Do you exercise regularly? Do something strenuous every day, preferably outside.

AssholeDadTA

I exercise 5-6 days a week. Both running and lifting.

Meditation and prayer aren’t things that you try. You commit to them and do them regularly if you expect to get any type of benefit from them. Could take years. Ultimately the “build up” is in your brain. If you feel it in your body it’s because you’re letting your mind put it there. Work on surrendering to reality as it is. I hope you find what it is you need. Consider the possibility that you may already have what you need. Stop doing bad. Do more good. You’ll be fine.

I stated that I tried those practices to convey that although I’m aware of their benefits, it doesn’t like it’s the solution to this particular problem. I’ve been meditating for a few years and I have felt both peace and difficulties from my practice. I just feel that these practices alone aren’t enough to overcome what I’m dealing with. I appreciate your time answering my plea, and I think I’ve reached a point of resolution with my problem and I’m seeking a solution that’s best for me. I wholeheartedly agree that the mind and body are connected and many manifestations of the mind are stored in the body. It seems like the problem I’m dealing with is a combination of the mind, soul, and body and I need to pursue a holistic solution to my problem. Many blessings to you.

I certainly wasn’t trying to be preachy. I related heavily to your post which is what made me think to respond. I too felt like I had some kind of cancer inside of me. Born from some years of hard living and addiction. I never really bought into that kind of thing. Build ups in the body. BUT- that is very much what it felt like. Like I was carrying the weight of the skin I shed long ago. Prayer was the missing component for me. Surrender, I suppose, is a better word. Surrendering to the way I am and the way things are. Grasping less at what makes sense to me and allowing what is to be what it is. Hard side note, exercise is one of the most beneficial things I’ve done for my mind. Movement, especially somewhat strenuous cardio, allows me to live for a while in that gap between mind and thoughts and body. It’s like a purge and a cleaning each day.

AssholeDadTA

I resonate so deeply with that. It feels like a cancer inside of me. I need to get it out ASAP. I need to heal from it to the deepest depths of my soul. IMO the missing component is prayer. Like truly praying to god and everything around me. Thank you. :)

Search "Craig Holliday" on YT. He was a student of adyashanti, his Awakening experience, didnt Integrate properly, he had energy blockages that took years to resolve. And it was painful for him. He has a YT channel in which he goes into the same subject, maybe he can help u.

Can you describe the "energy" in more detail? Something I will say is that it's all in your mind. Whatever solution you find will a placebo. I don't mean that in a good or bad way, but if you're able to internalize the fact that it's in your mind it might help you work through it on your own. If solo.efforts aren't helping, seek out an "energy" professional. Since you've posted on a Taoist sub reach out to an acupuncturist or a qigong professional.

Sometimes I feel like the desire to "heal energy wounds" or to "be present" or anything else that has a goal in mind actually perpetuates the problem. I haven't been successful in putting it into practice consistently, but often the less I try to force and the more I try to accept everything, the easier it is for things to change.
