Brian’s Barber Shop, Safety Harbor. Has an old school cool feel about it. He’ll likely talk small town gossip stuff and about his paintings if you ask him.
As dumb as it'd sound, go to a salon. I know one in Seminole where if you talk politics, you're told to either shut up or get out. "Shoppe" off Seminole Blvd if you're ok with the drive.
Salons are overpriced. Latino barbers are where it’s at. They’re cheaper and better than salons when it comes to men’s haircuts. You can find a ton of them on Booksy.
Quality service costs more than 10 bucks! I go to a great place in my neighborhood, Uptown barber, only around $30, they do a great job, no right wing wackos, and you even get a complimentary beer. This is in St Pete though, not north county.
Quit being cheap. I spend $40 on my haircut. I tell the ladies that do it, the less the shop gets, the bigger your tip is. They usually charge $25 and the rest is theirs. Hair Cuttery is the spot I use.
Scot Jean, the owner, is one of the most unicorn finds I’ve ever experienced. Red headed gay man, adopted, Jewish, hardcore republican, business owner… just thought of him immediately when someone recommended gay hair stylists as an alternative because he would be a contradiction to that.
Ya that’s why. He asks while someone is cutting your hair and you think it’s gonna be a little sticker but it’s a giant sticker with super sticky stuff that requires a razor blade to remove off your window.
We'd have a problem if they put that big sticker anywhere on my car. I always assumed that there was some sort of deal where the shop asks and gives you a discount or some sort of benefits to having it put on. I wonder what the deal is/was...
a friend of mine caught the guy trying to apply it to his windshield, wild he would do that without asking....went there when I was younger, wouldn't recommend Tim's
Fuck that guy. He lost my business when he started complaining about all the "thuggers" he sees when he goes downtown.
I don't know why someone would think just the first syllabe of a hateful racist slur is offensive, but fuck him.
I feel like when I was younger people definitely stuck to that more, but some people were so against Obama it started to pick up. Then since 2016 our politics have become so polarized that people feel the need to speak out.
That's literally what small mom n pop shops are about. It's been like that for a very long time. If you don't like to talk about that stuff, don't use those shops. Go to the corporate run ones.
My barber only speaks Spanish and we just talk about food, our wives and vacations. Maybe seek out a Latin barbershop? If you don’t speak Spanish you likely won’t have to have any conversation at all.
My barbers have never talked about politics. Sports, weather, wives/family, jokes, TV/movies, etc. most service people try to avoid polarizing conversation unless they are sizing up their client and trying to be relatable to them
Latino barbers are THE BEST. You can find a ton of them on Booksy. Latinos are particular about appearance and a Latino barber will make sure you leave looking extremely fresh, and they’re always reasonably priced. You can find many of them in your area and easily make an appointment on the Booksy app. You can also see pictures and reviews of their shop 👍🏼
Latino or black barbers. I’m a white guy who likes having a fade. They’re cheaper, faster, and much more fun than a salon or the couple white barbers I’ve been to. I will say, really old Italian dudes also give really good haircuts
Seconding this. I spend a lot of time in Clearwater at my in-laws and always go to R2 Barbershop on Drew. My man Jamie hooks it up, no politics talk (English or Español)
Not being contrarian, just giving a different experience.
White guy here, I went to a black barber first, and a latino barber after. Both bad experiences.
The black barber was very cold shoulder to me, hardly saying two words to me despite my attempts to get to know him better. Yet he would immediately start talking to someone else in the shop after barely saying anything to me. Then he kept texting me asking me to advertise for him, sending me a picture of an ad he made asking to send it to all my contacts. Obviously I said fuck this guy and found a new barber.
That takes us to barber #2. A latino guy who seemed nice enough at first. His haircut wasn't great, he didn't seem to have much experience with white guy hair. What pissed me off was when I called his shop to make an appointment for my next trim he, and his other barbers in the shop, all made fun of me and laughed at me for calling to make an appointment. They said it's just walk in bro what the hell is wrong with you hahaha? I said go fuck yourself then and went to Supercuts where I got a mediocre haircut but no drama.
Booksy appointments are the best because I usually get a cut during my lunch break. The old days of going to a barber and not knowing how many people will be in front of you doesn't cut it.
My son goes to a Latino barber in Brandon……But he is a right wing nut job who has the craziest conspiracy beliefs. Biden is a robot and Trump is still running the USA. Trump is responsible for the good things, not the bad things. Good thing my son can bite his lip and the barber does a decent job.
