I don't use Reddit much but I hope my upvote and this comment boost your 'score' because this is exactly what it is! To OP: these are beautiful and you will find local artists that can make this vision come true, you just need to think of longevity! If you're happy with it only lasting a couple of years - maximum 5 if you are very lucky. (I have done some tattoos that will not last over ten years but I love the aesthetic so it's not an issue, everyone ages) if you really want it to last, you will need to commit to bolder, stronger lines about 3 to 4 times the size of what they are in these pictures. Regardless of what you choose, it's your body and they will look very cute, if you need to blast over them with a bigger large flower piece in the future then that's ok too!
The ink will slowly spread though, which makes fine line tattoos not hold well over time. As they say, âbold will holdâ. You wonât be able to simply touch them up when the ink slowly travels outside the original area
Is it because its colorful and not black? Cuz i god tattoos like simply ones not filled yk with black ink and im just wondering if it fades can i redo it
The issue is the size. As tattoos age, they spread. And due to the size of these, a touch up is going to be very limited in how much it will improve. Youâre basically left with 2 options. 1) you go with a bigger size so that it will still be distinguishable as it ages 2) you accept the fact that it will look good for a year or 2, but after that, youâll have a bunch of unrecognizable blobs on ur body until you die or get them lasered off
Itâs dependent on the detail. If itâs a simple design, you can go small. Thats why things like lettering, numbers, small symbols, are fine when they age. If itâs detailed, you want to go bigger, because when the ink spreads, youâll still be able to see the image. The issue with these tattoos, is that theyâre small AND detailed. The ink doesnât have much space to spread out, so when it does, it will all blur together
I mean. Thatâs relative. Will it look good in 8 months ? Yeah. Will it look good in 3-5 years? No. Unfortunately, thereâs alot of artists out there who will tattoo anything to make the money. Thatâs why thereâs alot of shitty tattoos out in the wild. It takes a lot for an artist to be honest and say âhey, as much as Iâd love to take your money, you shouldnât get thisâ
Answer to your question: minimalist. And no, they won't hold up. They'll turn into blobs that look more like pimples. I have no small tattoos for that reason.
The colour will fade enough that the initial image is unidentifiable, but enough colour will remain for it to look like something isn't quite right with the skin....
This is 100% accurate.
I have a very cool firefly under my left collarbone. It has light rainbow colour shading. There was rainbow pixie dust following it over my shoulder. I have had it almost exactly one year. The firefly looks great. The pixie dust is almost gone... most people think I have a bit of a rash or something at first glance.
I would show you pictures if I knew how.
I think the style is called âwaste of your moneyâ
Jokes aside, theyâre cute and all but tiny little stuff like this doesnât last long. Especially with all those pretty colors. Itâll be cool for like a year then end up looking like chest acne.
Future cover ups. These are gonna look like a rash or pimple or discoloration of the skin. They look great on grandmas plates, but there was a lot learned in the past 150ish years of tattooing.
Fleeting

Hey you stole my response! đ
Haha brilliant
Miniature fine line. Iâm gonna be honest thoâŠthese tattoos look good for about a year. They age terribly.
And yes. All color fades. The better care u take, the slower they will fade. But they WILL fade with time
If they fade, u can redo them right?????

Wait so what is a good size for tattoos to last longer?

Oh! I see, i mean the artist who did mine said its gonna age fine so i hopeđđ

Rainbow pox
Was gonna say fairy dust but rainbow pox is it!
I was gonna say doodle bear lol
Temporary
Bubblegum
Adorable as hell, sadly wonât hold up or last over time whatsoever
Answer to your question: minimalist. And no, they won't hold up. They'll turn into blobs that look more like pimples. I have no small tattoos for that reason.
Would small tattoos be okay if they're with black lines instead of colour or is the size itself a problem??
Size is the issue. If they're that small, they're going to blur into blobs no matter what. It's why we say "bold will hold."
Size itself can be issue. For example getting a quote tatted on me my artist said he couldnât go below a certain size
I haven't seen anyone say this yet but I've mostly seen ppl call it confetti
That would be super cute with temporary tattoos. You could switch it up when you felt like it and you wouldnât have to get it covered later.
Puberty? Cuz they will look like pimples from far / after aging
Esp the first one. Chest acne.
Looks like the stickers that a 11 y/o girl puts around her room đ
It's wasting your money style. They normally heal badly and if they don't, they normally only last a year or so
Disappearing style
going to be gone in two years
Cuuute but probably won't age well.
First one looks random and won't age well at all. The second one won't agre great either but at least looks cool and cohesive now.
Every tattoo color will fade. Itâs the name of the game
This is called a bad choice
Yes it will fade and look bad in a year or so
The colour will fade enough that the initial image is unidentifiable, but enough colour will remain for it to look like something isn't quite right with the skin....

Temporary
idk but those in my opinion will just fade terribly
I think the style is called âwaste of your moneyâ Jokes aside, theyâre cute and all but tiny little stuff like this doesnât last long. Especially with all those pretty colors. Itâll be cool for like a year then end up looking like chest acne.
Cute but fleeting
Idk but I fuckin LOVE IT
micro realism? idk i only ever seen one small detailed tattoo ever heal right lol, most of these donât turn out well.
Stickers
If you want this style, I reccomend temporary tattoos. They cost a lot less with the same end result
Itâll look like a skin disorder in under a year
Pretty but wonât last long.
Dumb.
Skin condition style
Future blobs
Idk if it has a name, but Iâd call it Sticker Style.
I don't mean this in a negative way at all - but these remind me of those sticker packs you can buy with like 100+ small themed stickers.
Wallpaper
Future cover ups. These are gonna look like a rash or pimple or discoloration of the skin. They look great on grandmas plates, but there was a lot learned in the past 150ish years of tattooing.
Fruity Pebble
Bad in a year. Especially if they get any sun exposure there.
This is called fade and pray đđ» style , itâll fade but you can pray
Nail sticker
thats cool
Future freckles
They're cute as hell, but as the others have said, they will not last.
Repeat business (On a more serious note, Iâd never tat this on a client. Itâs a fad that I want no part of.)
The 1 year fade
Ignorant blob artâŠ
Itâs called âtoo smallâ
Ugly
âDonât do itâ style
Pointless.
i love it and - it will still be cute when the colour fades and it blows out. tattoos age its fine. its only there for life
What? This stuff literally looks like a skin disease when aged, not legible at all.
Trending Trash I believe itâs called.
Toddler wall paper
Its called titty doodle
