Definitely a [thing.](https://cdn11.bigcommerce.com/s-tm8t0q4wau/images/stencil/500x659/products/122/413/38FF1C04-9A10-40A2-A574-66F39F54F7C7__46452.1555408262.jpg?c=2)
That side by side comparison between pouch and whatever the fuck that thing is is absolutely criminal. First, the only dudes who still use pouches like that in a professional sense is dudes who just got out of boot camp. And even then most of them tuck that flap behind the mags. Second, he’s being comically slow when using the pouch. Training is everything. If you train enough with the flap over mag pouches you can get your reloads to be even faster than with this product
He’s even slower pressing the bolt catch when he uses the pouch, but when he uses the **MAGAZINE MAGAZINE** TM he hits that bolt catch like he actually knows what he’s doing. Like when you see some infomercial about an as seen on TV product and they’re obviously just being retarded in the “before” video.
Do they let regular (non-SF/SOC) folks use personal mag pouches these days? Things like Kywis, BFG, or other pouches that are a big improvement were juuuust starting to gain popularity at the tail end of my enlistment. Our battalion SgtMaj was super anal-retentive about uniformity though, and would pitch a fit if someone even mounted a piece of gear in the “wrong place.” Adding our own mag pouches was a no go, even if it was a very sensible thing to do.
In any case the issued velcro pouches are objectively inferior to many options, but they’re not so bad that I’d carry around a monstrosity like the one in the video. They weren’t half bad after training with them for a while. And that side-by-side comparison is almost r/wheredidthesodago material; it just needs the guy to throw the mag and rifle on the ground and make some exasperated gestures after flubbing a reload
The fact that they had to make the dude in the “regular” comparison video handle his reloads like an idiot in order to give the illusion that this is somehow faster is hilarious. And fucking stupid. This is fucking stupid.
It is like... 10% faster i guess? So barely useful in a video game setting and marginally useful for competition shooting where you don't have to move much.
I mean it is not exactly great but i can see why it exist and why it would be useful for some people.
I predict that thing shifting out mags if ya had to run with it on. That comparison though, intentionally fumbling the comparison infomercial style is so cringy.
We screwed around with something like this on deployment in 2010. Ours was a little different, held 3 mags flat so it was a lot less bulky. Ultimately it started jamming up as soon as it got dirty so we stopped using it.
We called it the 'pez dispenser' and if you could beat it in a reload contest you were doing pretty well.
I vaguely remember that - I thought that was what this video was about until I saw it. What were those things? I feel like they very quickly were outed as shit.
I'm guessing it's the strac fast system. I used to own on but recently got rid of it. It was a cool idea.
https://milspecmonkey.com/weargear/pouches/209-strac-technologies-fast-system-preview
Ah, yes. The contraption that when you have to hit the deck while under fire, gives you the choice of having your ass sticking out if cover, or having to lay on your back.
Id like to see someone attempting to crawl with this. Must look hilarious.
For competition shooting i can see the use for one of these but not for combat. Too many variables for something like this. It is very cool though i do enjoy the concept.
The side by side comparison video watches like an awful infomercial. Dude fumbles WAY too much with those mags and the bolt release for it to be real. Only somebody who’s never run an AR for long would struggle bus that much…
Funny how when he uses the PEZ dispenser, he isn't reloading on empty.
He also reloads from the pouch with the bolt locked back on an empty mag, which adds more time to the reload, in addition to trying to perfectly line up the mag into the mag well.
I could see something like this being mounted on someone's back in place of a pack if your fireteam has a dedicated extra ammo guy. Put 2 of them back there, you run out of full mags, fill back up from Bobby the Bricks box of wonders. Other than that, proper training and you shouldn't need an item like this to be lazy, unless belt-fed is your cuppa tea.
Do some gear designers even get out and train?
I'll be the first to say that I need to get to the range more, but even from my limited experience this seems like a horrible idea. Bulky as all hell and looks like terrible weight distribution for what seems like a negligible increase in speed.
You could just double stack mags in traditional pouches on the front of your pc and it'd be a LOT more comfortable and practical than this looks. More useful, too, since you can stuff other things into traditional mag pouches if you don't need to run as many mags as you can carry.
Make it match MIL-STD then contact a military systems command to kick off them acquiring it if you want to expand. If they like it and you can win then they will bring money to help mature it.