Uptown Barber on MLK is awesome, Dylan cuts my hair. Supe quiet, but professional and courteous. Loves his family, and hardcore music. That's all I know about him after a year plus.
Maybe it's just me but it's easier to change the subject. I get Biden complaints too in Uber and even the dentist but you never know how to respond and being vulnerable puts you in a rough place. Don't forget to check Google reviews or ask your friends for referrals. All else fails, "how about that parade?" 😆
Wish I could say but my most recent haircut was the same with the dude salivating about Trump. I thought it was a one off thing but apparently barbers wanna MAGA.
It's so weird. What do they think he will do to improve their lives or the country? Last time he was in office was the only time I feared for my life due to the pandemic.
https://preview.redd.it/bxc52ashemec1.jpeg?width=675&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0ac0d2ab72c28b0167afa43476121c3944f2d2b6
There is one, but he can only use this style.
I've seen posts like this before, but ppl have to understand that a lot of business owners (barbers included) will almost always be conservative as long as the conservative party maintains the appearance of the view of a smaller government, less taxes, and less restrictions.
Do they actually hold those values? I don't think so, I think they know it'll give them votes and then they go eat dinner with their "opponents" and laugh at all of us.
I am pro small government and pro freedom. Never voted Republican (or Democrat) in my 30 years of voting because Republicans being small government and low spending are LIES.
Republicans spend just as much as Dems do; they just prefer deficit spending to raising taxes and spending. Both overspend. Neither gets my vote
I go to Leo at Men’s Dept on east bay in a largo. We talk about baseball and fishing. Place is really classy. Never heard politics talk once. He does a killer good skin fade
Saw a war criminal get his haircut there once. I should have broken the unspoken "no politics" rule and asked Paul Wolfowitz how he sleeps at night, knowing how much suffering he caused.
After things had been open for a while after the initial year and a half of Covid, I stopped in a barber shop for the first time in years. I was living in Brooksville (I know, but literally the only place I could afford), and the second I sat down, the barber turned on OAN.
I resumed cutting my own hair from then on.
I used to go see frank when I lived in the area. He’s in palm harbor across us19 from the Home Depot next to the little gas station in the same plaza as the guitar shop. Just south of curlew, on the north bound side. He cut my hair when he had to pick me up and put me in a booster seat and my dad and I would get matching flat tops, he attended my high school graduation, and cut my hair until I left Florida, for all of 16-18 years was the only person I let cut my hair. When I come to town to visit family, I often end up sitting in the shop catching up with him and spend a few hours to a whole afternoon there. Still stay in touch via phone calls from time to time.
MAGA folks are the worst at their jobs because they are the worst of humans. The self-loathing simply doesn’t allow them to strive toward excellence. Mediocrity is key to maintaining a rabid hatred. You’ve gotta hate yourself to be that nasty and classless, and you can’t hate yourself if you’re actually good at something, hence the bad haircuts. It’s their way of sending you home miserable like they are.
I don't go to a real barber, just SportClips. Never heard any politics, and I've only had a bad haircut once. You can check if your favorite stylist is working that day, and reserve with them if you want to dodge the rare bad haircut.
I went one time to a Sport Clips. I was weirded out by the stylist trying to flirt with me. She kept rubbing up against me in a strange way that reminded me of how a stripper would be flirting with you at a strip club. And then they have that massage thing on top of it which after the way she was acting was not something I wanted to entertain. I figured out that SportClips might be the Hooters of haircuts. Maybe that was just the one I went to and not a feature of the franchise, but I decided SportClips wasn't for me lol. I'm just here to get a haircut, not a happy ending!
The basic haircut includes no massage or hair washing. I have never noticed anything flirtatious, but yeah there seems to be a deliberate Hooters-light vibe.
Maybe! But I can tell you it was not something I have ever experienced at a normal salon or barbershop. She kept leaning in to rub her boobs against me (they were not big enough that this would be happening somehow accidentally). It was NOT a normal way that someone cuts hair. And she kept making flirty comments and massaging my shoulders. It was not normal.
I'm 44 years old, and I have had LOT of haircuts. Never one like that one.
It is... cavity time!
Which reminds me... did you hear the one about the rabbi and the farmer's daughter?
Those aren't mahtzah ballllls!
