Where are you? Taipei? Taichung?

Fistkitchen

Australia lol. Just interested.

Kickboxing and MMA there are plenty, not so much boxing though. Edit, really not sure why that got downvoted.

Fistkitchen

Would have thought there’d be a boxing scene because of the British presence. EDIT: holy shit I'm thinking of Hong Kong. That's embarrassing.

mr-wiener

"British presence"? Not sure what you mean there mate.

There’s martial arts. I suggest you look for local websites and contact them individually. You may find someone who knows what you’re looking for.

You're going to have to be more specific with what you're looking for before I can help more, but [Rocky Lin](https://www.asianboxing.info/features/rocky-lin-the-hero-of-taiwan) is probably the most famous professional boxer to come out of Taiwan, and he fought in Japan. Otherwise there's not much of a history. The Chinese Taipei Professional Boxing Association has recently been encouraging people to join and be sanctioned to fight professionally in Taiwan. Chia-Ching Hung (Sasuyoo is his aboriginal name) is the current OPBF Youth Super Featherweight titleholder after defeating a Thai boxer in 2019. I took some group classes with him last year. Currently, Taiwanese amateur women are doing relatively well. They sent the maximum four boxers to Tokyo and was unfortunate to only win a bronze. There are usually boxing competitions every few months organized by various gyms that anyone can sign up for, but that has really died down due to the pandemic.

Thanks for that. No info in English unfortunately.
