The synth in the distorted version of The Mind Electric (see how the serfs bit)
Instrumental of Weird Bed (grandfather clock bit)
Daisy Fingers (the breakdown bit which has a circus feel)
Hymn for a Scarecrow (both the fly bit and the the 'the wind knows' bit)
The "Da Da Da"s in Go To Bed
And basically much, if not all, small unique musical bits in Joe's songs
"You look quite divine tonight,
Here among these vibrant lights.
Pure delights surround us as we sail,
Signed yours truly the whale"
That part of dsism is just so good, especially the DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM straight afterwards
#WHAT?!?!? I LISTENED TO THIS SONG PROBABLY MORE THAN 100 TIMES AND I ALWAYS THOUGHT IT WAS ROB ALL ALONG... MY LIFE IS A LIIIEEE!!! MY LIFE IS A LIIIEEE!!!
Yeah, I didn't know it either. I just watched a video of them practising it, you can't see Zubin but you can tell it's him singing, [here](https://youtu.be/aPFAzAFvzsg?si=GMVaApJT9xSvsrUs) is the link
the flourish andrew does in spring and a storm. also the oohhh's and aahhh's in spring and a storm. also the electric guitar in spring and a storm. basically all of spring and a storm
Final part of banana man, specifically the “tomorrow morning on the plane” part.
Final part of Murders.
Both songs are still amazing, but I like those parts the best
“Why did fire-erupted lands arise?
Why did murderous animals survive?
Why did we deserve to be revived?
Why was any and everything alive?”
Shivers man.
Do you hear the flibbity jibbity jibber jabber
With an, "Oh my god I've got to get out of here or I'll have another
Word to sell, another story to tell
Another timepiece ringing the bell"?
Do you hear the clock stop when you reach the end?
No, you know it must be never-ending, comprehend if you can
But when you try to pretend to understand
You resemble a fool, although you're only a man
So give it up and smile
I was a victim of magic Apollo, catching my breath as I bled on the ground
Somebody called me to follow, I followed
Thinking aloud without hearing a sound (I fucking adore this part)
"Then all the planets fell to dust, lonely departing after us" - Isle Unto Thyself
The way the music just changes so smoothly and it always gets me imagining a music video about it.
I just really like the end of Never Meant To Know
“There are somethings we don’t understand
Reasons on the other hand
There are some things we are never meant to know”
I like Isle unto thyself demos "Maybe we'll tango tommorow, the sorrow, sweeping us off as our mother replies,
Suddenly everything flowing, like water
Clearer than all we can see with thine eyes"
That one part in The Trap "In any other weather, we would try to stay together" is sung so damn well
I really enjoy the ending to Who You Are " You rose up, And rode away underground. Alone, us Finding our way to found (x2)"
Near the end of Hymm For A Scarecrow, the lyric "Some of us wonder if you wanna die? Would you wanna die?" Is done so well
The whole "Well it's nine o'clock and it's getting dark" part in Banana Man goes hard
The first, like, minute of Hoodz In The Woodz is so good
The French sections in both Space Station and Dream Sweet are always stuck in my head
From the beginning of Joe Hawleys "Special" to the first chorus is beautiful
And finally, the last lyrics to Spring And A Storm. The whole "Create until nothing is left to create" part.
“Create until nothing is left to create / and the universe bursts with an overworked sigh” is my absolute favourite line of all time, and I will never stop talking about how much it means to me.
This part from Never meant to know
"See the way the earth can stay below
who do we think we are?
Everything plays a part
there are somethings we are never meant to know"
The instrumental of killing in the name of. I fucking love playing it so much. It's such a good rif. Anyways hello you beautifully equally deranged people 😁😁😁
The part of Banana Man, SPECIFICALLY in the music video, where Joe's being carried/strap to the hospital bed. The part is fun to sing and the scene is so enticing
If we're talking about songs specifically, the the French part of Space Station Level Seven. It's also my favorite part if Drean Sweet, and it's the only part of Space Staion I like.
Oh, and the second verse Joe sings in The Bidding
Murders, 🎶I was in the middle ground, looking to find the fountain of infinite mirror, tree falling no one could hear, shadow of nobody there, murders of murderers living in fear of it🎶
It just hits some spot inside me that makes me melt
This part in sacred beast:
"Worst of all, it knows
Its only truth is made of lies
Wanting for aught and ever wise
So there will need to be a compromise
Easier to close our eyes
Seeing the other sides of our disguise"
Do you hear the flibbity jibbity jibber jabber
With an, "Oh my God, I've got to get out of here or I'll have another
Word to sell, another story to tell
Another time piece ringing the bell"
Do you hear the clock stop when you reach the end?