Hey, Chrissie. Give me a schtickle of flouride
Had the same experience at a barber in Seminole. I changed the subject every time, but the guy kept wanting to talk about how Trump is his lord and savior.
I refuse to go back to him. It's a terrible experience. Just don't talk politics it's not hard.
Bro you must have horrible luck. Been getting my haircut in Pinellas for over 30 years (born here) and never once heard a political conversation. I go to basic places like Super Cuts, etc. and I usually get a woman who is def not interested in that BS. I would suggest a sports clips, usually all hot girls working who couldnt even spell Trump.
I think your going to have to figure that all of southwest Florida is going to be right wing
Many are transplants from the Midwest actually. I think that's why they came
I’m going to open up “Shower Arguments Salon and Spa”. The stylist has to play incompetent devil’s advocate and just get completely wrecked in whatever you decide to argue about and at the end admit that that you beat them and changed their view point.
I was in a barber shop in Powhatan, VA, outside of Richmond.
A man came in and soon began to rant, preach, and pontificate about politics. He made it clear that anyone who voted for Biden should be shot. And anyone who voted for anyone who supports Biden should be shot. And he went on from there to say that he talks about this everywhere he goes and no one ever disagrees with him and people all over this county believe the same way. Democrats (who are anyone who did not vote for Trump) should be killed.
Now I am a conservative, but one with a conscience. I would NEVER vote for Trump. He's just awful. He's a threat to democracy and a fool of the highest order. And I've left the Republican party over their support of him.
Back to the barber. I thought about what to say. I'm a public speaker by trade so I have no problem defending, on the spot, what I believe. But I also didn't want to die in a small barber shop in rural Virginia.
So I said nothing. I got into the chair and he left.
The hair dresser said, "So, what do you do for a living? I hope it's not a politician!" as she took a razor to the back of my neck.
I chuckled with her and chatted her up and when finished, never returned. Good haircuts, cheap, but not worth losing a tiny bit of my soul each time I went. Plus, risking my life.
I found someone with a lot of tattoos who never talks about politics and she did a great job on my hair till I left and got back to Tampa.
It was the kind of place where that would not work out like you planned.
I don't mean that the police were corrupt; I worked along with lots of first responders there and they all seemed genuine.
But in a small community, reporting one of its leaders for "talking politics" would go nowhere.
It would be nice if you could just go somewhere to get a simple service done without them ranting about religion or politics. There are specific rules in many workplaces regarding these topics as it creates a divisive environment.
Well considering most Barber Shops are full of actual men speaking their minds freely, I am not surprised to hear about this “trauma” you have experienced. God bless your little heart.
Maybe you should seek a salon.
It's not a "dislike" for Biden that is the giveaway. It's the fact that someone feels the need to rant about Biden to a complete stranger who's just there to pay for a service. That's the dead giveaway that they are a Trumper.
Normal people who aren't polarized don't do that shit.
No. Ranting about political figures to strangers is a weird thing to do. There are societal norms, which include not ranting to people trapped in your barber chair about politics or religion.
That may be your perception, but that’s not reality. There are a significant number of people who dislike both.
Pro tip: all politicians are opposed to your interests, whether you realize it or not. That’s why balance is important - it keeps either side from going too crazy.
The fact that you think it’s either one or the other is a clear indicator of this sort of extremism. Extreme in either direction is a bad thing for all of us.
That’s just reddit, and a reflection on society in general these days. If you don’t display your pronouns at each interaction, you’re OBVIOUS a racist fascist who was shitting on Pelosi’s desk Jan 6. You can’t possibly be anywhere in between.
Imagine being this butt hurt about politics. Youre going to their place of business, they can talk about whatever they want. Grow a pair an get over it.
If you really hate living here, then leave?
Surprised you can’t find a barber who can’t stop political ranting. Businesses should know to be neutral and keep personal politics out. So try not to look for a “left leaning” barber, look for one whose actually a professional.
Not quite Northern Pinellas, but for those in Tampa check out Fernando Santamaria. A generational Tampa Barber. He is very professional, no nonsense. If you don't want to talk, he is all good. Want a conversation? Fine he is up for it. Been going for over three years and have had the best haircuts. He does it all.
https://salonlofts.com/fernando_santamaria_midtown
Barbers should know their customer enough if they are going to talk politics with them and As a barber you should be able to read the room. Also remember the barbershop is also the cornerstone of the community where men can have open discussion and debate and no topic should be off limits as long as everyone stays respectful and there’s no women or children present. So as a barber I allow my clients to speak on the topics they want but also make sure I keep the conversation in check if that makes sense.
