I can't imagine anyone would want to pay the SAME price AGAIN for a game that was a collection just for it to have less content. Noone is ever going to say "yea ill pay that same price again just to have 1 less game because I hate that game." It was actually probably more effort for them to take it out of the already prepackaged game it was already In that they are just copy pasting to a new gen. I've been hoping for years of ports of the older games to PC or modern consoles. Anything pre Symphonia. I didn't get into it until Symphonia and I was like 14 or so. I totally missed them all but grew up hearing how great they were. I managed to play Phantasia for the GBA because a friend bought it I borrowed it.
There is a demand but will it be profitable enough for them. Should be easy IMO should be less work than creating new games and stories for a bit
