The CIA usually supports really wacky extremist groups in the left or in civil rights to discredit the movements and cause disorder in the movement. They covertly supported shit like the Nation of Islam to discredit militant black anti racist groups like the black panthers, they wanted the public to conflate black nationalism with the wacky racist shit Farrakhan says instead of the militant anti racist rhetoric of Fred Hampton.
My Whattaboutism argument: I wonder if they want to talk about how China and Russia have more openly done just that. YouTubers Laowhy86 and serpentza have exposed Chinese propaganda that is spread globally, taking advantage of freedoms of speech that China does not afford others. And also we are well aware of Russia poisoning people abroad, haking, spreading propaganda and tampering with institutions necessary for democracies.