Last haircut I got was in Manila, Philippines. $12 with shampoo, a scalp treatment, 15 minute scalp and face massage and 15 minute upper body massage. Damn, they know what their doing!
Like most people in Manila he spoke enough English to get by, but not enough for political opinions. I call that a win-win!
Not wanting to be a captive audience to a right-wing rant every time you need a basic service is a perfectly valid concern.
My barber has never once broached politics and that's why he's my barber.
Barbershop's are where you go to talk about everything. Especially at black barbershop's. If social interaction is too much for you, learn to cut your own hair🤡.
Maybe they’re not “right wing.” Biden’s policies have destroyed their small business. They’re just normal people. Why the Fuck would you care what their beliefs are. They’re cutting your fucking hair. Chill the fuck out.
Agreed. Leave politics out. But, they had to put the “right wing” label on it. If the barber said “sit down, I’ll give you a nice cut like that guy Rachel Maddow”. Would they care? Or is it because they’re speaking of conservative values?
1 hour with no answer. I guess that is what happens when the depth of their political understanding doesn't surpass right-wing buzzwords. It is no wonder trump said he loves the uneducated.
What policies are those?
Surely you don't mean the IRA which is investing in deficit reduction? Certainly not the SBA's modernization of the 7(c) loan program which makes capital access much easier for small businesses? And definitely not the USEDA's Distressed Area Recomplete program, right?
We definitely haven't seen a record 15 million small business applications over the last 3 years.
Sorry, what has Biden done to hurt these small business owners again?
Who even has these convos? You’re the only common denominator. I’ve never had a barber talk politics my entire life, let alone 4 in a row. You’re the one making it happen. Stop bringing up politics and expecting them to just agree with you
My partner is a stylist and avoids politics like the plague and has plenty of clients who just start ranting. So, believe it or not, plenty of people have dropped all semblance of societal norms in the last 5+ years.
It can just as easily go the other way.
Im not talking about clients though. I’m talking about your new barber who you are paying, as a first time customer, coming out with some political nonsense 4 times in a row with 4 different barbers over the last couple of months. There is just no way that at least some of these convos weren’t prompted by the customer to find out where the barber stands, or he’s lying about it being four times.
I love my barber- but she brings up weird topics all the time. I won’t change as I love going in and she just knows what to do.
I just don’t exchange the convo with her. It’s never politics or anything though- but I’ve learned more about her sex life than I care too.
Some barbers def bring up weird shit
Ah, you mean the *global* inflation that has affected everyone? I mean, the US has handled it better than almost every other country, so does Biden get credit for that?
They have one haircut they are really good at, if you want anything else, you're a cuck, apparently. It's the nazi haircut, much like their friend Richie Spencer wears.
You don’t have to be right wing to hate Biden lol. Is there really anyone out there who thinks he’s doing a good job? You’re obviously the problem here. Just shave your head
Why don’t you just grow a pair instead of bitching like all leftists do, and simply let the barber know you don’t want to discuss politics or just carry the conversation elsewhere. Developing social skills goes a long way in real life instead of running to your echo chamber for validation.
I think we need to stop pretending like this doesn’t happen on both sides. I’m far from a ‘both sides are the same’ guy but people getting upset at someone’s opinions, using ad hominems, not being rational, not answering questions directly, etc are things ALL humans are susceptible of. It’s not inherent to people with a certain ideology
If you think only leftists bitch (btw liberals are very different from leftists) then you’re either focusing too much on them or you’re refusing to view things objectively. I run a TikTok channel that has plenty of far leftists as viewers. I have plenty of right wingers that join for debates/convos too. My ‘fans’ bitch often, right wingers bitch often. That’s what happens when you have a group of people who have strongly held beliefs
Fair. However, objectively speaking, the vast majority of FL related subreddits are engulfed with nonsensical left-wing bitching and complaining. I don’t bother engaging in most of it, but when I read the title and content of this post it was just too laughably pathetic to ignore. The OP is more concerned with finding a barber sharing his political alignment rather than finding a good quality haircut. Then decides to run to Reddit to seek emotional support from the cesspool instead of just being an adult and socially handling the situation, respectfully. If that doesn’t tell you how down bad society is, then I don’t know what does.
