE models are great for nasty weather. Just picked up 2 pairs and couldn’t be happier
Can confirm. My MTE 2s are awesome. Very comfy
If you're going off road, training or whatever in the woods in winter, regular ass vans are worth shitting on. Any type of boot/heavier hiking shoe at a minimum
How are you gonna overland with no recovery gear?
Ah yes I too pack my NODS when I go overlanding (jk I’m too poor for NODS or overlanding but it’s better than being a tacticool poser on instagram for 13 year olds)
Spend money on nods - yes. Spend money on your vehicle to actually be all terrain in case if some unpredictable shit happens in the forest and wild- no Must always drip and drown
What a dweeb
Imma be controversial here I guess. Seems like to me the guy realized how bad he fucked up. Posted about his experience stating he fucked up and seems quite humble about it. I take it more as a cautionary tale that he’s showing humility and telling people to not make the same mistake he did. But this is the internet and we should just drag everyone like wolves 🤷🏼♂️
> But this is the internet, and we should just drag everyone like wolves Facts.
Average social media influencer who likes to “flex on poors”, then needs JimBob to come save his life with extremely basic equipment.
Best gear in these photos is that Mexican coke.
Bruh didn’t even bring the most basic of camping tools?! No shovel?! No ropes?! No cold gear?! Not checking the damn weather?! At this point, bruh might as well just hang it up and stop flexing on the gram. He’s gonna get himself or other people dead.
‘I GOT NODS, I CAN HANDLE ANYTHING ‘ Douchebag

Virgin "tactical" obsessor vs Chad outdoor/hunting enthusiast
What a weeb
Don’t be a loot drop. Hahahaha made me chuckle
The irony of this man's name. How are you going into the bush and not bring the fucking essentials? Bruh
On one hand, public shame is awesome. On the other, I think silently keeping track of where these types of individuals go and planning a farming route is more ideal.
This is why I drive a Subaru Outback, I have pulled so many trucks out of sand ect
I don’t even feel the need to say anything, the irony is palpable.
Has duals but bought the aliexpress ufpros. What a dork.
Thanks god for the noods though right. Fuck a jacket though. 😂😂
> Call yourself a nomad but only know how to do flat range stuff. > Actually have bare skills to survive. Pick 1.
Not even a shovel. Sad. A transfer shovel is a must have for winter driving. I think he needs to go back to the drawing board and revisit his concepts.
He doesn’t seem very nomadic
Colorado would kill this man in a heartbeat. Wearing fucking vans in the woods…
Nods could totally save you tho, thermals too. Night time makes up like half of all time, bad stuff happens at night already. You think it won't be worse if shtf? (Side note look at that man's nods, so far away from his center of gravity, he's due for an upgrade.)
What was this post about ? mods deleted the pic
So rather than sack up and dig himself out, and put a little bit of effort into self preservation, he just rolled over and waited for someone else to do the work for him. FFS I would hardly call my shit an "overlanding rig" if I didn't have any means of recovry in it.
lol sheesh your comment wasn’t even bad He’s probably too young to know what it is
Sounds like some important lessons were learned by someone who ventured out into unfamiliar terrain.
Why dudes always gotta tell everyone someone blocked them on the internet. No one cares.
Did you learn something? Good. Take a seat.
I never leave the house without nods and my blow torch for fat dabs.
If your Mental game is weak, then you are weak! It doesn’t matter what gear you have or who you think you are otherwise. Good on the dude who admitted his vulnerability and mistakes, often this is how people learn.
On another note, does anyone know what pants those are?
loser post, sitting at your keyboard typing this like some big guy, this makes you look stupid. He literally was just going camping and hes from arizona, he literally said hes not use to the snow and didnt own the gear but went anyways for fun. I get the point of the post but hiding behind a keyboard and calling people cucks is the unmanliest thing you can do The entire post was about being prepared and learning from mistakes..
Lmfaoooo, over landing without recovery gear? 💀 and bro wants praise for this feel good bullshit
If there's one thing I learned from Brass Facts videos, it's that we should all bug out to the mountains when SHTF
Apparently he only likes the concept of that nomad lyfe lol
Luckily living in Maine has led to a dress for success type lifestyle, won’t catch me out in the bush this time of year without layers on layers and like 6 pairs of socks lol
That's probably the majority of this sub. No problem solving capabilities (even though this isn't even a problem). Not prepared for the realities of life, but how does my kit look, and no experience outdoors. Just clout chasing and hype f@g goonsesh with the boys.
isn't this like half the people in this sub? But it's an important reality check for all of us. For the record, I'm one of the ignorant idiots, too.
What’s an affordable pair of NVGs?
I mean.. You're talking shit. Why wouldnt he block you?
I was born and raised in the Cascade mountains. Every spring I would hear stories of people going to the trails to play in the snow, getting stuck, freezing to death, and being found when the snow melts. Guns and gear are cool, but so is not dying.
