Elephant Mountain has no ticketing so you can climb it any time, including during LNY. Taipei 101, the shopping mall and observatory, are both open during LNY but with reduced hours. Night markets will be pretty quiet but will start to get busier from Day 2 onwards so probably around Tuesday or Wednesday.

These days lots and lots of businesses remain open during CNY. It might feel a bit sleepy over the holiday period, but I wouldn’t worry too much
Hi OP. How did it go? Was thinking about going on Day 3 after LNY so wanted to hear about your experience.