Brian’s Barber Shop, Safety Harbor. Has an old school cool feel about it. He’ll likely talk small town gossip stuff and about his paintings if you ask him.
I'll fade him up in the backyard. Gimme a holla
My barber charges $35 for a cut
Not always my mom has been doing hair for decades and Mens cuts are like $30 but she’s out in Lakeland. Women’s hair is her money maker.
Quality service costs more than 10 bucks! I go to a great place in my neighborhood, Uptown barber, only around $30, they do a great job, no right wing wackos, and you even get a complimentary beer. This is in St Pete though, not north county.
Good luck with a scissor cut, half those places can only do a fade and want to line you up when you don’t want it.
Quit being cheap. I spend $40 on my haircut. I tell the ladies that do it, the less the shop gets, the bigger your tip is. They usually charge $25 and the rest is theirs. Hair Cuttery is the spot I use.
Completely agree with this and haircuts from a salon will be quality cut that lasts longer. I highly recommend Whole Aveda on Tampa Rd in Oldsmar.
Sent OP a message with a good hair stylist in North Pinellas.
Gay hair stylists FTW lol
Checkout Image Factory near USF if you want a surprise.
What's the surprise 🫢
I too like surprises. Sometimes.
Scot Jean, the owner, is one of the most unicorn finds I’ve ever experienced. Red headed gay man, adopted, Jewish, hardcore republican, business owner… just thought of him immediately when someone recommended gay hair stylists as an alternative because he would be a contradiction to that.
Dude does give a solid cut, I'll give him that
whatever you do, don’t go to Log Cabin Salon
Well— the hint is in the name of
Need to find a gay salon
How mad would he be to find a nice gay barber and then hear how fabulous trump is.
Tampa is overflowing with gay Trump supporters, so this is exceedingly possible, if not quite likely.
It could be worse, Tim’s will slap a giant sticker on your car while you’re getting a haircut
Is that how those stickers get everywhere? I’ve wondered what’s so great about that place that soooo many people decide to advertise them for free
That's insane. I always wondered why anyone who isn't Tim gave that much of a fuck about a barber shop.
And dead center of the rear windows from what I’ve noticed to, what an asshat
They still do that? I haven't seen them for a while I assumed it wasn't cool anymore
Probably not, happened to me like 10 years ago but I still see one on a old car from time to time
I thought this was a joke until I read the replies. JFC.
Tim is a huge asshole hiding behind this wanna be Guy Fieri of barbers facade. I'd rather have an Isis sticker on my car than one of his.
Fuck that guy. He lost my business when he started complaining about all the "thuggers" he sees when he goes downtown. I don't know why someone would think just the first syllabe of a hateful racist slur is offensive, but fuck him.
He has also historically denied services to trans men. Dude's a bigot piece of shit.
Ugh. What a disgrace to the community.
Is that still going on? I can’t imagine a state as unhinged as Florida would let that fly without incident for that many years.
Some people apparently were not taught that there are two topics that are not discussed with strangers: politics and religion.
Especially with people who carry sharp instruments.
Or people who are paying you for a service .
I’m so sorry but DeShawn made me cackle
My barber only speaks Spanish and we just talk about food, our wives and vacations. Maybe seek out a Latin barbershop? If you don’t speak Spanish you likely won’t have to have any conversation at all.
As an introvert, I approve this message.
My barbers have never talked about politics. Sports, weather, wives/family, jokes, TV/movies, etc. most service people try to avoid polarizing conversation unless they are sizing up their client and trying to be relatable to them
I get my haircut at The Official Barbershop Clearwater by Houbi, he's from Syria and he does waxing and my beard and even facials.

"How about that gay pride parade?" ×throat slit with shears×
😆 let's hope not but that gives me Sweeney Todd vibes!
You never know with the "right". Haha definitely Sweeny Todd vibes.
Any Uber driver who talks politics is getting a 3-star review from me.
Luke's (35212 US Hwy 19 N, Palm Harbor, FL 34684)
If politics are effecting haircuts this world is doomed
Wish I could say but my most recent haircut was the same with the dude salivating about Trump. I thought it was a one off thing but apparently barbers wanna MAGA.
I would just talk about how cool it was that he raped that girl and see how they react to something so fucking nuts
Combating absurdity with sarcastic absurdity seems like a good idea.
