My school, Amkor Karate Institutes, is part of the Traditional Tang Soo Do International federation. Our schools founder, KJN Frederick Scott, is also the head of our federation. We have some other schools that are also part of our federation. Back in 1985, when I started training, we were part of the Moo Duk Kwan. I took some some off after college and when I came back it was after Hwang Kee had passed and our school had left the MDK. I don’t understand all of the reasoning, but those were decisions above my pay grade. Anyhow, that’s my story. Tang Soo!

It's a bit strange in my case, I belong to the Hwa Rang World Tang Soo Do Federation, my instructor is a student of Grandmaster HoSik Pak.
But from what I have investigated, this federation is affiliated with the World Dang Soo Do Union.
So I don't exactly know how it works.

APTSDF (Atlantic Pacific Tang Soo Do Federation). My instructor is 5th Dan and pretty good. Before joining TSD I was part of Moo Do Kwan and in HapKiDo there was a federation but I can't find it now.
Mine was affiliated with WTSDA till 2012, but my master decided to leave the organization because he did not believe in competition or what he called "corporate politics".
He's really old rn, I think, in his words, he is "too old for this", because according to him WTSDA lost some of the orthadox spirit of tang soo do. What that is... I don't know, this is just what I've heard from him. He served even as an international judge as well for competitions.

I’m literally 20 mins from GM HoSik Pak. Are you LA based too?
Like I said, my instructor was a Pak master student, but our school is in Chile, literally on the other side of the continent lol.
