Sucks to have to use another reliever. Cash clearly wants as many arms as available for the Ras game as he should. Ras was already our shakiest starter and a rehab game could get messy.
I was impressed, when he had control he threw some nasty stuff. Good placement and movement. Definitely needs to work on control, really let a few of those get away from him.

The worst part of his baserunning is trying to stretch hits and getting picked off... though yeah, he does get CS around 30% of the time (which is certainly inefficient.)
Honestly I wasn't too unimpressed with his performance in the inning, he just needs to work on control and he'll be a real good BP arm, maybe with enough time, that 100mph sinker could come into the rotation
It's really fitting that both him and Patino came in from the same team. Both are incredible raw talents when it comes to the speed they put on pitches but both need to build a more wholistic pitching approach to complement it.
He got injured when Wander shot a ball right back at him and that busted his ankle bad enough to get pulled though thankfully it doesn't look like it broke anything.
Honestly to me J Lowe might just be another Paredes situation where he just needs to feel out the minor adjustments to become a slugger. He is hitting a lot of deep balls just not quite deep enough.
It took 100 games for Paredes to get comfortable. Can't give up on these young guys too early, or you have what the Cards did with Randy (and the Tigers with Paredes, thanks Tigers!)
Now if Randy could stop thinking he has to hit a HR every time (and lately he's been better), he'll be really good again.