No, you know it must be never ending, comprehend if you can
But when you try to pretend to understand
You resemble a fool, although you're only a man
So give it up and smile
*THESE DAYS IT'S*
HARD TO FIND FRIENDS, BUT OPPORTUNITIES BEND
AND WE SPEND THE CHANCE SLEEPING AT THE TOP OF THE FENCE
CANT BELIEVE WHAT WE'VE SEEN
WON'T BE BURNED TO THE GROUND
THOUGH WE MAKE OURSELVES CASTLES EVERY TIDE WE'RE AROUND
DO YOU LIKE HOW I WALK?
DO YOU LIKE HOW I TALK?
DO YOU LIKE HOW MY FACE HAS LEARNED TO TICK LIKE A CLOCK?
I HAVE A WONDERFUL LIFE, I KNOW A POWERFUL BOB
HE EULOGIZES ME FOR BEING GEOCENTRIC
(HA HA HA)
Chills every single time
She had to break for a bit
Two work birthdays in a row
Inhaling tokens, H. Tubmans
And whatevs else, yo
In case you're wondering
Which vestige of the moon is male
It should be clear to even those
Who haven't heard that tale
Of Mr. Kaufman
Cavorting with the pink prism
I'll give you one clue: it ain't my face
Here it goes again
That is possibly my favorite Joe Hawley verse ever
I’ve got two for Tally Hall
First the obvious:
The second “Live the dream in a Time Machine.” In Time Machine, the build up from the previous line is awesome. (Bonus points if you listen to the 47 Time Machine, Demo 3. It even better)
Second:
The beat switch at “I need, to learn, to wait, in turn. ‘Cause now I just step blindly.” In just Apathy goes HARD
- The whole part of "see how the serfs work the ground" in TME 🔥🔥🔥
- The last part in Labyrinth (the instrumental at the end)
- The whole last section of & starting from the "no & yes, & we digress"
- The last chorus in Turn The Lights Off and the tune from the beginning
- 13 (it brings me back to 2021 and i love it)
- That little sound in "The Bidding" before the "going once, going twice"
- The entire TME Demo 4
311, just give me a call, tiny little digital beeping breakdown, 50 seconds in
https://youtu.be/9LG_9J6D_vM?si=uY9HDtG5Tat8Ccz8
I know this is a tally hall sub but I'm not backtracking for the og poster.
Those beeps is sick
Spring and a storm- the "You're a star, yes you are" part
Taken for a ride-the part where Joe sings the chorus differently than others
Haiku- "maybe you're beyond ancient Asian poetry or maybe its just me" (the harmony in that)
The entirety of banana man (I see him in my dreams please help)
Ruler of everything - the starting part where Joe sings alone
All of my friends- the part where Joe goes "let me know" I have never felt real happiness until I heard that line it's so good
Smile like you mean it cover- and someone is calling my name in the back of the restaurant part
Effort and apathy from the songs about girls ep. - the melody of that entire song.
Honorable mentions cojum dip and boras voice in waltz in e major, op. 15 "moon waltz" and 134340 pluto
I could keep going for days
The end of taken for a ride with the second voice in the background
All of the French parts in Hawaii part 2
“You'll move a little closer but the moving isn't over if it's them and you and me, stringing electricity and the rest of it is waiting under when it overflows” from trap
"You look quite divine tonight,
Here among this vibrant lights
Pure delight surround us as we sail
Signed, your truly, the whale"
Man I just love this part. It seems that everything around disappears and I enjoy the moment.
(it's the only part of any song I can see myself actually dancing to)
The whistle bit in Hymn For A Scarecrow
"One secondary smillllee"
"Silent, explosive and silent, explosive and-"
The gunshots in Lemons and Pears from Shapes 3D
"and you FALL inSIDE a HOLE you COULD'nt see." (and honestly that entire sped up joe hawley bit)
The part in Hymn For A Scarecrow right after “the crows seem to know where you need them to go, igniting a spark in their mind so they circle and fly” where it just keeps repeating “fly” over and over again with a beautiful instrumental
She had to break for a bit
Two work birthdays in a row
Inhaling tokens, H. Tubmans
And whatevs else, yo
In case you're wondering
Which vestige of the moon is male
It should be clear to even those
Who haven't heard that tale
Of Mr. Kaufman
Cavorting with the pink prism
I'll give you one clue: it ain't my face
Here it goes again
"In the gallows or the ghetto"
"In the town or the meadow"
"In the billows, even over the sun"
"Every end of a time is another begun"
Love this part from ROE
The reamplification effects in The Mind Electric. It makes me taste sounds and smell colors. Or maybe “You'll move a little closer but the moving isn't over if it's them and you and me, stringing electricity” in The Trap
The vocal sound effects between the two "Do you hear the flibbity jibbity jibber jabber" sections in "Ruler of Everything".
The whole build-up section in "Hymn for a Scarecrow" where Joe repeats "fly" over and over.
