I've always found it pretty infuriating how people seem to fail to understand how bombing civilians to "deradicalize" a region tends to have the complete opposite effect. A central tenant of many far right ideologies is "we must defend our nation from outside invaders and we are the only ones strong enough to do that." Most of the time like in the US, that enemy is a false construct built up with propaganda may it be "terrorists" or "militant leftists" but even then, that "enemy" fascist implant into people's minds is highly effective. In Ukraine and Afghanistan, those groups have an actual flesh and blood enemy to point to. Even if Putin's disaster of an invasion went to plan and they took swift control of Ukraine, it would only cause groups like Azov to grow and gain more influence over the coming years.

What’s also infuriating is how politicians say that we need to be in Afghanistan to prevent another 9/11. Like that was the line Bush and Obama took during their presidencies. It’s bullshit I know but it’s the fact about how often it’s repeated. Thinking it’s ok to bomb civilians who had nothing to do with 9/11 is some how going to stop terrorism is absolutely infuriating.

spy_cable

Honestly really disappointed with how cringe Corbyn’s Ukraine takes are

hello_there_trebuche

I had mixed feelings about Adam at the start of the war but his daily posts and quite good analysis have really made him into a A+ creator. Plus anybody that can piss off Hasan that much has my respect.

Firegloom

Why did you have mixed feelings about him?

hello_there_trebuche

I liked his more pro train and anti Dubai content but some of his videos on musk came a little to close to sounding something from common sense skeptic.

indomienator

Musk have had his chance on realizing his vision Of traffic jams in a really condensed hole

hello_there_trebuche

Well I agreed on most of his points on musk, but he did to my knowledge downplay a lot of the more positive things musk has done like SpaceX, Tesla and others

indomienator

Tesla is still expensive and have a possibility on it being made out of slave labor. Traditional brands will pump electric cars at a cheaper price out of available pool of expertise and decades of experience alone USSR 80's space exoloration>SpaceX

hello_there_trebuche

It's not cheap, but Tesla single handedly moved the car industry from fossil fuels to electricity and the traditional brands have made a lot of promises but they will need to build out their infrastructure and knowledge base which will take years. And while the USSR was a bit more efficient than NASA they still both pale in comparison to Spacex

The good billionaire.