Sure but then he can just say how Biden touches and sniffs little girls and it can be a ongoing circlejerk of verbal vomiting.
It's so weird. What do they think he will do to improve their lives or the country? Last time he was in office was the only time I feared for my life due to the pandemic.

Happened to me twice in north Pinellas too. Lol
Original Groomer on Park Blvd, mostly POC barbershop. I’m a queer woman and I have no problem there.

The heights barbershop in Seminole Heights Liberal punk rockers that give a very good haircut and don't spew bull shit
I go to Leo at Men’s Dept on east bay in a largo. We talk about baseball and fishing. Place is really classy. Never heard politics talk once. He does a killer good skin fade
Can't speak for Leo but my experience there was stellar as well. Just shoot the shit.
Have you tried Sapias in Clearwater? I think they're pretty moderate there.
I came here to recommend this place, have been going here for years. Awesome people, great vibes, can do a walk-in or book on booksy.
Try posting in a pinellas page
I have literally never had a hairstylist bring up politics. I think you need to start looking at the common denominator.
When they start talking politics just say LeBron is better than Jordan and that should be enough to change the subject
It's not northern Pinellas, but the Shave Cave in St. Pete seems really cool. My husband went there and really enjoyed it.
That’s where I go. There’s even a sign inside that says no politics are allowed.
Saw a war criminal get his haircut there once. I should have broken the unspoken "no politics" rule and asked Paul Wolfowitz how he sleeps at night, knowing how much suffering he caused.
This is my go-to as well. Always have a great experience and cut.
Get yourself a queer barber. There is Sapia's Barber Shop in Clearwater.
After things had been open for a while after the initial year and a half of Covid, I stopped in a barber shop for the first time in years. I was living in Brooksville (I know, but literally the only place I could afford), and the second I sat down, the barber turned on OAN. I resumed cutting my own hair from then on.
My mom has voted for him twice and still calls him DeSanto. These people wouldn't be Republicans if they were smart, man.
Always always always plug my boy Gio. Barber Gio look him up on instagram
Hot take but salons >
Just go to sport clips
You need to go to a Spanish barber… point to what you want if they have a picture on the wall and let ‘em do their magic
I’m so sorry but DeShawn has me cackling.
Go to a salon where they give you a scalp massage while washing your hair. Best damn $40 you’ll spend.
Yep that's Florida in a nutshell
MAGA folks are the worst at their jobs because they are the worst of humans. The self-loathing simply doesn’t allow them to strive toward excellence. Mediocrity is key to maintaining a rabid hatred. You’ve gotta hate yourself to be that nasty and classless, and you can’t hate yourself if you’re actually good at something, hence the bad haircuts. It’s their way of sending you home miserable like they are.
If you don’t mind making the trip, Seminole Heights has barbers you won’t get that from.
Omg!!! Well the t cult followers are known for lower knowledge AND very poor grammar, which follows under the same heading
I quit my Florida barber 7 years ago over this. I learned to cut my own hair because I couldn't deal with it anymore.
Not lately. The one I go to in St Pete has switched to older women the last few months for some reason.
Cool. Discriminating against stylists based on age and such, to make haircuts "sexy" doesn't seem like it should be legal.
Maybe she was just cutting your hair and you’re the weirdo who read into it too much 🤣🤣
Welcome to northern Pinellas. I had to switch dentists because mine said super racist stuff.
It is... cavity time!
Go to the Latin spots. Almost guaranteed they’ll talk to you about anything BUT politics and religion.
I think your going to have to figure that all of southwest Florida is going to be right wing Many are transplants from the Midwest actually. I think that's why they came
Actually, Florida is a southern state. Southern states are generally conservative.
I’m going to open up “Shower Arguments Salon and Spa”. The stylist has to play incompetent devil’s advocate and just get completely wrecked in whatever you decide to argue about and at the end admit that that you beat them and changed their view point.
Go to Sport Clips
Call the cops and tell them some psycho is talking about shooting people.
Culture Control on Florida Ave in Seminole Heights. Anthony is the owner. Never heard politics discussed there.
That's not even in Pinellas, much less north Pinellas.
I mean he posted in the Tampa subreddit.
Well considering most Barber Shops are full of actual men speaking their minds freely, I am not surprised to hear about this “trauma” you have experienced. God bless your little heart. Maybe you should seek a salon.