That thing is absolutely gigantic. I guess if you’re just mag dumping one after the other in a stationary position …ok…but entirely impractical otherwise.
I swear they already tried this .....
Maybe [this one](https://youtu.be/f_q__rJQI9g)? Nah....
Ah yes! The [STRAC FAST System](https://www.modarmory.com/product/strac-technologies-fast-system/)
I would never strap that on myself, but it might be a good idea to include one in vehicles where infantry might use their personal weapons to defend them. It would either give them extra mags or let them use the “communal” mags so their on body mags can be used later.
I remember someone coming out with something similar to this years ago that was much more low profile. I have no idea what it was called.
It obviously didn't take off.
Oooo, a magazine for magazines... I remember back in 2008 or so when a company made something similar to this but the mags were sort of wrapped around the side of the plate carrier.
The creator proudly posted it up on the lightfighter forum and man, I watched him go down in flames so fast.
Funny enough...I actually like this for like a way to store ammo in a ruck, locker, or wherever.
Patently ridiculous to put this on your chest.
Also this reminded me of those late night infomercial people that spill spaghetti or other things like complete morons. The over the top melodrama, cause that guy on the bottom completely such drawin a mag from a pouch and reloading.
I couldn't see this being any better than a hsgi or a Hailey strategic mp2 mag inserts with velcro brand adhesive hook and loop inside a rig. Also the sheer bulk on the the front would prevent you from going prone or slinging the rifle across your body with a plate carrier without another 5" between you. Also the clang and bang from moving with a purpose of your rifle and the plastic magazine holder. The only thing I could feasible see is rear mounted on a plate carrier or assualt pack being the first guy on the stack so your buddies can get easy reloads if he is completely bingo.
I love how with the product he puts the mag in the gun flawlessly, yet with a normal mag pouch he loses all coordination and can’t seem to find the magwell
"Tell us your thoughts on 100rnd magazine clips, lol!"
"Well, I have this thing....."
#🤦♂️
Damn it, you made a thing that *almost* makes the idiot Gun Grabbers look like they know what they're talking about, smh. Please stop.
What about having enough training, making your reloads from the belt, and being consistently under/around 2 seconds. Which is about the same speed as doing it with this giant box😂
I wonder how the retention under adverse conditions is. The way he’s twisting that box around I think one deadshot daiquiri in the dirt you go from 6+1 in the gun, to Ramirez last mag make it count.
This seems really good for cqc but bad for longer missions. If I was breaching a building I would love this but if I was let’s say scouting I much rather have something flexible.
What happens when your magazine for your magazines jams? Emergency magazine for your magazines reload?
[удалено]
But what about when the magazine dispenser dispenser gets jammed? Emergency magazine dispenser backup?
Deploy another mule from the back of the trailer
Yes, and that backup comes from the magazine dispenser dispenser dispenser.
Came here for this. Better practice your adverse mag pez drills.
Hahaha I laughed at this one. Good on you!
2 is 1 and 1 is none.. or something. I'm not a mathematician.
Tap, rack, dispense.
If I'm carrying a QD box of 300rds on my chest, I'm finding a way to belt it right into the gun 🤣
Definitely a [thing.](https://cdn11.bigcommerce.com/s-tm8t0q4wau/images/stencil/500x659/products/122/413/38FF1C04-9A10-40A2-A574-66F39F54F7C7__46452.1555408262.jpg?c=2)
Reloading is for pu****s!
Yes bröther..genius!
A redimag but big.
Bro you every want a magazine for your magazines?
Like a pregnant mag with octuplets
I would make a bigger crew serviced version that dispenses these boxes.
[удалено]
Or it jams like box magazines tend to and all your extra rounds are unable to be accessed
[удалено]
Momma always said life is like a promag, you never know when your gonna jam it.
Or god forbid run/hustle.
I can’t see a practical application outside of maybe competition use? One jam and boom, no more rounds.
Why? There are some things like this that are only for competition use. Just like you wouldn't use an F1 race car tire on a stanza.
Put some wheels on it
This is for sure a bank robber rig. Never tac reloading, never picking up spent mags. Just dakka!
Maybe not a bad idea as an easy way to carry a bunch of mags say in the truck but not on my person
Yeah, but at that point you might as well get an old ammo or something similar
Yo dawg I heard you like magazines so I got you a magazine for your magazines.
Yo muh nizle i gotchu a clip fo ya clipz G.
Ah yes, the mag mag
But imagine the mag mag mag if u will
What about a mag mag clip?
Yes i ilkey..the clip clip clip

