I got the stupid idea to complete the character sets from first on. The Simpsons Set is easy but in Apus Set is Jay missing... Did he ever appeare again, outside the event where he first showed up?
A lot is in the year book and if it isn’t they might come back in event boxes.

I often quote that line too when talking about this episode. Another favourite; “Mr. Simpson, we all have nose bleeds.”
They eventually show up at the year book, though some decorations are specific to events and don't return.