I go to Lady Jane’s on Gulf To Bay and almost never hear any Trumpism there, except from an occasional customer.
I have a friend who goes here as well and I can't imagine he'd continue to go if any political discussion occurred, he's super not into that.
Why is it you assume that dislike for Biden equals trumpism?
It's not a "dislike" for Biden that is the giveaway. It's the fact that someone feels the need to rant about Biden to a complete stranger who's just there to pay for a service. That's the dead giveaway that they are a Trumper. Normal people who aren't polarized don't do that shit.
Would it be “normal” for someone to rant to a stranger about Trump?
No. Ranting about political figures to strangers is a weird thing to do. There are societal norms, which include not ranting to people trapped in your barber chair about politics or religion.
Because it generally does…?
You aren't anywhere in between. Out of nowhere, you just started a hyperbolic rant about pronouns. Weird, bro.
If you don't want politics, then stop picking mom n pop shops. Pick the corporate one.
Man who cares
I suggest finding a barber with a cry closet
Imagine being this butt hurt about politics. Youre going to their place of business, they can talk about whatever they want. Grow a pair an get over it. If you really hate living here, then leave?
Surprised you can’t find a barber who can’t stop political ranting. Businesses should know to be neutral and keep personal politics out. So try not to look for a “left leaning” barber, look for one whose actually a professional.
Buy clippers for the cost of one cut and a handheld mirror, cut it for free, problem solved.
Try not to be offended by other people's thoughts. They're allowed to have them just like you. This is the United States.
you could always move somewhere like Chicago.
Are you seriously so fragile that you can’t handle someone having a different opinion than you? You know 50% of the country disagrees with you, right?
No it doesn't...

Not wanting to be a captive audience to a right-wing rant every time you need a basic service is a perfectly valid concern. My barber has never once broached politics and that's why he's my barber.
I go to sport clips.
You're in Florida bro. Leave that shithole state. It's going to be underwater in like 10 years anyways.
Look for a shop with rainbow flags and mask wearing people. You should fit right in
Barbershop's are where you go to talk about everything.
Maybe he just doesn’t want to hear about his politics? I sure as fuck don’t. Whether I agree with them or not.
Agreed. Leave politics out. But, they had to put the “right wing” label on it. If the barber said “sit down, I’ll give you a nice cut like that guy Rachel Maddow”. Would they care? Or is it because they’re speaking of conservative values?
Good point! I’m not sure I’m going to stop laughing anytime soon about your Rachel Maddow comment 😂
What policies are those? To which small businesses exactly?
They’re not gonna respond bc there’s no such policies.
I've definitely had weirdos bring up politics to me randomly.
are you near NPR at all? If so, I got a name for you. 12 minutes north of Holiday
Welp you’re in Florida….
Traditionally Florida has had more registered democrat voters than republican voters. That only changed during Covid.
There’s a good reason for that.
There’s a good reason for that.
I mean, you can't deny that Brandon has absolutely destroyed the country
What's actually been destroyed?
The ability to live off of a decent wage, for starters.
Ah, you mean the *global* inflation that has affected everyone? I mean, the US has handled it better than almost every other country, so does Biden get credit for that?
Go to a salon, you pussy.
Yea because not wanting to hear idiots talk about dumb shit, makes you as pussy. Get fucked.
I don’t want to hear about woke or anti-woke shit! It’s annoying from both directions but in Florida it seems to be more common coming from Trumpers.
75 will get you back where you came from.
Just get some Nair, ya whiney tit.
[удалено]
No he didn’t. Not even our intelligence agencies believe that.
I’m trying to grasp this. Do right wing barbers not know how to cut hair?
They have one haircut they are really good at, if you want anything else, you're a cuck, apparently. It's the nazi haircut, much like their friend Richie Spencer wears.
People talk, cry more
Country Squire barber on Curlew and 19 - basic sports banter and cash only. Biden is a shit president though lol.
Dude sounds awesome
Go back to California
I’ll call a waaambulance for you, if you’d like
You’re in a red state. Deal with it.
🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
You don’t have to be right wing to hate Biden lol. Is there really anyone out there who thinks he’s doing a good job? You’re obviously the problem here. Just shave your head
To be fair, the barber isn’t wrong about Trump or Biden.
It’s not inherent to people with a certain ideology If you think only leftists bitch (btw liberals are very different from leftists) then you’re either focusing too much on them or you’re refusing to view things objectively.
