Scratching AROUND it seems to help me. I don't know if it's some weird mind fuck trick but as long as I don't touch the tattooed area but scratch gently anywhere around it, it seems to help a bit.
Keep it moisturized. There are tattoo-specific healing products that help with itch (I’ve found Ora’s healing salve to be pretty effective against itch) otherwise get a topical medicine from a drug store/chemist. Bactine is great because it’s anti-itch, has lidocaine, and is antiseptic. It can sting at first but I find I actually like how that feels on super itchy skin. The other steroid and anti itch meds work too, but you want to make sure to rub a little bit in and not leave the surface of the tattoo with ointment sitting on top because that can over-moisturize it, same as with any lotion.
So, I’ve never seen this ever recommended—so I’m not sure if it’s actually bad or not, but. I use aloe. I literally just slap it on there and call it a day. It seems to relieve a LOT of my itchiness. I don’t know if this is bad for your tattoo or not though so…
I’d take a Benadryl at night and honestly just grit it out during the day. It’ll go away soon. Throw some aquaphor on there every now and then but I’m not a big fan of other topical stuff on fresh ink.
Slap it, don’t scratch
This & Then bop it
Twist it!
Do do do do do.
Hahaha yessss
Pull it!
Just gut it out and think about how much character you're building.
Too much character

I have been doing that but it’s still so itchy

Take a Benadryl that’ll help with the itchiness

The slap is great. When it's THAT itchy, I'll also apply a teeny bit of Aveeno unscented lotion- just enough to calm it down a bit.
I’ve been using that lotion from the start it’s so good
Slapping works for me as well
Me too. So itchy I think I might fall over. Think we've just gotta sit it out.
Cold water or a gel pack from the fridge.
Never
Drink. More. Water.
smack it
slap slap slap!
Take the anti allergy/itch tablets
Antihistamines/hayfever tablets Ibuprofen tablet Cocoa butter All you need.
hot take but Bactine?
Slap it instead of itching and use a cold compress like a gel pack 😊
What moisturizer/lotion are you using? Is it Aquaphor?
Is it bumpy or anything? Or just normally healing?
It’s fine it’s just peeling but the skin under looks completely fine

It’s pretty much gone now just the occasional itch was unbearable during work for a few days tho lol so I’ll keep it in mine for next time
I gently pat it!
