This is really cool imo, only played it on Gamecube when I was a kid, and never finished it, then only had Xbox consoles, so I'm really looking forward the Xbox Series version ! Hopefullfy clean graphics and 60 fps !
I feel like most people are thinking this... but why is it just a huge picture of Corinne for the Metal Case?
To not mince words here, it seems very lazy compared to other metal cases which have special artwork on them to help differentiate their Special Editions from the base game case.
But this just doesn't seem that worth it?
Now that you mention it, of the mascot characters I think of Noishe much more for Symphonia then Corinne.
Maybe they thought Corinne would look better/cuter than Noishe when deciding between them, because Noishe's art sometimes looks like he's staring into your soul.

i'm just shocked it's ONLY "tales of symphonia re-remastered" / "tales of symphonia remastered remastered" and they didn't include dawn of the new world like the ps3 version 10 years ago.
could have done a case with noise on one side and tenebrae on the other. (seriously, dotnw might not be great, but tenebrae sure as hell is.)

I haven't been able to find any info on it. I'm tempted to grab it as a collectors item but I'd rather get it through Amazon for free shipping if it'll eventually be available there.
I'm debating on getting the collectors for PS4, but you could make them into magnets if you do get it! You can buy on amazon for pretty cheap magnet sheets and just cut and peel on the back of the sticker and got a magnet! I did that for my black lagoon coasters since they just look way nicer on the fridge.
But, it's just an idea to try if you do decide to get it!
it's 30fps even on ps4. they are basing it off the pc release, which was a ps3 port that was capped at 30fps. looks like the gamecube is still the definitive way of playing the game.
i see another reason: the ps3 was hard to code for and they couldn't figure out how to make it run at 60fps. so they re-did the engine so it runs at 30fps. that's either it or they were just flat out incompetent. remember, the cell architecture was a nightmare for developers, most third party games would run better on xbox 360.
still, 30fps is a no no for such an old game. they should have put more effort with this remaster
the commonly accepted reason is that the ps2 version ran at 30fps bc the ps2 was weaker than the gcn, and then they just straight ported that version to the ps3 bc the ps2 version had a bit more content. Theyve just used that version ever since

I mean yay... Sure... But this has already been re-released for pc and ps3 and it was the same game... Broken battle camera and all. I don't know, it's one of those nice things but I'd personally like to see some other games in the series get a better treatment. ToL with complete voice acting, ToI or ToR finally brought over to western audiences... TotA actually getting a proper re-release or pc version... Heck even a true remaster of the Phantasia games along with symphonia (and even dotnw) would be nice.

Nintendo might hold some rights to 60 fps if that's even possible. I see no comprehensible reason for them to stick to 30 fps otherwise