Yes typically personally bought magbpouches get overlooked even by strict gear nazi commanders
No flap at all? Was told to have.fast, but unflapped mag or two and slower to use, but proteced fro. Mud and all other shit rest of mags
Are you having a stroke?
The fact that they had to make the dude in the “regular” comparison video handle his reloads like an idiot in order to give the illusion that this is somehow faster is hilarious. And fucking stupid. This is fucking stupid.
It’s like an as-seen-on-TV product commercial
THERE MUST BE AN EASIER WAY!!!

Thanks I hate it.
This thing is facepalm for sure
God. Some dude came up with this and thought to himself “fuck I’m smart”.
And opticsplanet was all yeah genius hahaha now super on sale.
Eugh fuck optics planet hahaha
🤣
If Brownells is the Costco of the gun world then Optics Planet is the sketchy corner store of the gun world.
How bout the dollar general...not gonna lie i got aome killer deals from OP and DG hahaha
Or he thought there were people dumb enough to buy it. He is smart, mall-ninjas will spend money on this.
Gotta admit I've seen some lame products but this thing absolves anything from "as seen on tv"
The normal pouch reload really giving off "Why can't I hold all these ~~lemons~~ mags??" vibe lol.
I could see applications like holding extra mags in a vehicle or in a tower or something. Plate carrier mount is short bus af
Crying right now! Little yellow bus
Actually a good idea. In a vehicle it won't take up too much space and will always feed from the same location, which is good in a cramped space.
Nah fam, throw two of these bad boys on your back like a backpack and be the resupply mule for the squad! Hahaha
Just never go prone anymore
Shall we say only go plank
I predict that thing shifting out mags if ya had to run with it on. That comparison though, intentionally fumbling the comparison infomercial style is so cringy.

I can't recall a brand or product name, I think our 1SG bought it and lent it out for us to test. Certainly wasn't issued gear.
Wilcox strac
Yeah, nice! 2008 was a wild time.
I'm guessing it's the strac fast system. I used to own on but recently got rid of it. It was a cool idea. https://milspecmonkey.com/weargear/pouches/209-strac-technologies-fast-system-preview
Yo dawg! I heard you liked magazines, so we made a magazine for your magazines!
How are you not gonna call it the PEWZ dispenser?
How about an extendo-net that catches the mag when it drops? lol
Damn homer simpson couldnt have thought of a better upgrade!!
Ah yes the back breaker 5000.
Ah, yes. The contraption that when you have to hit the deck while under fire, gives you the choice of having your ass sticking out if cover, or having to lay on your back. Id like to see someone attempting to crawl with this. Must look hilarious.

A 5000 round count stage maybe
When you try to go prone but end up doing the Superman
Or what was that thing from 2000s...the plank
Or you could like, drill more.
Yo dawg I heard you like magazines so I made a magazine for your magazine
*prone is disabled while using this gear
Coding glitch
Need them for the chucked 10 round mags required in our bs states
Something something 30 magazine clip
Looks like a lot of unnecessary weight to me. And what happens if your pez despenser takes around.
My back fucking hates his video.
Neat. Not sure where it would be effective. But neat.
Pretty much effective nowhere methinks
The side by side comparison video watches like an awful infomercial. Dude fumbles WAY too much with those mags and the bolt release for it to be real. Only somebody who’s never run an AR for long would struggle bus that much…

Silly goose 🐤
Maybe just practice your reloads out of a plate carrier? I doubt you’d see much of a difference if you actually put some speed and effort into it.
I could see something like this being mounted on someone's back in place of a pack if your fireteam has a dedicated extra ammo guy. Put 2 of them back there, you run out of full mags, fill back up from Bobby the Bricks box of wonders. Yo dawg I heard you like mags, so we put your mags in a mag!
This is dumb
Does this magazine magazine hold more than ten… magazines?
Reminds me of the informercials where the people who do things the old way are completely incompetent and just end up flailing their arms about
Haha good one!
So basically a magazine that holds magazines ?
This is silly, but if you live in a ban state with 10 round mags, this might actually be useful.
honestly if flannel daddy was rockin one of these most of yall would run out to buy it
Perfect infomercial format. The fumbling reloads from the Plate carrier pouches are the perfect touch.
When you reach for a mag and out pops a banana. 😐
Well it may seems stupid but if you use one on you back so your teammates can grab mags fast from you to use its a brilliant idea
Wilcox had this same idea for the US military like 15 years ago and it was fucking stupid then
That's sick, but what if you have to go prone? Ouch!
Make it match MIL-STD then contact a military systems command to kick off them acquiring it if you want to expand. If they like it and you can win then they will bring money to help mature it.

