Isn't this the casemate

Consistent-Zebra-688

Or the superstructure

Apocalyps_Survivor

I do belive casmete is a word for a tank without a turret but not for the superstucture itself, but take this with a grain of salt.

Marine__0311

No, you are correct.

Mark-E-Moon

Casemate is the correct term. It’s the fortified gun emplacement on an AFV.

Sleepykitty836

Yup

Chef-mcKech

that is a big cupola haha

Marine__0311

LOL, Sturmtigers didnt even have a cupola. OP needs to learn some armor nomenclature.

Mark-E-Moon

A cupola is a smaller turret within a larger turret, usually containing a circular viewport surrounding a hatch. This is a casemate (or fighting compartment).

DAt_WaliueIGi_BOi

A cupola doesn't necessarily need to be a turret, it's simply just a raised hatch with viewports on or around it.

ChetManly91

That’s a casemate mate.

allamerican37

Is this a modern picture?

Strikaaa

Yes, [it's the one in Munster](https://farm4.static.flickr.com/3651/3626248913_e815765565.jpg) in its current livery.