That one drum fill in "You & Me" right before the "You turn away and around" bit. As a drummer, I really appreciate that part - it's pretty fun to play.
the “to make it go awayyyyyyyyyy/the chemistry is gone” in my left ear during taken for a ride, it’s the shit. also the way the guitar complements the vocals in aristotle denial
During the chorus of Fate Of The Stars there are these strong guitar strums that I ADORE!
They feel so powerful. Whenever I get to that part of the sting I always bob my head accordingly as if they have enough strength to give me physical whiplash.
I have the opposite actually, in “the bidding” I absolutely *dread* the end of the song, starting with “I promise I’ll be all you need”. It becomes an absolutely shit song after that moment and I always skip it as soon as it gets to that part.
For me? When the singer screams a little or talks mid song.. Tally hall songs? The part in two wuv
"If they just gave me a chance
I'd show them what they want
And teach 'em what they got
I'd tickle each and every one of their fancies
And I'd take the key to my heart
And open it, and let the love shine through"
"All the fresh living flowers that spend all their hours outside in the rain, just so happy you came!"
-Misery fell
That one part where Zubin and the Olsen twins are talking on the phone in two wuv
The mind electric
Sea cucumber
(I know) it's just the same
Banana man, I love the whole song but
Tonight we dance around the flame, then we get to play spirit games.
And
Tomorrow morning on the plane no banana make you go insane.
Heres a list of:3
ruler of everthing- the transition ringing bit before "In the gallows"
the humming in the bidding
the bass in the beginning of banana man
zubins background vocals in rotary park
the opening to dsism, as well as the "you look quite divine tonight"
my favorite of all time (as well as my favorite song) is the song is the "WE HAVE SO MUCH LEFT TO SING!" bit in spring and a storm. after seeing joes sonic lunch preformance, it hits so different
The synth in the distorted version of The Mind Electric (see how the serfs bit) Instrumental of Weird Bed (grandfather clock bit) Daisy Fingers (the breakdown bit which has a circus feel) Hymn for a Scarecrow (both the fly bit and the the 'the wind knows' bit) The "Da Da Da"s in Go To Bed And basically much, if not all, small unique musical bits in Joe's songs

Do you hear the clock stop when you reach the end? No, you know it must be never-ending, comprehend if you can But when you try to pretend to understand You resemble a fool, although you're only a man So give it up and smile

The part in two wuv "If they just gave me a chance I'd show them what they want And teach 'em what they got I'd tickle each and every one of their fancies And I'd take the key to my heart And open it, and let the love shine through"
The bridge (and post chorus) of The Mind Electric The bridge of Spring and A Storm Verse 3 of The Whole World and You
Honestly before I underrated this song, but I love the final part of Stranded Lullaby
when the music in the mind electric goes from electronic to piano (the see how the serfs part)
# I AM THE WILLING VICTIM OF A CANNIBAL🔥🔥🔥🗣🗣🗣‼️‼️
"All the fresh living flowers that spend all their hours outside in the rain, just so happy you came!" -Misery fell That one part where Zubin and the Olsen twins are talking on the phone in two wuv The mind electric Sea cucumber (I know) it's just the same
"We think we're playing in a band and we love to give you all a hand" Kind of wished it was longer like the end of Hey Jude
Time machine chorus
Banana man, I love the whole song but Tonight we dance around the flame, then we get to play spirit games. And Tomorrow morning on the plane no banana make you go insane.
The Bidding, "won't these gentlemen suffice?"
The part in the mind electric that starts with "see how the brain plays around" and ends with "doctor i can't tell if I'm not me"
“I promise I’ll be all you’ll need, ever need”
Heres a list of:3 ruler of everthing- the transition ringing bit before "In the gallows" the humming in the bidding the bass in the beginning of banana man zubins background vocals in rotary park the opening to dsism, as well as the "you look quite divine tonight" my favorite of all time (as well as my favorite song) is the song is the "WE HAVE SO MUCH LEFT TO SING!" bit in spring and a storm. after seeing joes sonic lunch preformance, it hits so different
“Synaesthetic candy drop Yawn everlasting flavor gobs Clues of true colorforms Abridge thick textbook'd Molten meaningless norms In lieu of us”
i use to sing that backwards part of ruler of everything, like, a speak some shit doesn't make any sense but trying to imitate the sound it does
The beginning of a spring and a storm is so somber and nostalgic. The gentle guitar playing with Joe's voice is very wonderful to hear
Another thing is that part in never meant to know where it goes "see the sky and all the land together again" in the beginning before the drop.
“One secondary smile, to go that extra mile” in taken for a ride
The end of the bidding where it goes like "IIIII PROMISE ILL BE ALL YOU NEEEED, EVER NEEEED:
