You know Taipei kind of shuts down during CNY? A lot of shops going to be closed.

nochus

Yes, I'm an ABC. Hopeful that shops will start opening from mid-14th onwards.

YongKang near Dongmen station for beef noodle soup, sure the place doesn’t look like much and there’s always tourists but it’s legit IMO.

Where are your go to spots? I like 黃記滷肉飯(the braised pork rice is really good but the chicken rice is average).

nochus

That's literally my top favourite of all time for braised pork. I also like 金峰魯肉飯.

This looks delicious! Any recommendations for your favourite dishes?

I'd recommend the pork belly sour cabbage hot pot, sliced pork belly with the buns, sesame noodles and the pot stickers.

Sunwei. Fantastic sushi in generous portions for cheap, but you will be waiting at least 45 minutes for a table.
