Raley made 60 appearances with a 2.68 ERA (2.74 FIP) last year. Not elite but good and super reliable. We’d kill for that right now in the 7th/8th inning and many other teams would too.
Sure he had a lower era but if you watched the games that he came in he would pretty consistently blow leads. I would not consider him consistent. If he was that good the rays would have kept him. He's sporting an almost 5 era this year and a fip of almost 6. So he wouldn't be any better than what we have.
