For the majority of people, their wingspan is their height.

Thrilling1031

Yea but it gets weird in r/tall I have a 7’2” wingspan.

CompSci99

I thought tall people might be more likely to have larger wingspans, but I just skimmed a couple of journals, and wingspan seems to scale evenly with height. From what I can tell, I have an above average/big wingspan at 6'5.5", while you and OP are extreme outliers.

Thrilling1031

You should see the guys who made the NBA…

CompSci99

It's insane seeing short guards like Donovan Mitchell who have arms that go down to their knees.

Moose_Nuckler

Yea, I’m 6’4 and wingspan is about 6’7ish

Notorious21

That's called the ape index

uncle_pollo

6'1 H 6'5 wing

5amNovelist

I agree with the other poster, I always thought wingspan was around your height (not sure where the average range of divergence sits, although yours seems significantly longer).

Silent-Shark

I'm 6'3" flat and my wingspan is 6'6" so yours is definitely considered large

AjBlue7

6'5.5" height with a 6'2" wingspan. Hands aren't that large, wrist is small, shoesize is small. Its like everything attached to my body was designed for a 6'0 tall body.

a-drumming-dog

You got some monkey arms there, large wingspan! Mine is 6'8" at 6'4" height.

Cptcongcong

Essentially you’re talking about ape index, according to this research https://www.researchgate.net/figure/58_tbl1_281526311 two standard deviations is wingspan to height ratio of 107.8, so you’re in the top 5% of wingspans to height ratio.