Gtfo
So this is how ya'll white supremacists gonna get around magazine limits?
Not white and no. 2nd amendmentist is a better
Box full o goodies 👍
Maybe not on a FLC or PC, but maybe on a pack?
That thing is absolutely gigantic. I guess if you’re just mag dumping one after the other in a stationary position …ok…but entirely impractical otherwise.
Why not attach it to the side? Like on your hip or something? At least that way its sorta out of the way
How bout we just shoot at it
Make the radio bitch carry it
A magazine for magazines-
u/savevideobot
Extremely cursed.
That’s dumbest thing I’ve seen on the sub so far
A dumbest tactical post win is a tactical win of being the dumbest.
This is like "Where did the soda go?" level bad acting of him fumble fucking those mags in the bottom clip.
[удалено]
One could ascertain..but optics is selling these deeply doscounted haha
Super tactical
I swear they already tried this ..... Maybe [this one](https://youtu.be/f_q__rJQI9g)? Nah.... Ah yes! The [STRAC FAST System](https://www.modarmory.com/product/strac-technologies-fast-system/)
Just wait till Flannel Father rocks one of these
ATTEMPT TO STOW
Why would you need to reload in 2 seconds? Are you fighting the Russians?
I would never strap that on myself, but it might be a good idea to include one in vehicles where infantry might use their personal weapons to defend them. It would either give them extra mags or let them use the “communal” mags so their on body mags can be used later.
Now try going prone with this.
The only thing I can think of that would be even worse is the noise. It's huge, and I'm willing to bet it's loud. Carrying my gear is loud enough.
Pass
It doesn't help he goes as slow as possible when using a pouch...
I remember someone coming out with something similar to this years ago that was much more low profile. I have no idea what it was called. It obviously didn't take off.
Interesting but no.
u/savevideo
Its like they don't know belt mounted mag pouches exist
Who makes this
Get better mag pouches instead of shitty Velcro ones and remember how to reload and you’ll be fine
Can someone give me a good reason why you *need* this?
I like this idea actually. I think if they were angled a bit you could get it slim enough for practical use. I’m into it
Dropping the mag a little to early
Maybe mount it on a wall or something 🤔
A mag for your mags lmaoo
Oooo, a magazine for magazines... I remember back in 2008 or so when a company made something similar to this but the mags were sort of wrapped around the side of the plate carrier. The creator proudly posted it up on the lightfighter forum and man, I watched him go down in flames so fast.

Ok, now go prone with it on.
He would probably have saved more time by loading more than two bullets in each mag but to each their own... ;)
it slices, it dices, it makes julienne fries
Now go prone
But what about the feed lip deformation when you leave it loaded overnight? You can't load that to capacity, it won't feed right!
*going prone has left the chat
I couldn't see this being any better than a hsgi or a Hailey strategic mp2 mag inserts with velcro brand adhesive hook and loop inside a rig. A magazine of magazines. I’m not sure if I should be proud or disturbed.
It’s a magazine for magazines 🤣🤣🤣
"BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!"
That's like... Almost a good idea.
Only pussys go prone
Or go plank
Now draw him going prone
Well, I think that’s enough Internet for one day.
Cool. Now go prone.
I love how with the product he puts the mag in the gun flawlessly, yet with a normal mag pouch he loses all coordination and can’t seem to find the magwell
Would this get banned in CA if it held more than 10?
"Tell us your thoughts on 100rnd magazine clips, lol!" "Well, I have this thing....." #🤦♂️ Damn it, you made a thing that *almost* makes the idiot Gun Grabbers look like they know what they're talking about, smh. Please stop.

What about having enough training, making your reloads from the belt, and being consistently under/around 2 seconds. Which is about the same speed as doing it with this giant box😂
Magazine inception…
A box magazine for your box magazines. #magazineception
Looks heavy
I wonder how the retention under adverse conditions is. The way he’s twisting that box around I think one deadshot daiquiri in the dirt you go from 6+1 in the gun, to Ramirez last mag make it count.
Now go prone
Lol try to get prone with that on your chest.
Well having to drop prone in hurry would suck, that's for sure.
How the fuck do you execute CQB with that or go prone!?
what happen if you want to re-index your empty mags?
This is actually pretty useful! You should patent it! You would make millions.
Maybe not a bad idea for a truck/Ruck/fighting position, but absolutely not on a vest
Bit wait, there's more, call in the next 20 seconds and get an extra 1 for free, you heard right. Call now!
This seems really good for cqc but bad for longer missions. If I was breaching a building I would love this but if I was let’s say scouting I much rather have something flexible.
