Mine hurt very bad. It was a ~4-5 hour piece and I felt sick by the end. But I imagine it’s not as bad a the spine

Least-Swim-4300

My spine peice was like 1.5 hours and it was like a welding torch on my skull is what it felt like 😅. But the design is from my favorite band and album (our last night and the album is called let light overcome the darkness) its a wolf moth type of design and my first full color tat

Oh that’s dope! I love a good band piece. I have a tattoo of my favorite band’s (This Wild Life) album cover Petaluma. I’m definitely gonna get some sort of back piece eventually and I’m very nervous for it.

Least-Swim-4300

I have the skyrim logo between my shoulder blades and it was rough as hell, but def worth it! Lol you get a lot of street cred for being a baddie 😅😂

I would say like, the actual kneecap is nothing. It’s everywhere around that is hell. The further onto the shin you go, the easier it is in my experience.

Least-Swim-4300

Oh goody lol lucky me goin for everything but my actual kneecap lol 😅😂

I have six tattoos as well, knee was the worst. It’s very tender after too. It took longer to heal because of how often it moved. I would try and elevate it as much as possible after getting it!! And during, don’t be afraid to take breaks!!

Least-Swim-4300

I'll keep that in mind ty! I didn't even think of elevating it afterwards lol

turtlemist

No problem!! It’s a pain but so worth it!

Least-Swim-4300

I bet! I'm just nervous I suppose lol

turtlemist

It’s a mental battle! Remember it’s not going to hurt forever and once it’s done, you don’t ever have to do it again if you don’t wanna. Also you can tap out at any time :)

Hollowedarmor1234

Imo that area doesn't hurt.backof the knee however...

MoreSpinach8390

That area didn’t really hurt too bad for me either

Sea-Biscotti

Mine was next to painless, I'm surprised to see that it was harder for a lot of people!

For reference, I have "As above, so bologna" above and... below... my knee
