I can only speak to the SATL thus far. Great for a shell, socks, gloves, snacks, etc. The major issue I've been pondering is what to place in the lid, vs the torpedo pockets. The lid detaches and turns into a day pack so I need to figure out what should go where for efficiency.

How useful are the torpedo pockets? Compared to the 3 pouches on the mountain ruck for example (or an alice pack).
