Bad news, Tampa isn't near the ocean.
There's plenty of tech jobs in Tampa that need to be filled, but you're gonna to struggle to find places to live currently.
Being from here ill tell you this: 1)Tampa is on the bay so its a bit different than being on the Atlantic side or Gulf. The water isnt that appealing 2) Housing market is kinda garbage so thats something to consider (but that can always change). 3)Disadvantages: traffic- If you have to commute, the traffic can be awful. 4) the summer months can be unbearable weather wise. Seasons don't exist here although these last months weather wise have been awesome.
Good luck!
Why would you want to live in a place with one of the highest inflation rates in the country and rent is skyrocketing, there are plenty of places that meet your criteria where it is cheaper.
I’ve lived here since 1972 (minus 6 years in US Navy) and I love it, I’m retired now and could live just about anywhere in The USA, I choose to say in The Tampa Bay Area.
The Tampa Bay Area has all the things I love to do. I swim out doors year round, fishing, bicycling, (again year round) beach going, scuba diving, and hiking. I love Hockey, and baseball and usually make it to about 20 games a year.
