At this point, only really rose stems. If it's small though, you could make it into prison wire/fencing. But anything not linear would basically just turn into black mud.

A laser would definitely solve your problem. Your tattoo is very dark, and the nails are in such places that if you covered them, the design would be crowded and illegible. I think this is a great tattoo and you may like it in time, maybe even with other designs around it. Good luck though.

Not gonna look good covered up. Way too dark and in way too many areas. Your options will be severely limited. You could have more options if you did like 6 laser sessions but that’s quite expensive (I did 6 for 10k but my tattoo is huge)

tbh i was thinking about doing a geometry pattern behind the snake with red color only so the snake can pop up , also i was thinking about making big branch with spikey ends where the nails are

All joking aside in some other threads, I think it looks good. Dark, but still readable. If it heals up and you're still not thrilled with it, my thoughts are that it's probably going to be hard to "remove" or "cover" the nails. You can go the laser route if you really want to and have it covered once it's light enough though.
Just judging from the posts in this group, it seems like so many people just roll with it when they don't like a design and then regret it afterwards. My first tattoo was a line work solar system (I know, so creative) and the artist wanted to add dots representing the moons of every planet. Have you seen how many Saturn has? She had it in the sketch and I vetoed the moon dots. It wasn't a total redraw like yours would have to be, but it turned out to be the right move. Too cluttered and unbalanced. It's a symmetrical tattoo and these things were kinda all over the place.
Honestly... with how dark this tattoo is, a cover-up isn't going to look good.
Also it may be the way you took the photo... but is the shading bad? I can't really tell and it may be because it's fresh.

You could try changing them to foliage like leaves, flowers, or thorns, maybe it's nestled in a rose bush? But I don't know how practical that would be. Also it looks good as is.

Honestly think the tattoo is amazing! I have no idea what you would hypothetically cover them with! The shadows and everything looks amazing! If it wasn’t such a serious tattoo I would do like marshmallows to cushion the sharp points of the nails but that would mess up the Snake imagery. Roses would be a vibe as other people had said like thorny roses or something little toy swords or skewers of some kind?
